From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

Liang Feng and Shao Xue Cong were startled with what they heard.

They were so ready to help the villagers fend off the robbers and even take revenge for them.

Never did they expect to be questioned by those whom they wanted to help.

They wanted to refute the villagers, but they remembered what Lin Fan had told them earlier.

So, they kept calm and just kept quiet.

Lin Xuan Qi was all smiles, got off his horse and greeted the villagers.

He walked over to the burning house that the lady wanted to get back into.

He bent down and picked up a huge pillar that had fallen and was blocking the entrance to the house.

From the size of the pillar, it would take at least ten men to handle it.

"You wanted to enter your house?" Lin Xuan Qi with his signature smile glanced at the lady and said.

The lady saw the raging fire within and shook her head.

Thud.

Lin Xuan Qi let go of the huge pillar and a loud thud could be heard.

The villagers that were in doubt kept quiet and were in awe at Lin Xuan Qi's display of strength.

Lin Fan nodded approvingly at Lin Xuan Qi's quick thinking.

He was also glad that Liang Feng and Shao Xue Cong were able to keep their cool.

These three were indeed worthy of being his juniors.

"Who's the village head and please brief us on where the robbers are." Lin Fan finally spoke.

His calm demeanor and confidence let the villagers know who the leader among these four young men and woman was.

The old man earlier stepped up and said, "I'm the village head, Sheng. Please follow me."

Lin Fan got off the horseback and the others followed suit.

Old Sheng brought them to a makeshift wooden hut, and he invited them to sit down.

"The robbers have burnt our fields, stole our livestock, and now they set flames upon our houses to threaten us to pay them silver in return for peace."

Old Sheng sighed and lowered his head.

The other villagers who had gathered around the makeshift wooden hut did the same.

"How long have they been gone after setting the fire?" Lin Fan asked.

"Not too long before you came, maybe an incense time." Old Sheng said.

"How many men do they have?" Lin Fan continued asking, as he wanted to confirm the information he had.

"There were around twenty of them. They went in that direction," Old Sheng replied and pointed at a distant mountain with a path leading to it.

Lin Fan nodded and glanced over at the new disciples.

"Are you ready for action? We can pursue the robbers from behind, at the time they least expect." Lin Fan asked.

Liang Feng, Shao Xue Cong and Lin Xuan Qi clenched their fists and nodded.

"Then let's get going." Lin Fan stood up and got on his horse again.

The new disciples followed, and they galloped off on the path that Old Sheng pointed at earlier.

It didn't take long for them to get close to the robbers.

The robbers were in a celebratory mood as they had looted food and valuables from the village.

Each of them had a sack full of their loot on their back.

"I can't wait to have a good meal when we get back."

"Good meal? With your cooking, I doubt so, in fact I think it's a waste of the food."

"What do you mean it's a waste!"

The robbers were bantering when suddenly the leader amongst them held up his hand and stopped.

The leader was a middle-aged man and a cultivator at Foundation Establishment Level, so his hearing was much better than the rest.

And he was the reason these robbers had the confidence to blatantly rob the neighboring villages.

"There's someone behind! Get ready for battle!" The leader shouted and drew out his knife.

The other robbers turned around and drew out their weapons from their ragged belts.

Horses neighed and galloped towards them the next moment.

Thud.

The horses kicked at some of the robbers and the robbers fell to the ground.

"Die!"

With their weapons in their hands, they tried to stop the horses.

Liang Feng, Shao Xue Cong and Lin Xuan Qi jumped off their horses and faced the robbers on the ground.

Lin Fan on his horse stood and observed from the back.

"That girl looks fine. Let's bring her back for some entertainment."

The robbers grinned at Shao Xue Cong and the thoughts of things they would do to her made them excited.

Shao Xue Cong felt rage at what she heard.

Without hesitation, she lunged at the man who spoke and punched at his face.

The man tried to lift his arm and slash at Shao Xue Cong but he wasn't fast enough.

Splatter.

Shao Xue Cong's punch landed on his face and his face was now a mangled mass of flesh and blood.

This shocked the other robbers, and they tried to slash at Shao Xue Cong from the side.

Liang Feng quickly lunged at those men coming at her from the right and Lin Xuan Qi did the same with the men from the left.

Drip.

Blood dripped all over the place as the robbers suffered heavy injuries from Liang Feng and Lin Xuan Qi.

More robbers joined in the fray with their weapons and slashed at the three of them.

Liang Feng dodged a knife coming at him and he punched at the robber's chest.

Crack.

The punch fractured the robber's ribcage, and it sent the robber hurling into the air.

Another robber came at Liang Feng with a horizontal slash.

And this time, Liang Feng dodged by squatting down and swept the robber off the ground with his leg.

Lin Xuan Qi on the other side, gave out punches at the robbers coming at him fearlessly.

His experience hunting made him aware that any hesitation would mean your demise in life and death situations like this.

Splatter.

Two men flew away after Lin Xuan Qi's punch landed on their heads and sent them tumbling across the ground.

"Useless fools! Let me handle them." The leader of the robbers lunged at Lin Xuan Qi and gave him a frontal kick.
