Chapter 992: Chapter 992: Big Commotion, Public Opinion Warfare, Tormenting Fu Yun
Pei Ya’s pupils suddenly widened, and before he could even shout “Careful!”, Fu Yun was kicked flying. The speed was so fast Pei Ya didn’t even see clearly who did it—Fu Yun landed heavily on the floor, rolling a few times before her back slammed against the coffee table, stopping her.
She clutched her stomach, her face drained of color, groaning in pain.
Huo Yaozong was scared stiff, too afraid to even make a sound. He quietly stepped back a few paces, trying to diminish his presence.
Pei Ya’s mouth hung slightly open as he looked toward Li Hanzhou.
Li Hanzhou, unfazed, retracted his foot. Without even sparing a glance at the Fu Yun he’d just sent flying, he turned around and grabbed Qiao Yun’s hand, speaking tenderly: “Kid, are you hurt anywhere?”
Qiao Yun nonchalantly set down the lamp she’d been holding and planning to throw at Fu Yun. She shook her head. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
Pei Ya watched, dumbstruck. These two—no wonder they ended up together; one was even more ruthlessly efficient than the other.
Despite the tense atmosphere, Pei Ya was forcibly fed a mouthful of “dog food.” He couldn’t bear to look at the sticky-sweet pair beside him, so he turned his gaze to Fu Yun, still lying on the floor in pain.
Thinking back to how Fu Yun had attempted to stab Qiao Yun earlier, Pei Ya’s eyes grew dark. He bent down, picked up the knife that had fallen to the floor, and walked over to Fu Yun.
What do you think?
