But once he transformed, he liked zombies even more, because zombies had flesh; nobody wanted to become just a skeletal frame. Even though the flesh was rotting, there always was a chance it could grow back.
Aside from special types of zombies, any that reached Gold Level could recover.
At Legendary Level, they could even regain their vitality. For some zombies, or those who used special means, continuing to propagate their lineage was not impossible, although such offspring were likely to be unusual.
Many who came to be transformed were nobles, unwilling to give up the chance to enjoy what the future might hold.
If one became a skeleton, most luxuries would be out of reach. Whether it was eating, drinking, or anything else, the sensations of a skeleton could hardly compare to those of a zombie.
And in their understanding, zombies were somewhat more fearsome than skeletons.
