Chapter 472: Chapter 473: Seven Divine Spirits
The horn sound emanating from deep within the Lost Sea seemed filled with Magic Power, compelling sea creatures to mindlessly swim in one direction.
But unfortunately, the horn sound did not last long. Just as Lide decided to set out and investigate, it abruptly vanished.
The air bore no trace of what had happened, as if nothing had occurred at all.
And those sea creatures influenced by the horn sound came to their senses and scattered in all directions…
Lide watched this strange and eerie scene with a persisting unease…
Since arriving in the Lost Sea, things had been off.
This sea seemed to hide some earth-shattering secret…
“Regardless,” Lide thought, “I should wait for Castro to return. The Destiny Tablet fragment is the purpose of this trip. Whatever else happens, no matter how strange, must wait…”
After steadying his mind, Lide did not dwell on it any further and made his way to Sea God Island.
The air became still, with only the sounds of the waves and the sea breeze remaining.
A peculiar tranquility set in…
Night had deepened, and because of the rifts, not a sliver of light pierced the dense clouds that shrouded everything.
Frey had vanished again, leaving Lide alone on the island.
There was a moment of reflection for Lide. If he’d known, he would have brought the chatty Withered Bone with him—it’s better to have someone to talk to than to be bored.
Time ticked away slowly, and to Lide’s surprise, Castro had not returned after four or five Sunshine Hours.
And during this time, that strange horn sound was heard once more.
This time, like before, the sound only lasted for perhaps less than five minutes, still drawing numerous sea creatures toward the center of the area.
Night receded, and dawn broke.
Lide had waited through the night, but still, there was no sight of Castro, which made him furrow his brows.
Under normal circumstances, this time was enough for Castro to make the trip three to five times… What was happening now??
The wait continued until noon, when he finally saw the steel behemoth speeding toward him in the sky.
Whoosh whoosh~
Castro, with a wingspan of 20 blades, landed directly on the island, but there wasn’t just Betty on its back.
Two graceful figures leapt down and made their way towards Lide.
“Good morning, Lord Lide.”
Betty was the first to speak, the Northern Land Valkyrie’s eyes filled with indescribable joy and excitement upon seeing Lide.
Lide nodded slightly, his gaze drifting to the figure on Betty’s right—a girl with a proud tilt to her head whose face was calm, yet her inner pride was palpable.
What do you think?
