Hudson and Kenley made their way through the cobbled streets of Constantine, their expressions riddled with hints of nervousness and excitement.

Wherever they went, the residents of the town greeted them with a jovial smile.

The two, as well as the rest of the members of the Brotherhood, had been stationed here for years. As such, they had already taken on several cover jobs and throughly blended in the locals.

Kenley worked as an adventurer, hunting down criminals or magical beasts and monsters for a fee.

Hudson, on the other hand, worked as a librarian. He, along with several members of the clandestine organization, operated the Constantine Public Library.

It didn’t take them long to arrive near the ash tree. On the way, several Acolytes of the Brotherhood informed them of Adam’s location.

So when they arrived, they immediately found the raven-haired young man sitting at an outdoor table of a tea stall.

He had a thoughtful expression on his face while his gaze was directed at the ash tree.

Hudson and Kenley suddenly stopped in their footsteps. They blinked. Then, they exchanged glances and saw the shock in each other’s eyes.
