Girls in a Matriarchal World Are Just Too Scary

Chapter 3 - The System’s Purpose

Yi Xian Sect was one of the most powerful cultivation sects in the world, a place revered by countless people. Its prestige came from the many ascended immortals it had produced over the centuries, making it the unspoken leader of the righteous path.

After leaving Tian Shui Peak, Su Yan headed toward the sect’s exit. Though he could use a flying sword, Yi Xian Sect had strict rules against flying within its grounds. That meant he had no choice but to walk.

"Why ban flying? Don't they know how much trouble this causes me?" he muttered in frustration.

With his ridiculously good looks and Sacred Body, going out in public was always an ordeal.

At the sect's entrance, two female disciples were handling the daily crowd. Yi Xian Sect's reputation attracted countless hopefuls eager to join, and their job was to maintain order—mainly by turning away those without talent.

“I’ve already told them they don’t have any aptitude, but they still won’t leave. So annoying,” one of the disciples grumbled.

“Be nice,” the other sighed. “Who doesn’t dream of cultivating?”

“It’s because of people like you that they keep clinging to false hope! Do you know how exhausting this is?”

Despite her complaints, the work came with spirit stone rewards, so it wasn’t all bad. Just as she was about to continue ranting, her eyes widened in shock.

The other disciple noticed her reaction. “What’s wrong?”

The first disciple blushed and pointed. “It’s Junior Brother Su Yan! He’s coming this way!”

At those words, the nearby female disciples all turned to look.

A figure in cyan robes emerged from the misty stone steps. His dark, silky hair swayed slightly as he walked, his sharp features perfectly sculpted, his lips soft and rosy. His every movement exuded an effortless grace, his faint smile like the first breeze of spring.

Even though Su Yan wasn’t doing anything special, the crowd around him burst into excited whispers.

“Ah! It’s Tian Shui Peak’s Little Junior Brother!”

“Wow, he’s even more stunning in person! Look at that face! That waist! Those legs!”

“I heard he has a Sacred Body, but I didn’t believe it before. Now? Look at his skin! It’s literally glowing! He’s not just handsome—he’s divine!”

“They say marrying a man with a Sacred Body can cut centuries off your cultivation struggles. If only I could be the lucky one…”

“Keep dreaming! Someone like him wouldn’t even look at you!”

“Hey, I can dream, can’t I?”

“Who knows? Maybe he’ll pick someone completely unexpected.”

Su Yan heard every word. Outwardly, he kept his usual calm smile, but inside, he was screaming.

Every time he walked through the sect, it was the same. Women stared at him like he was some kind of rare treasure, their eyes filled with hunger.

“…I didn’t know women could be this lustful,” he thought, touching his face.

He knew the real reason behind their obsession. In this world, power was everything, and his beauty alone was enough to attract attention. But when combined with the fact that his Sacred Body could boost cultivation, he became an irresistible prize.

For many female cultivators, men were seen as a burden—weak, unnecessary distractions. But Su Yan? He was the exception. He wasn’t just good-looking; he was a shortcut to power.

“This should’ve been a secret! Who spread this information? When I find out, they’re dead meat!”

These rumors had made his life a nightmare.

Inside the sect, it wasn’t too bad. His senior and junior sisters competed fairly for his favor. Outside the sect? That was a different story.

A Pure Yang Sacred Body?

“Why don’t you come over here, Junior Brother? Let’s test your… potential.”

Hearing those words once had been enough to scar him for life.

He still remembered when thieves tried sneaking into the sect just to kidnap him. If not for his senior sisters threatening to hunt down anyone who dared touch him, he would’ve been in serious trouble.

“Am I really just living off women’s protection?”

The original Su Yan had accepted this lifestyle, but he wanted out.

With the system, he no longer had to play along. He would grow stronger—strong enough that no one would dare treat him like a prize ever again.

Just then, a graceful figure descended from the sky.

A woman with a frosty demeanor landed lightly, her white jade sword gleaming at her side. Her dark hair was tied back neatly, and her sharp eyes locked onto Su Yan.

Seeing him there, a flicker of surprise crossed her beautiful eyes. “Junior Brother Su Yan, not lounging in the sect—what brings you out here?”

Su Yan replied coolly, “I’m heading down the mountain on Master’s orders.”

Qin Yimeng nodded. “I see. I thought you’d run out of sect sisters to flirt with and had a fling waiting outside.”

Su Yan frowned. "Senior Sister Qin, what do you mean by that?"

Qin Yimeng, a disciple from Tian Zhu Peak, folded her arms. "I thought you'd already charmed everyone in the sect and decided to expand your territory outside."

Su Yan was even more confused. "Why would you think that?"

Qin Yimeng's face darkened. At first, she had been drawn to his pure and noble aura, thinking he was different. But then she realized the truth—he was nothing but a shameless flirt!

"Stop pretending," she scoffed. "You act innocent, but in reality, you're leading all your senior and junior sisters on, making each of them think they have a chance with you. You're a classic 'green tea' man."

Her gaze grew colder. They say the prettier the man, the bigger the liar—and here was living proof.

Su Yan listened, head full of question marks. Green tea? That was the original host, right?

So “he” had shown his colors this early? That caught him off guard.
