Gender Swap: The Introvert’s Broadcast

Chapter 197

Though it’s technically the first floor, we eat in the yard.
We could eat inside the pension, but if we did, the place would get greasy.
It’s much better to eat outside in the yard.

‘I need to sleep on the first floor, though.’

Since there aren’t many spare beds, it’s better to keep the first floor clean.

Screech—

I opened the closed door and began pulling tables from around the place, connecting them together.

“Everyone, could you help me out? As you can see, my arm’s like this.”

I had no choice.
My arm hurt, after all.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: The arm jokes are annoying, lol]
[The arm jokes are kinda cringey...]
“Isn’t it a head injury, you crazy idiot? lol”
“If your head hurts, it makes sense that your arm is also sore, lol.”
[Hwan-hee: It’s tough either way]
[So funny, lol]

Despite the noise in the chat, the others around me began helping.

“Let us, we’ll do it.”
“Oh, thanks.”

It was nice to see people helping out because I was hurt.
If it had been before, Harin wouldn’t have been the one helping.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: They’re actually helping, lol]
[Why are they helping, damn]
“Da-ma should just do it himself.”
[Fact) Da-ma is probably hurting from his head, if he pushes himself, he might collapse.]
[Du-gong is getting sympathy, lol...]
[Du-pyung, damn.]
[Hwan-hee: How much are we eating, though?]

“I didn’t eat much earlier, so it’s fine. And for now, the main event is the drinks.”

Right now, drinks were the main focus.
Though I planned to prepare enough food in case anyone was still hungry.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: Got it]
[What drinks did you bring?]
[Hwan-hee: Sake is a bit much...]
[?]
[Sake, you idiot, lol]
[Thought you’d be smarter, lol]
[Sake is good, haha]
[Big sake, haha]
[What’s this nonsense...]

Of course, it wasn’t sake.
Normally, I’d go for sake, but since I was at the pension, I bought some expensive whiskey instead.

‘...I’m not sure if it’ll be enough, though.’

I wasn’t sure if it would be enough.
I brought three bottles of whiskey, but there were a lot of people here.
I was even thinking about heading to the nearby mart to buy more sake when—

“Da-ma, let’s drink this together. I brought it this time.”

Pine took out a bottle of whiskey from a fancy-looking bag.

“Wait, this...?”
“Yeah, that’s the one.”

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: Damn]
[This is here, wow]
[Valentine’s 30-year-old whiskey, that’s legit]
[Wow, this is crazy]
[This looks so good, damn]
[Please, just one sip, please, one sip, please, one sip, please…]

It was a whiskey so famous that I knew its name.
And it was 30 years old.

“Wow, I’ve never seen this in person.”
“Hmmm, I was saving it, but since everyone’s here today, I thought I’d bring it out.”

“Oh...”

Pine was clearly older, and it showed in how generous he was with things like this.
He was married too.

“So, should I save what I brought for later? I think we should finish this first.”
“Yeah, that’s best. Mixing different drinks isn’t a good idea.”

I haven’t drunk much whiskey before, but I knew that mixing different drinks isn’t great.
It ruins the taste, I guess.

“Then, I’ll get the glasses and ice ready. We’ll need them if we’re all going to drink together.”

“Ah, okay.”

[But wow, this is great, haha]
[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: They brought out this expensive stuff, wow]
[If not today, you’d never get to drink this]
[For real]
[On a regular day, you wouldn’t drink something like this]

I set the camera in a corner and started getting ice and glasses.
The pension was so nice that there were ice dispensers and ice boxes, so it was easy to transport.

“Hmmm... this should be enough.”

There were a lot of people, so the ice felt a bit heavy, but I took it outside to the yard.

“Leave it there, over there.”

“Hey, stop just giving directions and help!”

“Oh, I’m a strategist, I’m no good with manual labor.”

“What...”

I saw everyone was still helping out.
Since there were so many people, it looked like we were still setting everything up.

Screech—

I placed the ice box a little farther from the grill and started setting it up.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: Wow, they’re really setting it up properly, haha]
[So much meat left, lol]
[Looks delicious]
[Please, just one bite]
[Hwan-hee: Watching everyone prepare meat and drinks makes me jealous...]
[The stream’s already so much fun, lol]
[Drunk Da-ma <<< guaranteed fun]

I checked the chat while working and noticed that everyone seemed to be waiting for me to get drunk.

“Eh, I’m not drunk. I won’t get drunk off just this.”

It was a simple fact.
If I drank more, sure, but I wasn’t going to drink enough whiskey to get drunk.
And even if I did, I was surrounded by people who’d take care of me.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: Hmm]
[Let’s see, haha]
[Last time you got drunk, remember?]
[Can’t wait to see you wasted, haha]
[Let’s go, let’s go]
[Completely ignoring the whiskey, haha]
[Whiskey’s so strong, though, we’ll see]

The viewers were still commenting, but I didn’t need to worry about it.
I wasn’t going to get drunk.

‘I’m not bad at controlling myself.’

I thought about it while moving around.

“Alright, I think everything’s ready, let’s sit down.”

Pine wrapped up the situation.
He had been walking around making sure everything was set up, and it seemed like he was checking to see if everything was perfect.

At Pine’s signal, we sat down.
Mangming on my left, Harin on my right.
It was good that I had familiar faces next to me.
If they weren’t people I knew well, I’d be a little worried.

‘Thank goodness.’

With that thought, I finally started the broadcast.
Until now, it had just been the preparation.

“Okay, then, I’ll grill the meat.”

Rize stood up and said that.

“Alright, go ahead.”
“This is something the youngest should do.”

No one else got up.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: Hahahahaha]
[What the hell, haha]
[The youngest should be the one doing this]
[This is hilarious]
[What is going on, haha]
[Great Rize]
[Hwan-hee: Someone should offer to help, lol]

“Let’s do it together, I’m not that hungry yet.”

Grilling the meat together didn’t seem bad.
I wasn’t that hungry anyway.

“Ah, it’s fine. I like grilling the meat.”
“I’m not fine, so let’s grill it together. I need to move my hands to get hungry.”

“Yeah, I guess.”

I kind of wanted to help Rize, but since I wasn’t that hungry, I also wanted to just get a little bit of room in my stomach.

‘Drinking whiskey on a full stomach isn’t ideal.’

Of course, whiskey doesn’t fill you up, but it’s better not to be too full.

[Wow]
[They’re actually helping, haha]
[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: Big Da-ma]
[As expected, Du-gong is helping the youngest]
[ㅇㅇ donated 10,000 won!]
–What are the others doing? Haha, why is it the youngest and a guy grilling the meat, lol

If you just hear the donation message, people might misunderstand.
But—

“Hmm, this kimchi’s good.”

The others didn’t hear it.
Or rather, they pretended not to hear it.

[🗡️All-powerful Cthulhu: What the hell, haha]
[Everyone’s ignoring the grill, this is so funny, lol]
[So funny, haha]
[This is ridiculous]
[Hwan-hee: This is the average Twitch viewer, haha]
[The average is really low... haha]

I thought it was a bit ridiculous as I grilled the meat.

“Sit down, I’ll do it.”

Harin stood up.

“I’m really fine.”
“Hmm... doesn’t seem like it.”
“I’m really fine.”
“Even if you are, let’s do it together. I wanted to get up too.”

“Well, then... let’s do it together.”

That’s how, unintentionally, the three of us ended up grilling the meat.

“I’ll join in too.”

Mangming stood up.

At that point, I couldn’t help but make a comment.

“What’s with there being more people grilling than eating?”
