Chapter 80 - 80 80 Flag Knife

80: 80 Flag Knife 80: 80 Flag Knife The horse’s hooves were light and quick as they clattered through the streets and alleys.

Ding Zhigang’s residence was actually not far from the Government Office, merely the distance of three streets.

However, Fang Zhixing couldn’t visit someone empty-handed, naturally.

What’s more, he had a request to make of Ding Zhigang.

“Hmm, first, to the street market to buy some gifts,” he thought.

Fang Zhixing rode his tall steed, clippity-clop, making quite the impression through the town.

Though he had no intention to show off, he inevitably exuded a vibrant and spirited demeanor.

Xigou stuck out his tongue, happily scampering along behind.

Somehow, just running like this brought him sheer joy.

Perhaps…

A dog’s happiness is that simple.

Shortly thereafter, they crossed a stone bridge together and entered a bustling street market.

From a glance, shops and restaurants abounded, and the streets were teeming with people.

The air was filled with the delicious aroma of food.

“Fang Zhixing, there’s tasty food!”

Xigou immediately perked up, drool flowing out instantaneously.

Fang Zhixing was at a loss for words and gave Xigou a sidelong glance.

The dog’s belly was still visibly swollen from overeating.

Yet, the moment Xigou caught the scent of something delicious, he lost all control.

Soon enough, Xigou was wagging his tail in front of a meat pie stall, unable to move an inch.

“In your past life, the sight of a beauty would have you rooted to the spot.

You’ve improved this life, having given up on lust!” Fang Zhixing taunted with a cluck of his tongue.

Regaining his senses, Xigou replied with an awkward laugh, “You know nothing; this is called ‘The beauty of food and love must never be betrayed.'”

Fang Zhixing ignored him and continued to ride forward on his horse.

“Slurp~”

Xigou licked his tongue, hesitated for a moment, but in the end, his remaining rationality triumphed over his voracious appetite.

“What’s your hurry; wait for me!”

Xigou weaved through the crowd and quickly caught up.

Fang Zhixing shopped along the street, bought some good-looking items, and then headed back.

“Fang Zhixing, why don’t you buy me a meat pie to try?”

On the way back, Xigou couldn’t control himself and once again stopped at that same stall.

“Giddy up~”

Fang Zhixing, as if he heard nothing, spurred his horse to move faster.

Suddenly!

From the second floor of the tea house on the right side of the street, a brawny figure suddenly leapt down.

Xigou’s pupils contracted.

The man’s muscles were bulging as if he was an enraged giant bear.

His right arm was raised high, the biceps massive, and his right hand transformed into a clawed paw that soared towards Fang Zhixing, aiming at the blind spot above and behind him.

“Watch out!” Xigou exclaimed in alarm, immediately sending out a warning through voice transmission.

Almost simultaneously!

“Cur, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time, die!”

A harsh cry spread, the gruff voice seething with indescribable hatred.

Fang Zhixing swiftly turned his head, catching sight of a shadow from above and behind his head descending upon him, and the wind roaring.

Without thinking, he lifted his body, jumped up, landed on the saddle, and with a boost from his legs…

“Burst Skill · Grass Flying.”

Fang Zhixing moved with ease, shooting upward, while turning around, he finally saw his assailant clearly.

The attacker was clad in a big red dress, masked, with an extraordinarily robust physique, a back like a tiger and a waist like a bear, and a pronounced swollen chest.

It was a woman!

An unusually herculean woman!

Her move was undoubtedly the Bear Pounce Hand!

The two of them, one diving down and the other shooting up, passed by each other in mid-air.

The hulking masked woman missed her target, confusion filling her eyes, seemingly not expecting Fang Zhixing’s Qinggong to be so exquisite, rendering her ambush ineffective.

In the next instant, she threw a handful of powder that burst open and spread quickly.

“Not the damn Lime Powder again!” Fang Zhixing exclaimed, exasperated.

Taking advantage of the spreading powder, the brawny masked woman turned and ran, plowing through the crowd to make her escape.

Fang Zhixing wanted to give chase.

However, the Lime Powder caused a commotion among the pedestrians.

People started running in panic, pushing and shoving against each other, and everything became a chaotic mess.

Fang Zhixing’s sight was obscured by the Lime Powder, and with the sudden pandemonium in the crowd, he lost sight of the muscular masked woman in the blink of an eye.

“Xigou, go after her!” Fang Zhixing instructed through his voice transmission.

Yet, Xigou was in tears, crying out, “Go after her yourself; the Lime Powder got in my eyes, it burns, help me quick!”

Fang Zhixing’s face twitched.

Xigou had hurried over just now, wanting to help Fang Zhixing.

Unfortunately, he was directly hit by the exploding Lime Powder.

“Oh dear~”

Fang Zhixing first took hold of the startled white horse, then picked up Xigou and rushed him to a snack stall.

“Boss, can I borrow some oil?”

Fang Zhixing dipped his clothes in some cooking oil and began to clean Xigou’s eyes, wiping away the Lime Powder.

Xigou heaved a sigh of relief and complained, “Man, that was unbearable, I almost went blind.”

Fang Zhixing asked, “Did you manage to remember the woman’s scent?”

Xigou looked bewildered, “What, that was a woman?!”

Fang Zhixing nodded, “She must be an accomplice of the rebel pirate, Guo Dingshan.”

Embarrassed, Xigou replied, “My nose got clogged with Lime Powder, I didn’t catch her scent.”

Fang Zhixing pursed his lips, his expression slightly grim, gritting his teeth he said, “Sigh, as I thought, I’ve been marked, Guo Dingshan’s accomplice has been waiting for a chance to seek revenge on me.”

Xigou halted his breath momentarily, clicking his tongue, “Damn it, how did the pirates know we were going out today…”

“Wait a minute!”

Xigou suddenly shivered, remembering that Fang Zhixing had mentioned there was a spy inside the Government Office!

Fang Zhixing had clearly realized this too and said coldly with a smirk, “It seems that the spy can track my movements at any time and any place.”
