Chapter 162: Unwanted
"What's happening?" Daniela looked with curious eyes at Leslie and Evelyn, who had stopped still, staring at a place where there was nothing. The three of them had been talking about the old dragon they had just met until their friends froze like statues...
Leslie barely moved her eyelids and brought her hands to her chest. She remained silent for a few moments: "I don't know, I suddenly felt very uncomfortable..." She clicked her tongue, somewhat disgusted.
"Terrifying," Evelyn murmured to herself while shivering slightly...
Daniela tilted her head, confused, but when she looked around and felt nothing strange, she shook her head: "Are you sure you're okay?"
Leslie thought for a moment. A little while ago, she had heard a chaotic melody that entered her soul directly. It was like a small call from a child, and that made her soul stir a little. It was a familiar sensation, but there was something in it that made her shiver completely, and looking at Evelyn's empty eyes, she felt the same as I did...
Noticing that the melody that made her nauseous had completely stopped, she sighed with relief: "Yes, now I'm fine." Leslie looked at Daniela with a gentle smile.
"Good! And you, Evelyn?" Daniela approached Evelyn, who had her head bowed, and placed a hand on her back.
"Ugh..." Evelyn groaned and shook her head: "No, it made me hungry." She shook her head again and demanded food right now.
Daniela smiled seeing that Evelyn was also feeling better and smiled back. Just as she was about to return to the castle, the sunlight crystallized as if it had shattered into hundreds of pieces, halos of all kinds of colors projected onto the ground.
The three looked up. Above them was a gigantic ice platform that seemed to stretch out to all extremes as if covering the wild clearings...
"What's happening?" Daniela murmured incredulously, as great amounts of mana began forming in the sky...
"Quick, go to the castle, now." The cold voice of the professor echoed in the minds of the three.
"Professor?" Daniela's eyes opened wide. "What's happening?" she asked, feeling a dark energy, as if from the abyss, beginning to take shape in the skies...
"Some unwanted guests... but as I told you, go to the castle, it's the safest place right now." The professor's voice was cold and calm.
Daniela shuddered as she saw the blue skies begin to change colors in different shades. Chaotic energy was spreading like an explosion, corroding every place...
"D-demonic energy," Daniela stammered. As a user of sacred magic, she was the most susceptible and sensitive, trembling as she felt the vast amounts of demonic mana coming from the skies...
"Don't freeze now," Leslie frowned while grabbing her hand. "Come on, we're just in the way now," Leslie said, dragging her by the hand.
Daniela kept looking at the sky, the corrupt energy making the skies blacken... "These aren't normal demons."
Evelyn stared at the sky for a few moments. Her eyes briefly shone before dimming again. With slow steps, she followed Leslie towards the castle.

Emilia frowned, watching as the pale green vortex expanded as if trying to force its way through the dimension. Similarly, another large vortex was in another part of the sky, grotesquely black.
The two vortices completely distorted the surrounding space; large amounts of mana tried to expand and devour everything around them like a predator. The two colors rose into the sky and pulsed like a beating heart.
From the center of the pale green vortex, a crack appeared. From it, an arm extended, like the stem of a plant. The green energy expanded much more than before. After a few seconds, the crack grew bigger, and the arm fully emerged.
Emilia looked at the appearance of the sin of envy. Her whole body was almost as thin as a noodle; she was almost over two meters tall. Her eyes were like a snake's, and she had light red lips. The demon smiled while looking directly at me.
"What are you doing in this place, Envy? You know you're forbidden to force the dimensions like that," Emilia looked coldly as blue mana expanded around her to stop the madness of corruption that tried to devour everything.
"Come on, Emilia, don't play dumb. You know why we're here." Envy smiled like a snake, her eyes looking in different directions. "Tell me, where is it?"
Emilia raised an eyebrow: "Are you looking for the fragment of the divine rune?"
"Yes, don't waste my time. I don't like this place much." Envy clicked her tongue. "The energies here are very animalistic and unpleasant, quite disgusting."
Envy looked at the other black, tar-like portal, from which a crack also appeared. The person who came out of that vortex was a young man with golden hair and black eyes. He wore a black t-shirt and black pants. The young man had goat-like horns protruding from his head. His body was as robust as a rock, and he didn't even bother to hide his presence. The space around him groaned in pain as it tore apart, and black ink painted the skies. The overwhelming sensation of oppression distorted the world itself...
"Serafin." The voice of Pride was loud and full of arrogance. His black eyes fixed on Emilia, tilting his head slightly: "Are you going to try to stop me?" The arrogant smile mocked briefly as he glanced at Envy: "Damn snake, don't try to get involved; I'll kill you first." He frowned at Envy as if he didn't like her.
Envy looked at him, narrowing her eyes: "Do what you want," she said while trying to leave the place. But the world around froze; at the same time, time seemed to stop in space. A cold air like death surrounded a hundred kilometers around.
Envy and Pride looked simultaneously at Emilia...
"Where do you think you're going?" Emilia smiled faintly. Her eyes shone, and a spear appeared in her hand: "Who gave you permission to leave this place?"
"Damn it!" Envy screamed, looking at Emilia with bright eyes, and her body changed a little, but most striking were the two pairs of horns twisting as they rose toward the sky.
"Heh." Pride smiled, and the world itself was plunged into darkness.
What do you think?
