Chapter 21 - 21 21st The Shamelessness of the Dog Boss
21: 21st Chapter: The Shamelessness of the Dog Boss 21: 21st Chapter: The Shamelessness of the Dog Boss Hai Mingzhu looked admiringly at Shen Yue as if he was some sort of deity.
If she could describe Shen Yue in a popular phrase, it would be – this man is absolutely godlike!
She really couldn’t understand how Shen Yue managed to guess correctly every time.
“I would have never guessed that Xun Jiasheng would have the guts to do this!” Hai Mingzhu sighed.
Jin Xin laughed: “It’s not bravery; it’s shamelessness that he possesses more than anyone else here.”
Hai Mingzhu was once again puzzled.
She originally thought she wasn’t stupid, but now she realized that she might have been sold out by Jin Xin and Shen Yue, and might even willingly count the money for them.
“Why do you say that?”
Just as Hai Mingzhu asked this, she felt a chill run down her spine, somewhat understanding Jin Xin’s meaning.
The contract must only be sealed with the fingerprints of the person in charge of the security company.
To her surprise, it was the seemingly honest Manager Song who had offered his imprint for An Xin Security.
“The treaty stipulates that the person who leaves a fingerprint must carry out the task.” Shen Yue knowingly stated: “Most leaders would hesitate to shirk their responsibilities and wouldn’t want to provide their own fingerprints.
But if someone is shameless enough, they could find a way to avoid the danger and wouldn’t hesitate.”
“Xun Jiasheng rushed to sign the contract because he shamelessly thought he could make more money by hiring someone else to complete the task, while evading the risks himself.” Hai Mingzhu understood and quipped, “He’s truly shameless, no wonder you, President Jin, call him ‘Dog President’.
But…
would a giant corporation employ such an unethical person?”
“Did you just graduate from college?” Jin Xin glanced at Hai Mingzhu and said, “Are you not aware that capitalists accumulate wealth on a bloody foundation?”
A slightly aggrieved Hai Mingzhu replied: “I did just graduate from college, haven’t I mentioned this before to you, President Jin?”
Jin Xin appeared slightly annoyed.
Hai Mingzhu stole a glance at Gao Jie, “Are you saying the Giant Corporation is also bad news?”
Jin Xin didn’t respond.
While the three of them were talking, Feng Jingye and Zhou Dewei also left their fingerprints, formally signing the contract.
These two people seemed to have some sense of shame, choosing to take the matter into their own hands.
“What’s the name of that security company?” Shen Yue asked suddenly.
Out of the six security companies, Shen Yue was familiar with five – Jin Tang, An Xin, Tie Tai, Fu Quan, and De Wei.
The sixth security company was comprised of three men who seemed quite ordinary and didn’t talk much.
They didn’t even ask questions during the discussions.
If it weren’t for Shen Yue’s mention, Hai Mingzhu would have almost not noticed them.
Jin Xin shook his head, “I’m familiar with almost all the security companies in this city, but I’ve never seen that one.” As he spoke, he noticed one person from that company move forward to leave his fingerprint.
Jin Xin followed him to leave his fingerprint and took the opportunity to check their business information.
Once back, he said, “It’s called Qi Family Security, and the signature by the imprint is Qi Xin.
I’ve never heard of them, it must be a newly-established company, right?” As he spoke, Jin Xin checked some information about the company online with his phone and frowned: “I found their registration information.
They are indeed a local security company, but haven’t been established for long.”
Shen Yue nodded in acknowledgment, while Hai Mingzhu marveled, “President Jin, Xun Jiasheng may be shameless, but I believe you are the epitome of a true man.”
“You don’t need to remind me purposefully; I won’t let you take on the task,” Jin Xin replied indifferently, his gaze, however, was fixed on the last person to sign the contract.
It was Tie Zheng, an elder representing Tietai Security, who was about to press his fingerprint.
Suddenly, he was interrupted by Tie Wa.
Looking sluggish and clumsy on the outside, Tie Wa’s interference was as swift as a leopard pouncing on its prey.
Tie Wa suddenly reached the table, startling Gao Jie who involuntarily stepped back.
But Tie Wa was fixated on the imprint clay, ready to leave his mark on the contract.
Suddenly, another hand reached out and grabbed Tie Wa’s wrist!
