Chapter 31 - 31 31 Iron Palm
31: 31 Iron Palm 31: 31 Iron Palm Next was the basic moves.
Fang Zhixing followed the example and used the same method to memorize them, sketching out stick figures on the ground and performing a series of connected movements.
Unfortunately, Cheng Tianen’s body was too frail, and he could only demonstrate the moves once a day for Fang Zhixing to observe.
Even though Fang Zhixing had a good memory, it took him five days to sketch out every movement.
Afterward, he practiced by comparison.
In the beginning, his movements were extremely stiff, stopping and starting intermittently.
He was playing a lute without a bridge, imitating the cat after the tiger.
Even some of the more difficult moves, like somersaults, turned into tumbling head over heels.
Fortunately, he was already a martial artist at the Power Transmission Realm, with an intricate control of his own strength, which allowed him to make quick adjustments and, by learning one thing to know ten, he persevered, gradually mastering the various difficult maneuvers.
Things like somersaults only took two or three days of practice before he could easily do lateral flips, aerial somersaults, one-handed flips, forward rolls, and backward rolls.
“No, no, that move is lacking a bit of meaning,”
Cheng Tianen wasn’t just taking the money for nothing; he pointed out errors and corrected them from the sidelines, filling Fang Zhixing’s performance with detail and making it more standard.
Before he knew it, ten days had passed.
That afternoon, after lunch, Fang Zhixing walked into the courtyard, took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and focused entirely.
In his mind, he simulated a set of moves.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes, and his body danced along, executing a series of coherent moves, flowing like clouds and water, exuberant and unrestrained!
It was clear to see a fist-sized muscle bulge popping up on his body, roving all over like a yo-yo.

[Conditions for reaching perfection at the first layer of the Iron Mountain Skill are met.
Would you like to level up?]
“Phew~”
Fang Zhixing took a long breath and smiled at the corners of his mouth.
Hard work pays off, and he had done it!
“Hmm, not bad at all,”
Watching him, Cheng Tianen nodded in approval.
“According to the standards of the ‘Iron Mountain Skill,’ you should be at the early stage of the Power Transmission Realm by now.
If you keep practicing diligently, your strength will gradually increase, advancing to the mid stage, late stage, until perfection,”
he instructed.
“However, you’re already at the Power Transmission Realm, and judging by the state of Unity of Man and Blade you’ve displayed, you’re at the stage of perfection in the realm.
So, it’s likely you will skip the intermediate steps, advancing quickly to the first layer’s perfection.”
At this point, he raised both hands to indicate, “When cultivating to the stage of perfection, remember to polish your techniques thoroughly.
You may have a chance to awaken a Burst Skill.”
Hearing this, Fang Zhixing expressed his surprise, “You mean, not everyone has a Burst Skill?”
“Of course!”
Cheng Tianen raised his voice a bit, “Although everyone can practice martial arts, there is a certain difference in the depth of comprehension and proficiency that each person has with martial arts.
The occurrence of Burst Skills has very high and stringent requirements.
Only those who have cultivated their martial arts to the utmost limit have a chance to obtain a Burst Skill.”
With his right hand raised and a reminiscent look in his eyes, he slowly said, “Back in the day, I painstakingly practiced the first layer of the ‘Iron Mountain Skill’ for more than five years without rest for a day, and that’s how I awakened the Burst Skill: Iron Palm.
With a pair of palms comparable to swords, I participated in the ‘Qinghe Martial Arts Tournament,’ achieving seventh place, and thus earned the title ‘Iron Palm Cheng Tianen.'”
Fang Zhixing listened with wonder.
Suddenly, he noticed something odd and asked, “Do you mean to say that the Iron Palm is unique to you, and others can’t learn it?”
“That’s not necessarily the case.”
Cheng Tianen smiled, a smile filled with past pride.
