Chapter 258
Chapter 258
It felt like we had been walking for forever. My feet were sore. I had since started flying. The same was true for Hana, Layla, and Shayle. Chronomancer Gerdell Sinclair, on the other hand, looked like she was having a normal leisurely walk through her Timeless Eden. As far as I'd noticed, none of the doors showed the same time. They were all different.
Hana had tried to ask Gerdell about the doors earlier. Despite the pink-haired trickster's high energy and incessant questioning, the chronomancer patiently answered each and every one. Apparently, alternate timelines and worlds existed behind each one. There very well could be one where I was still a boy, living a normal non-sex filled life.
In spite of all the questions, it seemed even Hana had a limit. She ran out of things to ask and grew bored. The others started shooting me glances to talk to Gerdell. I finally caved after Shayle nudged me in the back for the hundredth time.
"Hey, uh… Gerdell? What exactly do you need our help with?" I asked.
"I'm glad you finally asked." Gerdell glanced over her shoulder and smirked.
"If you knew what I was going to say, you should have just answered!"
"There exists an issue I must resolve every once in a while," she began gladly. "They can be quite the conundrum. Temporal anomalies. In an infinitely growing number of timelines, some threads, for a lack of a better description… become entangled. Now, a few knots here and there are fine. But they will eventually need to be ironed out. That is what I do every some odd years. However, my presence in a timeline can adversely affect everything in and around it if I stay too long. This is where you come in. Non-timeless ones such as yourselves present a minimal risk to a timeline. Are you all still following me?"
We nodded slowly.
Gerdell stopped in front of a door without a time on it.
"Is that the timeline with the temporal anomaly?" I asked.
"No, don't be silly. This is my Chamber of Causality," Gerdell replied.
The chronomancer opened the door, and we entered a giant chamber round in shape. There was no ceiling or rooftop, only a blanket of space with stars and galaxies above us. The floor beneath our feet was made of brass. A maze had been carved into it, unreachable to us behind a glass pane. Several metal balls ran through the many paths as though trying to find the exit.
Hana spread her wings and was about to fly off until Gerdell yanked her back down by the tail. She wagged a finger.
"That is actual space up there. I recommend against wandering away from me," Gerdell warned.
Everyone gulped.
Along the walls were paintings and statues. I noticed a bust sitting in a recess of a man's head whose likeness reminded me of Gerdell. Family, maybe?
"Is this a bust of your father?" I asked.
"Hm? Oh, no. That's me, from before I became this way," Gerdell said.
"Huh? As in… Your gender changed like me?"
"Well, that is where the similarities end." She shook her head and laughed. "I found my previous shell insufficient. So, I rewinded time until I was but two cells meeting for the first time, rearranging my biological form to a more… comfortable one," she answered as a matter of factly.
My brain was melting from the information. Gerdell… went back in time to alter her entire existence? No wonder neither Beatrice nor the Demon King could defeat her. She was on another level of power.
The fact that Gerdell was willing to help me was a miracle in and of itself.
"Oh, I almost forgot! I brought these for you. I was told you were into things from Earth." I pulled out of my pack the plastic bag containing numerous merchandise.
Gerdell's eyes widened. She fished into the bag, and I held my breath. For all I knew, Queen Elendir and Yumi were bullshitting me about what the chronomancer liked. The first thing Gerdell pulled out was a matcha chocolate bar and erotic doujin.
"Ah. This is from Megane Sensei? The up and coming mangaka has been making waves in the industry, hasn't she?" Gerdell smiled.
"I'm still a little weirded out that an all-powerful chronomancer likes that kind of porn…" I mumbled.
Gerdell called forth a table and lounging chair for herself. She brought out the Japanese snacks I'd purchased as tributes to her, eating them while casually flipping over a page. Shayle opened her mouth to protest and was frozen in time. The rest of us dared not interrupt her porn-reading time.
"I won't spare any time with the hospitalities or the likes. My time is precious, and I imagine, so is yours. There are two temporal anomalies I'd like for you to look into. Both just so happen to involve you. The first falls right in your home city of Tsukiji, Japan. From a different timeline, of course. I believe it has something to do with you, Saeko." Gerdell took her eyes off the doujin to look at me.
"Me, how?" I blinked absentmindedly at her.
"That certainly is the question, isn't it? Your life has created quite the number of knots, but one such tangle requires our attention. I'm only able to detect that an anomaly needs addressing; you will need to descend into the timeline to investigate and figure out what needs fixing," she explained.
Before I could question Gerdell, she closed the doujin and put away the box of chocolates. Shayle was also able to move again.
"Gods you're infuriating." Shayle groaned aloud. "Are you done?"
