Chapter 5: The Miracle
Chapter 5: The Miracle
I see it—a golden board, an oracle. I can tell. She chose me; Theyra chose me. The light coats me, its warmth sweeping over my soul.
I look around at the room, some are at awe on appearance of the golden light, some are questioning it. Some gasp, covering their mouths in shock, while others fall to their knees, praising the divine light.
From afar, I see Father Joe, running towards me. I did it, Father—my prayers have been answered.
When he reaches me, he embraces me tightly. His hands tremble—he’s worried. But I am fine now, Father. If anything, I am happy. Because now, I can save my brother.
Right!! Ethan.
I rush out of the crowd that starts to overwhelm me and I hurry to Ethan.
When I arrived at the room where Ethan was getting treated. He is holding on to his very life, and none of the priests are helping him. They are sitting, talking and enjoying themselves while my brother is suffering. My anger reaches to peak, but not now. I have to save Ethan first.
I dash toward Ethan. When he sees me, he smiles at me, as if he is saying goodbye for the last time. Don’t worry, Ethan, you are going to be fine.
Priests are yelling at me, saying that this is where the patient resides and I have entered without permission. How ironic, that you dare to call yourself a priest, who follows the teaching of Theyra the goddess of light and life, with that behaviour.
I ignore them and hold Ethan’s hand. A warmth, sacred and divine light release from it as I pray for him to get better. A warmth build up from my inside, emitting a light that will heal all wounds. My body feel light—no, weightless. I can feel it, something greater is taking over me. The divine light erupt from my body, forming six wings, wings of the archangel, the messager of Heaven.
It was calm, like the breeze before the storm. The priests’ yelling stopped, and a hush fell over the room.

The light said something, but I couldn’t pay any attention. The priests were in shock, but I didn’t care. The Pope himself came to the room, but I didn’t notice. All I care about right now is for Ethan to get better.
The Pope take a tremblingn step forward. “O’Great Theyra.” he muttered, “Y-Your Holiness… Theyra… She has truly sent her messenger,” the Pope whispers, his voice breaking. His hands tremble as he falls to his kneest. Following the pope, the priests and priestess follow him. Some are shaking in admiration and some are trembling in fear.
A surge of radiant energy wrapped around Ethan like a protective cocoon, shimmering as the curse burned away. His frail body, once struggling for breath, now glowed with renewed life. His breathing becomes stable, and his facial colour returns.
Sometimes later, he wakes up. He is okay, no more curses or illness. I’m overjoyed, tear pour out from my eyes.
Ethan, shock by my sudden crying, concerned. “Are you okay sister?.” he ask me, yet I can’t answer, “Are they bullied you again” he speak, looking a few priest and priestess in training.
“No, they aren’t and they won’t in the future.”, I am with joyful tone, and tear. I embrace him, he does not feel cold, he feel warm . He’s alive. My little brother is alive.
O’Theyra, thank you. Thank you for your blessing. This humble servant will follow your will and do your bidding.

Else where…
“Saintess appears!” Alice inform me while she massage my back.
I spoke in a slightly surprised tone.
My bones crack, sending waves of pleasure through my body. Bubbles pop and fatigues melts away. I can feel my body, and my nerves are getting better.
“Yes, young master Daniel.”
“Her name is Eri, and it was said that she is chosen by the Goddess of Light and Life, Theyra, herself”
Theyra, huh?? I believe it. I, myself, is see this blue board, creation of god. I guess she is an another NPC in this world script.
Well, I can think about it later. I got myself the location of the culprit who had poisoned me, thanks to Alice. My eyes are set on the paper that contains very detailed information about my poisoning. I can’t wait, my finger twitched in anticipation—soon, those fools will reget what they’ve done. Also, I want to put those ‘skills’ to the test.
Also, why is Alice’s touch so stimulating?
What do you think?
