In a land of eternal night where will-o'-the-wisps floated and shadows wandered, a lone goblin sat on the throne in the grand hall of the Goblin Palace, propping his chin on his hand.

Two other goblins, towering figures with muscular builds, stood on either side of the throne, holding magical clubs and guarding their king. They were dressed in modified hanbok, resembling the attire of military officers from the Joseon Dynasty.

The Goblin King's narrow eyes focused on the intruder who had entered the grand hall.

She was wearing a school uniform.

A girl with golden hair that fluttered as she walked forward.

The Goblin King spoke in a calm tone, though his voice was laced with wariness.

The golden-haired intruder, Golden Ram, stopped in her tracks, crossing her arms and responding indifferently.

Golden Ram had been watching over An Woo-jin and Kim Dal-bi for a long time. She had noticed something troubling and had come to this otherworldly realm to resolve it.

This was not the world Woo-jin lived in but another parallel world.

A place where beings of high rank, who couldn’t be observed by humans and were often considered 'gods,' resided.

"Kim Dal-bi. The price for using her powers seems incredibly unfair, doesn’t it?"

[“Does being an avatar of the Golden Ram give you the right to meddle in others' affairs?”]

The Goblin King retorted with a hint of irritation in his voice.

[“All I desire are the vivid resources that arise from intense memories and emotions. I don’t understand why that bothers you. If anything, you should be pleased that she can use my powers to that extent.”]

As Golden Ram had explained to Woo-jin, it was a type of power granted by beings of a higher dimension.

The unique ability that Kim Dal-bi possessed was derived from the Goblin King.