"Yes— Well, I am in the future, so I've already partaken of Saeko's snacks and have read Megane Sensei's book. What hasn't happened yet, and what I hope will soon, is your fixing of the temporal anomaly. Are you ready?" Gerdell asked.
I exchanged glances with each of my companions. They all gave me a nod, and I nodded to Gerdell that we were as ready as ever. The chronomancer flashed a smile and strolled into the center of the brass ring. She fixed the base of the hourglass staff to a hole in the middle, and it clicked into place like a key and lock. It perturbed me to see the arms of her clock eyes grind to a stop. The universe above us seemed to freeze, too.
Tumbling metal balls raced through the maze beneath our feet. Layla hugged me from behind out of fright, her anxious eyes darting about the place.
"I'm sending you to the timeline with the temporal anomaly now. Be sure not to deviate too much and damage the world," Gerdell warned.
"Wait! How are we supposed to know what the anomaly is and how to fix it?" I asked.
"You will know." She tapped a finger to her head. "It feels like there's a prick in the back of your mind telling you something is off. You may end up sharing your timeline counterpart's sense of what needs to be done. Think of it like a… deja vu or seeing things kind of sensation you have and let it guide you."
"You're telling us to follow our instincts? Some chronomancer you are!" Shayle shook an angry fist, but the maze transformed into a black hole that sucked us through.
When I next opened my eyes, the four of us were floating over the familiar skyline of Tsukiji. My jaw dropped. If someone had told me we just teleported home, I'd believe them. But I knew for sure this wasn't the Tsukiji of my timeline, but of a different one that contained a different version of me, including everyone I'd come to know.
Shayle was still fuming when arrived, arms folded and pouting. Layla looked just fine, and Hana… Hana was wearing a bushy fake mustache and a pair of oversized glasses. Instead of the signature side pigtails, she wore her hair straight down. Her succubus outfit had been replaced by overalls, and she had one of those big red backpacks that school children often used.
"Okay, there's so much going on with that outfit that I don't even know where to begin… First of all, why the costume?" I asked with a sigh.
"Why not? We're supposed to stay hidden! What better way than with a disguise? Besides, you know how annoying I can be. The last thing I want to do is run into me from this timeline!" Hana exclaimed.
"That's very meta of you…"
"Did you bring a disguise for me?" Layla pointed eagerly at herself.
"Why the fak would I bring you a disguise? Get your own!" She shooed the succubus.
Layla deflated, and I almost felt sorry for her. We decided to split up into pairs to cover our search. Layla was with me, and Hana went with Shayle. The four of us would reconvene at a little known cafe in downtown Tsukiji at 7 in the evening.
Out of an abundance of caution, Layla and I hid our auras, an ability only afforded to the two of us since we were greater succubi. The plan was that we would search the suburban and port half of Tsukiji, while the other pair searched downtown Tsukiji. Gerdell insisted that we just needed to let our instincts take over in order to find this temporal anomaly, so we were just going to have to trust and look blindly for a while.
In the back of my mind, I couldn't shake the idea of finding myself in this timeline. Mio, too. I really wanted to see what the differences between us were.
Then, like a stroke of luck, I saw them. Strolling into the city, hand in hand, was Saeko and Mio.
I couldn't believe my eyes. There I was. There Saeko was, a boy instead of as a girl though. I— He didn't look that much different than in highschool. Gerdell assured us that this was the same year and month from my timeline. Still, it was surreal to see myself as a boy like that. Seeing that Mio and I were together in this timeline was kind of cute though. Maybe we were just meant together.
They were about to disappear out of sight into the crowds. Every fiber of my being wanted to follow them…
This was my world… but a different timeline. Gerdell did say that we should take our time and investigate thoroughly. Following my other self would just be part of the investigation. Besides, they might turn up with something.
"Okay, Layla. We're going to follow me of this world," I said.
"We are? Are you sure that's a good idea? N-Not that I'm questioning you, Queen Saeko!" Layla stammered.
"It's entirely possible that there's a temporal anomaly around me, remember what Gerdell said? We'll tail them for a little bit to make sure."
Layla relented. Our auras were already hidden, so we just cast an illusory spell to make our appearance human. The last thing we needed was Mio or any other succubus to find us. That might cause a big problem and worsen the temporal anomaly.
Boy me and Mio were taking a stroll downtown. The two of us blended into the crowds and followed them from behind. They stopped by a candy store, and to no surprise, Mio purchased a bunch of spicy candy and stuffed mouthfuls into herself. Still the same, it seemed. Just like in my world, they were in a relationship. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. Nothing suggested there was an anomaly around them either. But if I wasn't a succubus here, that meant I also wasn't the succubus queen. Who was? Mio?
Maybe I should just stop wasting time, and—
"Saeko?" An incredibly familiar voice close to my heart had called out to me.
I'd recognize it anywhere. It was Kana!
