Holy Necromancer: Rebirth of the Strongest Mage

Chapter 1111 1111: Return of Traitor

The Herriet family was anxiously awaiting the return of their battleship, carrying their descendant who had survived the ancient battlefield.

The only problem was that the battleship was late, which caused them to worry. They attempted to communicate with it, but all communications appeared to be down. They couldn't even locate the ship anymore.

After numerous meetings among the upper echelon of the Herriet family, they decided to send a search party to find their battleship and, more importantly, their descendant.

The Herriet Family's battleships departed their territory, advancing toward the areas near the battlefield, especially those under the influence of pirates.

The Herriet Family's ships searched across the galaxy, attempting to locate their lost battleship, but they failed to find it.

On the seventh day since their last communication with the lost battleship, they received a transmission from the search party.

"Did you find it?" the Herriet Family Head asked before the other party could even speak.

"We are near the destination where the lost ship was supposed to meet with Young Lord Jalen. But something seems to be extremely wrong here."

"What do you mean?"

"We can see traces of what appears to be a battle that took place here. There are remnants of two battleships that seem to have been destroyed," the Captain of the battleship said, observing the remnants of the battleships floating through space.

"They are destroyed beyond recognition. There is no way to confirm the identity of these ships at the moment, but it's highly likely that one of them is ours."

"What?!" The Herriet Family Head slammed his hand on the armrest of his throne, making the entire throne crumble, which in turn made him fall on his butt.

He quickly recovered, and stood up before commanding, "I don't care how long it takes! Confirm the identity of the two ships! If one is indeed ours, then I want to know the owner of the others that dared to do this!"

"I will do as instructed." The communication was cut off, and silence returned to the place. But the Herriet Family patriarch wasn't at peace.

He had thought that it was time for his clan to rise with a descendant that returned alive from the battlefield.

He was even thinking about changing the heir, as they joined one of the rare few clans that had their descendants return alive from the battlefield of death. But everything was for naught.

He was convinced that someone had done this because they didn't want his clan to rise. Why else would someone kill his descendants for no reason? He had promised himself that he was going to find out the person responsible for it.

Suddenly, the door of his room opened and a young woman barged inside, "Father! The lost ship..."

"I want to be alone for now! Leave!" The Herriet Family patriarch scoffed at the woman, who seemed to be huffing, as if she had been running for a long time.

He thought that she was simply here to ask if the ship was found or not, as the descendant who returned was supposed to be her own son. At this moment, he didn't want to tell her that her son was already dead.

"The lost ship!" The woman exclaimed, not listening to her father. "It's back!"

She quickly grabbed her father's hand, and dragged him outside, as her eyes were filled with a longing worth of a lifetime.

When her son was selected to enter the battlefield because of his lack of talent, she had believed that her son was never going to return. She had been heartbroken. But ever since the news came that her son was returning, she had been waiting for him.

The last week was filled with a myriad of emotions for her, as she received news of her son being alive, and then the news of the battleship disappearing. But now, finally the battleship was back.

Not just her, but many other prominent names in the Herriet Family left the mansion to welcome the battleship that was bringing someone who survived the battlefield of death, as that person might be the next leader of the younger generation.

There were only a few people that looked frustrated, especially the current heir of the Herriet Family. But even he kept a false smile on his face as he stepped out of the mansion to welcome his cousin.

The Herriet Family Patriarch watched the battleship land, unable to believe it. This was indeed the lost battleship. Then what about the two destroyed battleships? Who did they belong to?

He didn't know what might have happened, but the person who could answer was right inside the battleship. At least that's what he thought, until the door of the battlefield opened.

People stepped out of the battleship in unison, but looking at them, the Herriet Family Patriarch wasn't smiling anymore. Instead, his face had turned ghastly pale.

The people that stepped out of the battleship, weren't the people that belonged to the Herriet Family. Instead, their clothes, their persona and their aura, everything was different. These people were the followers of the Time Lord!

They were carrying a few coffins behind their backs. The old man didn't know who was inside the coffins, but he had a bad feeling about this.

The dark robed men placed the coffins before the old man. The old man could do nothing but respectfully greet them, not even daring to ask them about the people in the coffins.

As no one else stepped out of the coffin, he was already certain that the people inside the coffin were none other than the Herriet Family members that had left on the battleship.

"The son of the Herriet Family tried to backstab our Young Lord. As a punishment, we have killed him and everyone who was with him at the moment. If you have a problem, then speak out now." The leader of the group said coldly.

The Herriet Family patriarch gulped down. He had never heard the Time Lord having a son, but if they were saying that their young lord was betrayed, it meant that it could only be a descendent of the time lord.