Despite Tie Wa’s swift action, the person was not slow to react.
The person who grabbed Tie Wa’s wrist was none other than Tie Zheng.
As Tie Wa tried to struggle, Tie Zheng yelled, “If you can’t obey me, then go back home, and never come here again!”
Tie Wa paused, his struggling hand dropping down.
The time it took for Tie Zheng to leave his fingerprints on the contract and neatly sign his name was astoundingly quick.
Holding the contract with both hands, he handed it to Gao Jie with solemn respect as if pledging his solemn promise.
An unexpected sense of melancholy filled Hai Mingzhu, making her nose tingle and her eyes teary.
This was just a minor detail.
Yet, without Shen Yue’s analysis, she could understand what had happened.
The person who pressed the fingerprints had to go on the task, which was undoubtedly fraught with danger.
Despite Tie Wa’s innocent exterior, he understood this principle and proactively took the danger onto himself.
But Tie Zheng clearly cared more about Tie Wa’s safety, which was why he insisted on pressing his fingerprints.
Even the icy countenance of Gao Jie showed a glimmer of emotion.
This, however, quickly disappeared as she efficiently organized the contracts and announced, “Alright, the contracts are now officially in effect.
Everyone, please leave and gather here at eight o’clock tomorrow morning.
At that time, the respective tasks will be assigned.”
Everyone stood up from their seats, collected their cheques, and left the meeting room with some still discussing softly.
Shen Yue, Jin Xin, and Hai Mingzhu left at a leisurely pace by taking the elevator.
As they were about to change elevators, they noticed the previous group descending via an elevator, and Xun Jiasheng and Manager Song waiting at the elevator entrance.
When Jin Xin walked past Xun Jiasheng, he taunted, “President ‘Dog’, I suppose you feel too awkward to share an elevator with Tie Zheng, eh?”
“Enough!
Can’t you stop?!” Xun Jiasheng’s face turned gaunt as he retorted indignantly.
“You did it; why shouldn’t I mention it?” Jin Xin retorted with a smirk, “Are you upset and fancy a fight?”
Xun Jiasheng doesn’t respond, and Manager Song also remained silent with his head down.
As the elevator doors open, Jin Xin stepped in and sneered, “I am sure you wouldn’t want to share an elevator ride with me either, so you can wait for the next one.”
Xun Jiasheng turned pale.
Just before the elevator doors closed, he suddenly made an unexpected decision.
He stuck his hand out, preventing the doors from closing, and squeezed in saying, “Only cowards are scared!” Seeing this, Manager Song also quickly entered the elevator and pressed the button for the lobby.
Jin Xin was a bit surprised, but he didn’t forget to counter taunt: “You’re not scared, but you sure made Manager Song press the fingerprint.”
Xun Jiasheng laughed, “Jin Xin, you are still too petty and don’t understand that the real leaders of big corporations are strategic.
Furthermore, Manager Song volunteered to press his fingerprint; I didn’t force him.
Manager Song, right?”
Manager Song merely responded with a grunt while clenching his shaking fist.
“If you want to fight injustice, you’re in the wrong place.
Why don’t you go to Liangshan instead?” Xun Jiasheng boasted victoriously: “President Jin, a good leader is one that their subordinates are willing to die for.
It seems like you’re not a good leader.”
He was indeed shameless.
In just a few sentences, he managed to turn the tables and seeing that Jin Xin had no retort, he felt all the more pleased.
Just as he was about to speak again, he suddenly fell silent.
The elevator suddenly became very quiet.
So quiet, people could almost hear the sound of their own heartbeats.
Seeing Jin Xin, Shen Yue, and Hai Mingzhu staring straight ahead as though witnessing something extremely strange, Xun Jiasheng sneered, “Are you trying to scare me?
Your act is rather pathetic.”
Despite saying this, Xun Jiasheng felt that these three people were not acting and became uneasy.
His throat felt dry and raspy, and the voice that came out didn’t even sound like his own.
The elevator stopped, as it should.
It is only when the elevator stops that one would feel a sudden quietness.
It’s only natural for the elevator to stop, otherwise, it wouldn’t be called an elevator.
However, the expressions on the faces of Jin Xin and the others did not suggest that the elevator had stopped under normal circumstances!
What do you think?