When I spun around, I came face to face with my boyfriend from my timeline. He didn't look much different either.
Panic suddenly washed over me. Was I not supposed to be seen by someone who knew me? Wasn't this really bad? As I stood there petrified, Kana had drawn close to me with a look of disbelief.
"I-I knew we should have worn disguises like Hana!" Layla tugged on my arm, urging us to fly and escape.
"Those disguises would only make us stand out more!" I retorted.
"It's really you! Didn't you hate being a succubus?" Kana came up to me and asked.
Right. This timeline of me chose not to stay as a succubus or girl. Assuming things transpired similarly to where I came from, it must have happened right after they defeated Queen Beatrice. I wouldn't know for sure without finding out more. Maybe Kana could tell me…
But I didn't want to screw up this timeline and create more temporal anomalies. I still had my libido to worry about, too.
"Erm… Well, I kind of had an itch. It's only temporary! I only wanted to get a feel of being a succubus again," I said.
I wanted to have sex so bad right now. My pussy needed it. Anyone would do, but Kana was right next to me. Would it be fine? They were the same person, after all. There virtually wasn't any difference between them. At least I thought.
The scent of lust in Kana was just as strong as ever, and it was directed to me. That led me to believe that when this timeline's Saeko was a succubus, they hooked up. Gerdell did enlist me and the others because we presented little risk…
"Anyway, it looks like you're busy. I don't want to hold you up. I'll see you!" Kana was about to take his leave until I grabbed his hand.
"You want to… hang out at your place?" I asked.
"Eh? S-Sure," he stammered.
We followed Kana back to his home. When I checked the calendar in the foyer, it was a Saturday. Was he in town for the weekend? Judging by the fact that Saeko and Mio were out on a date, and Kana wasn't with him… could they not be in a relationship together?
I almost thought that was the temporal anomaly, but my instincts told me otherwise.
Another problem pricked at me. Within the confines of Kana's house, the scent of lust had grown stronger, suffocatingly so. I was getting hornier.
"Oh, I still haven't met you yet. I'm Kana. Nice to meet you!" Kana stuck a hand out to Layla.
Huh. Those two hadn't met in this world?
"You can call me Layla!" Layla grabbed his hand and shook.
"It's been a while since we hung out, Saeko. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised you're not with Mio right now. I'll put on a game. Does Mario Party sound—"
I pushed Kana onto the couch. He glanced up at me in shock.
"I can't stop myself… I need it. I need your dick inside me." I panted.
Speechless, Kana only gulped hard.
"Can I join, Queen Saeko? I'm horny, too!" Layla whispered.
"No," I said, and her shoulders slackened in dejection. "Okay, fine. Kana, you can have sex with her after me."
"Wait, really?" Kana gasped.
Without answering, I ripped my clothes and climbed onto his lap. His eyes were glued to my breasts. It wasn't long before a pair of grasping hands found purchase on them, kneading the mounds. I unzipped his pants and pulled a throbbing dick out. It looked ready to explode. I sat down on it right away, and that was exactly what happened. Hot cum poured into my pussy.
A dazed and blissful look fell over Kana's face, but I wasn't done yet. I bounced vigorously, savoring how his modest member slid in and out of me.
"Kana… Kana! Your dick feels so good! More… I want you to keep screwing me!" I cried in pleasure.
"I don't think… you've ever been this… passionate before… Saeko, I'm going to cum!" Kana winced.
"Good! Shoot it all! Shoot every last drop into my pussy— aahhhh!"
Kana's cock twitched uncontrollably inside me and spurted another load. I shuddered from an incredible orgasm reverberating through my body. The strength to stay up left me, and I collapsed on top of him. Our hot, sweaty bodies pressed against each other, unwilling to part. I sealed my lips on his, taking him by surprise.
The two of us made out sloppily. Layla masturbated from the other end of the couch, staring with envy. When I got off Kana, a flood of jizz gushed out of my pussy.
"Okay, Layla. Your turn. Oh, and as a reward for helping to lure the chronomancer earlier…" I snapped my finger and conjured black chains that bound the succubus.
Just simply having the chains tightened brought her to an orgasm. She worm-wriggled her way up to Kana's dick to give him a blowjob.
"Shllurp… mmmh… fhank you… Hueen Shaeko!" Layla sucked eagerly, and Kana threw his head back in ecstasy.
By now, I knew for sure there wasn't a temporal anomaly associated with Kana. My instincts would be firing off warning bells. Gerdell mentioned it had to do with me, so I figured he was a possibility.
"Hey, Saeko?" Kana spoke up suddenly.
"Yeah?" I faced a serious expression gazing back at me despite the pleasure of being sucked off by a succubus.
"You're not the Saeko I know, are you?" he asked.
Uh, oh.
What do you think?