He explained, “Different people practicing the same martial arts, even if everyone perfects that martial art and awakens a Burst Skill, the Burst Skills may not necessarily be the same, as they vary from person to person.”
He swung his right hand, “The Iron Palm I developed could possibly be mastered by others as well; the outcome might be exactly the same, or slightly similar with minor differences.
However, it’s more likely that others will awaken an entirely different Burst Skill.
To my knowledge, there have been over a hundred different types of Burst Skills awakened by those who have brought the first layer of the ‘Iron Mountain Skill’ to its extreme, such as Iron Palm, Iron Fist, Iron Finger, Iron Leg and so on.”
Fang Zhixing understood; well, it turned out that Burst Skills also had drop rates, like opening blind boxes.
At that thought, he could hardly wait and turned to go back to his room to rest.
Entering the room.
When Fang Zhixing looked up, he saw Xigou lying on the bed, listless and idle.
“What’s the matter, are you feeling depressed?” Fang Zhixing mocked.
Xigou didn’t even lift his eyelids, unwilling to pay Fang Zhixing any attention.
Now, Fang Zhixing had found the right path and, after delving into the world of martial arts, he was going to become stronger and stronger until he gradually reached the peak of his life.
And what about him?
What was the point of his effort, to reach the pinnacle of a dog’s life?
Damn it!
The more Xigou thought about it, the angrier he became, almost wishing he could just bash his head in and be done with it.
“Time to improve!”
Fang Zhixing sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and with a thought,
he instantly entered a profound and mysterious state, as if dreaming.
In the dream, he diligently practiced the “Iron Mountain Skill” First Layer, and his understanding and perception of the martial art deepened, gradually reaching perfection.
Time was indeterminate; it could have been months or even years, but his body began to change day by day.
His muscles became more toned, some parts bulging while others slimmed down a bit.
At the same time, his bones also grew thicker and stronger.
[Iron Mountain Skill First Layer: Perfection]
[Burst Skill: Iron Mountain Lean (Lv1)]
“Oh, so it’s this burst skill,” Fang Zhixing’s eyes lit up with realization.
Iron Mountain Lean, the close body lean.
As you get close to someone’s body, suddenly stomp your foot to create an instantaneous acceleration, and at the same time use your elbow or shoulder to violently collide with the opponent—the strategy of hard striking and breaking through!
“Not bad, not bad at all, pretty sharp!” Fang Zhixing glanced at Xigou and purposely sighed.
Xigou remained indifferent.
Fang Zhixing tsks, “I’ve improved once again, what about you?”
Xigou glanced at his status panel, no change whatsoever, and he was even more disheartened.
“Fang Zhixing, what’s the point of me living anymore?” Xigou lay on his back, staring blankly at the ceiling, and asked.
Fang Zhixing, reveling in another’s misfortune, disdainfully said, “If you don’t want to live, go ahead and die; nobody in this world will miss you.”
Having heard this, Xigou became irate, got up and barked, “What are you so proud of?
Do you really think you’ve got the script of a wish-fulfillment protagonist or something?”
Fang Zhixing sneered, “Are you envious, or jealous?”
Xigou bared his teeth, “I’m furious!
I wish I could bite you to death!”
Fang Zhixing’s face darkened as he said ominously, “If you don’t agree, try me.”
Enraged, Xigou charged out in a fury, leapt up, and pounced at Fang Zhixing, his fangs fully exposed.
“Awakening Burst Skill: Iron Mountain Lean!”
Fang Zhixing’s figure flickered, he swiftly moved and left a trail of afterimage behind, raising his elbow to meet the attack head-on.
Xigou’s vision blurred as Fang Zhixing’s figure filled his view.
Bang!
Teeth shattered and flew out, facial bones fractured and turned to dust.
Xigou’s neck twisted violently, snapping, his body contorted and deformed, then with a swoosh, he was flung against the wall, crashing down to the floor, leaving behind a pool of blood.
Dead!
What do you think?
