Fantasy Realm – Infinite Worlds Adventure

A group of 18 players, one native wizard, and a single small spider gather on the meadow close to the player houses.

Jewel stabs her strengthened, glowing, spear-like spider legs into a tree, slowly shaving off major parts of it. Her thrusts are so fast that they’re barely recognizable, and it takes only a few seconds for the average-sized tree to collapse.

“You know, it’s kinda distracting if your pet is doing some logging while we’re trying to have a serious discussion here,” Alicia complains.

“Sorry about that. I’ll tell her to stop. But hey, she’ll use her legs to do that to our enemies as well,” Alex says, slightly embarrassed as he quickly stands up, walks to Jewel, and tells her to stop.

Jewel, you’re kinda distracting us. Can you take a small break?

With Jewel on his head, Alex heads back to the group.

“Are you sure you’ll be fine, Harry? We’ll do our best to protect you, but it’ll be a huge risk for you regardless,” Tereza warns Harry.

“Dumbledore will do nothing, even if we tell him. I trust you! You’ve been honest with me, and I’ve trained so hard in the last few months! Let’s finish this. We’ll be able to get rid of that damn rat and also those vile Death Eaters who managed to use money and deception to avoid any kind of punishment! That rat will pay for what he did to my parents!” Harry says, looking quite determined, anger visible on his face.

This feels wrong. We told him the truth, and now Harry wants revenge. This isn’t supposed to be the case—Harry isn’t supposed to be a vengeful character. We’ve changed his personality.

Alex stares at Rishi but also thinks about his own behavior.

It’s not just Rishi… we all essentially taught him not to take shit and to be proactive in protecting himself and those he loves.

“The boy is smart. He knows what needs to be done,” Ben says with a surprised but satisfied expression.

“It’s good to have you on board, Harry. We’ll take revenge and protect you—I promise,” Alicia promises.

“With me around, you don’t have to worry!” Stefanie adds, looking smug.

Harry looks a bit embarrassed but nods at the other players, glancing at Alex from time to time, clearly feeling awkward.

“It’s time for a strategy. I propose the following…” Rishi begins to explain, his friendly, calm face taking on the smallest hint of malice and cruelty.

“It’s my time to shine for once, huh? They won’t even know what hit them, hehe,” Tereza says with a wicked expression.

“I guess that leaves us with a few more months to enjoy the castle, right? Let’s do our best to prepare!” Stefanie says with a nervous smile.

As the group is about to split and leave, Alicia gently grabs Alex’s shoulder, displaying a sickly sweet smile and saying in an even sweeter voice, “I’ll expect you to deliver the food items very soon.”

Alex notices Ben and Stefanie also staring at him with a greedy smile on their faces.

A week later, the group sits at the table in their small house. Menchi exits the kitchen with a huge grin.

“First of all, I managed to turn the various ingredients and meats into Green-quality items. You can use those to repay your ‘debt,’ Alex. This way, we also manage to conceal the fact that it was us who killed the dragon,” Menchi states.

“Nice!” Alex comments with a smile.

“That’s fairly impressive. So, I guess the dishes with the dragon meat are for us, then?”

“Hehe, take a look,” she says with a smug smile and presents two kinds of different dishes, along with a potion.

Alex inspects the dishes in front of him. He sees three different kinds of items recognized by the system:

Effect: Heals 50 HP over 1 minute with an additional 50 HP over 10 minutes. Immediately heals 50 HP and cures minor to medium wounds.

Note: An exceptional dish, consisting of skewers with dragon meat, perfectly grilled, involving a masterful use of Nen and an improved Wiggenweld Potion.

Note: This dish is the result of excellent preparation and synthesis, achieving results similar to actual medicine.

Effect: Instantly heals 50 HP and minor to medium wounds. Slightly reduces the effectiveness of similar healing items.

“Nice potion. Let’s call it [Wiggenweld Potion V2],” Alex says with a smile, comparing it to the [Large Healing Potion] he gave to Menchi earlier.

Effect: Instantly heals 50 HP and minor to medium wounds. Can only be drunk once every 12 hours. May reduce the effectiveness of similar healing items.

Note: Basic healing item.

“Same effect, but it looks like you can use it more often, and it only slightly reduces the effect of other healing potions. It’s an improvement!” Alex notes.

“Thank you, Menchi! I’ll get rid of my [Infused Superior Dish (Kulu-Ya-Ku Hamburg Steak)], along with your other dishes, then. These dragon skewers are insane. You really outdid yourself,” Alex says, looking at the sheer amount of dishes.

“Take our dishes as well,” Rishi says with a dry tone.

“Fine… give me your dishes. You can each have a few of these new dragon dishes and potions,” Alex says, not intending to keep them all for himself.

“No need, Alex. I’ve already prepared their share separately. These are all for you,” Menchi says, touching Alex’s shoulders gently.

“So much?! 30 dishes and 10 potions? That’s… at least 200,000 FC!” Alex notes with shock.

Well, I constantly gave her herbs and other things, so I guess I invested at least 50,000 FC into her just this mission, but still… this is just insane! My plan is working—Menchi is proving to be a goldmine!

Menchi proudly rubs her nose and says, “There’s one more dish… it’s the heart!”

[Mythical Dish: (Smoked Dragon Heart)]

Requirements: PHY - 15

Effect: Permanently increases PHY by 1.

Note: A perfectly seasoned smoked dragon heart. Due to insufficient preparation methods, this dish barely maintains the vitality of the dragon heart but requires a large amount of vitality to be absorbed by the body.

Note: Warning—eating this dish without the required PHY can potentially cripple or outright kill the user.

Note: Consuming more or similar items will not increase the user's stats.

Everyone, including Rishi, stares in shock at the heart.

“The grade fell from Deep Purple to Light Purple, but still, Menchi… you managed to create a dish that permanently increases stats?! That’s insane!”

“Congratulations,” Tereza says, quite impressed.

“I see a way to improve my low PHY… sadly, this item requires a base PHY of 15, which I don’t have,” Rishi says, a slight hint of disappointment in his voice.

“I only had one chance for this dish. It was do or die. I didn’t want to risk ruining the dish, so I prepared it with a cautious approach, which obviously affected the quality and the requirements. Alex, you barely have the 15 PHY required, right?” Menchi admits.

“I have way more than 15 PHY, but I’m not sure if items count. Either way, I’ll gladly eat it. I’m lacking exactly one stat point to use my innate skill again! This is perfect timing, Menchi!”

Alex says as he greedily eats the [Mythical Dish: (Smoked Dragon Heart)].

As he quickly eats it, his entire body feels like it’s burning, his face red like a tomato. He begins to sweat but still forces himself to keep eating.

“Damn, I’m sweating like crazy, and this is so hard to eat, but Menchi… it’s delicious, and I’ve never eaten an animal heart before! The taste is so strong! I love it,” Alex says as he eats, making Menchi smile wholeheartedly.
