Chapter 34 - 34 17 How Difficult is it for Him_1
Chapter 34: Chapter 17: How Difficult is it for Him?_1 Chapter 34: Chapter 17: How Difficult is it for Him?_1 “Master huh, Little Tuantu lai lo~!” Dasima had just called out in the live broadcast room when a milky, childish voice echoed through the room.
No sooner had Little Tuantu appeared than the barrage of comments surged: “I’M SUPER! TUAN!”
“Tuantu so cute squeeze.”
“Circus god back in position!”
“Damn, I just got here, are we going to co-stream a game? Starting with a bang? Two top streamers, huh!”
“What game is so worthy that two top streamers will carry it? How much did they get paid for this?”
With the barrage from some viewers just entering the live broadcast room, a few more voices piped up within.
“Yi yi yi, can you hear me.”
“Mr. Ma is here!”
“Hello Tuantu sis, hello Mr. Ma.”
Along with them were several rookie streamers from the same guild.
They were brought along mainly because after the Shark Platform briefly understood the game rules, they found out that “Goose Duck Kill” required at least six or more players to start a match.
To play it safe and to avoid any live broadcast accidents during the co-stream with fans,
choosing some obedient rookie streamers from their own platform was more secure.
“Master wa, what game are we playing this time?” Little Tuantu had only received a notice from the channel admin, but still didn’t know what the game was about.
“A game that requires high intelligence, tailor-made for me. If you don’t know how to play, follow me closely and learn,” Dasima said earnestly, but once the mic was off, he couldn’t help but snicker at the camera, emitting a piercing laugh like the harbinger of a plague.
“Okay, okay, then I’ll accompany Master for a bit, but I can only play a few rounds, I’ve got something else to do later,” Little Tuantu tactfully reminded.
The channel admin had just told her they would play a couple or three rounds just for show, to make the point without going overboard.
After all, the promotion fee wasn’t much, and it wasn’t worth it for two top streamers to go all out promoting someone else.
“Chì chù,” Dasima intoned slowly.
As all the streamers got connected and entered the game,
the multitude of in-game roles dazzled everyone.
“Fascinating, this game has quite a number of roles,” Little Tuantu said as she read, “There are ducks, and geese, sheriff geese, professional killer ducks, pelicans, celebrity geese, assassin ducks… that’s quite a lot.”
“The developer did a quite a thorough job.”
“But what’s the gameplay, guys, I’m not very clear on it right now.”
“How about Master, we start with one round?”
“Chì chù,” Dasima was still unhurried.
In fact, he hadn’t looked at the game rules carefully at all.
After reaching middle age, once there’s a lot of text, the desire to read it in detail fades. If the rules are too complicated, he doesn’t want to listen either.
That’s just how hotheads are.
To play, just press play.
Going for a completely uninformed approach.
A group of confused and clueless streamers chose the beginner’s guide level mode for their first round.
In this mode, among the six players, only one is a duck (wolf), and the other five are geese (villagers), but they can’t know each other’s identities.
The duck has a small knife with a cooldown, which it can use to lock onto a goose and execute a kill.
If the duck manages to kill all the geese, it will win the game.
Conversely, if the geese can complete the tasks given by the system before the duck kills all its teammates, then the geese win.
Of course, the geese can’t see other interfaces while doing tasks, making them vulnerable to the duck’s assassination.
This requires players to weigh the pros and cons themselves.
Beyond that, the game also has an altar set up in the center of the map where players can choose to ring a bell.
Then all members will enter a discussion and voting phase, each with one vote, to eject the most suspicious duck.
This setting retains the core gameplay of Werewolf to the greatest extent, while also giving players more operational space.
In classical Werewolf, you can only mechanically point fingers/click with the mouse, and most of the time, it’s through speech that players guide the direction of the game.
It’s not that it isn’t fun, but such hardcore gameplay limits its appeal to a small niche audience.
However, in Goose Duck Kill, villagers can even dodge an impending assassination through their movement or use real-time vocal reminds to alert other villagers to help themselves, giving players a greater sense of participation.
But, in the first round of the game,
maybe because the rookie streamers weren’t familiar enough, they were too shy to talk to Dasima and Tuantu.
Or maybe no one quite grasped the game rules.
The whole round was spent just running around the map and doing tasks as prompted by the system.
One player who had taken the role of the duck assassin managed to kill someone but went undiscovered.
In the end, the game ended blandly with the civilian geese completing their tasks.
After one round, the barrage was full of question marks.
“?????”
“No, what’s this?”
“Can this even be called a game?”
“No fun at all, doesn’t measure up to the turn-based game Ma played yesterday!”
“How much money did they stuff in for such a trashy game to get two top streamers to carry, huh?”
“How can this be carried? Even if you called every top streamer on the entire network, it wouldn’t budge an inch!”
“What kind of brain-dead game designer could make such a game?”
“Stop playing, don’t want to watch, it’s boring, switch to something else quickly!”
Dasima glanced at the barrage and said, “Guys, don’t rush, I’ve roughly got the hang of this game now. Wuhu psychology is officially starting!”
What do you think?
