Chapter 937 - 937 936. The dead person
Chapter 937: 936. The dead person Chapter 937: 936. The dead person Amber stood there, atop countless writhing tentacles, among the monsters shrouded in dark mist and hidden in the shadows.
Her white dress flowed down to her pale, delicate feet which trod upon the filthy, fierce, and ugly creatures, yet not a speck of dirt sullied her.
Pure as a saint, she contrasted starkly with the surrounding profane, bizarre, and terrifying scene, like a white flower blooming in tainted blood, as if it would be stained by the surroundings at any moment, yet seemingly forever untouched by the world.
Upon seeing Lu Ban and Shia, Amber appeared to understand something, and her expression carried a hint of anguish.
“Cui Siter and Red Leaf have already left?” she asked.
Amber’s voice was soft yet audible, especially amidst the confrontation between the black and white monsters; it was like a sharp, clear spring that brought some clarity to this chaotic world.
“When did you find out?” Lu Ban asked in a deep voice, shielding Shia behind him, which gave Amber a somewhat sorrowful look.
Even though Lu Ban knew if Shia learned the whole truth, she would likely make the same choice as Cui Siter, she was currently unaware, and it was Lu Ban’s duty to protect her from harm.
Whether it came from these white monsters or from Amber.
“From the very beginning,” Amber’s voice was tinged with sadness, resembling the plaintive song of a nightingale.
“It might be because of my close connection to the Divine Sakura, or perhaps some other reason, but when this world was formed and I was born into it, I remembered everything.”
What do you think?
