As the banquet was nearing its end, Filch pushed open the doors of the Great Hall. Although he now possessed magic, Filch still chose to remain at Hogwarts as a caretaker.
Hoare looked on in confusion, watching as Filch used a Levitation Charm to bring a massive golden obelisk into the Great Hall, gently setting it down in the open space before the main table.
Dumbledore rose from his seat, descended from the main table, and Filch bowed respectfully before quickly stepping aside.
All eyes were drawn to the object on the stage. It appeared towering and grand, and the students below began whispering, speculating about its contents.
Dumbledore approached the tall golden obelisk, placing a hand gently on its side. He took a deep breath. "Eternal glory awaits the student who can win the Triwizard Tournament," he announced, his voice resonating like a bell throughout the Great Hall.
"However, that student must first complete three tasks—" his gaze swept across the room, "three extremely dangerous and arduous tasks."
