James Thompson brought Alice Thompson home from kindergarten.
Alice first acted playfully with Julia Land, and when he saw his sister coming downstairs, he excitedly ran in circles around her.

Julia called Alice over.
She reached out and stroked her son’s small bald head. Feeling his mom’s touch, the little bald head broke into a goofy smile.
The little rascal squeezed himself between Julia and James, using his backside to push James aside. “Mommy, stroke my head again. It’ll make me so happy!”
Julia couldn’t help but laugh.
