Ye Guan turned and found a young man dressed in a black robe with his hands clasped behind his back. The young man was smiling while staring at Ye Guan.

Ye Guan frowned slightly. "Master Pagoda, is the sense of danger coming from him?"

Little Pagoda replied, "Yes."

Just then, Helian Qi noticed Ye Guan's gaze and asked, "What's wrong?"

Ye Guan stared at the black-robed youth. "He harbors killing intent toward me."

Helian Qi frowned and looked at the young man. "He's Jin Yuan, a genius from the Shikigami Mercenary Group."

"The top priority now is to get in touch with my sister," Ye Guan remarked and glanced at the Nine Continents Tower. "Miss Helian, can you get her to come out? Tell her that her younger brother's life is in danger."

Ye Guan urgently needed to complete his task to have his cultivation base unsealed, but for that to happen, his sister had to come out and take care of him.

Helian Qi shook her head. "I contacted her earlier, but I couldn't reach her. She's likely in a duel right now."

Jin Yuan stared at her silently.

Helian Qi continued to smile. "Jin Yuan, if you want to make a move, think carefully."

Jin Yuan's gaze grew colder. "Helian Qi, I could use the same words toward you. He's wanted by the Genesis Daoist Temple. Aren't you afraid of bringing catastrophe upon your Helian Clan?"

Helian Qi smiled faintly. "Mind your own business."

Ye Guan was silent.

After a tense pause, Jin Yuan ultimately chose not to act. He glanced coldly at Ye Guan before turning around and leaving.

With that, she led Ye Guan back to the inn.

In her room, Helian Qi picked up a teacup, sipped lightly, and said, "This is a serious matter. My Helian Clan cannot protect you, nor can we bear the consequences of doing so."

Helian Qi's words were blunt, but Ye Guan simply nodded. "Thank you for what you did earlier."

Just then, an elder slowly walked into the inn.
