"Are you very angry?" Ryu asked, the same sinister smile still hanging from his face. "I can say that you can't fathom my own rage."

The clumps of flesh that had once been Verrona's head drizzled out from Ryu's palms, his indifference only fueling Zercius' fury all the more.

"Why don't I make you angrier and do the same thing to your granddaughter? How would that make you feel?"

Ryu took a step forward, and in the far-off distance, hundreds of Martial Gods were shattered beneath the might of his momentum alone.

Power oozed out of Ryu in waves. Even after his breakthrough, he seemed to be only growing more powerful, his power stabilizing more as the pillars of his cultivation weaved into one.
