Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 604 - 604 Point

Jade sat back slightly in her chair, crossing one leg over the other with deliberate grace.

Her eyes held his, steady and unreadable, but her mind was already racing ahead.

The truth was, she didn't need this money. Not even a fraction of it.

Her husband, Ross, was a multi-billionaire—a powerful man whose fortune continued to grow like wildfire in every sector he touched.

Over the years, he'd given her so much money she could have built cities, bought islands, or commissioned her own moon base if she wanted.

If she stacked the cash he gave her in neat piles, she was fairly certain they'd reach the clouds.

But Jade had never been the type to sit on silk cushions and sip champagne all day.

That life, while alluring to many, felt hollow to her. She had grown up with drive in her blood and ambition stitched into her bones.

Even after marrying Ross, she had refused to become one of those pampered wives who spent their days lounging in designer boutiques and attending social luncheons with nothing to talk about but fashion, gossip, and cosmetic surgeons.

She wanted more. She needed more.

Working gave her purpose. Building something of her own gave her pride.

Every deal she closed, every success she achieved, added another brick to the empire she was determined to build—something that was hers and hers alone.

Still, as she looked at Thomas Jones sitting there—handsome, confident, eyes full of a hunger that clearly wasn't limited to business—Jade felt something else stir inside her.

An idea, bold and uninvited, took root in her mind.

Thomas was here to play a game. That much was obvious.

The way he looked at her, like she was already halfway out of her dress.

The way he spoke, slow and smooth, with just enough warmth to hint at more than professionalism.

He thought she would be easy to charm, someone he could seduce into compliance.

He probably assumed her life was dull, that she was some bored trophy wife looking for attention, desperate for excitement.

But he was wrong.

Jade wasn't a woman easily led. She wasn't weak. And she certainly wasn't desperate.

Two can play this game, she thought, and a faint smile nearly tugged at the corner of her lips. She smothered it before it could rise.

If Thomas wanted to flirt, she'd flirt right back. If he wanted to test boundaries, she'd let him get close—close enough to believe he was winning.

And while he chased the fantasy of undressing her, she'd be busy stripping every dime of investment from his wallet.

It was risky, yes. Dangerous, even. But the thrill of the power play was intoxicating.

Besides, she knew exactly where her line was. She loved Ross. She respected her marriage.

Nothing Thomas did—not his smirk, not his charm, not even the way her body responded to him—was going to make her forget that.

But letting Thomas think he had a chance? Letting him try to seduce her while she stayed firmly in control? That was something else entirely.

"One hundred million," Thomas said, breaking the silence with that same easy confidence.

He didn't blink. Didn't fidget. He simply stood there like he owned the room, unaware that Jade was already several moves ahead of him.

She gave him a slow, thoughtful nod, as if she were genuinely considering the offer. Inside, though, her mind was already forming the next part of her plan.

He wanted to play?

Good.

She'd show him what it really meant to lose control.

"That's too little for my business, Mr. Jones." Jade leaned back in her chair, crossing one leg over the other with calculated grace.

Her eyes gleamed with a cool challenge.

"If that's all you can bring to the table right now, then you're just wasting my time."

There was a hint of amusement in her voice, but her expression was anything but playful.

She wanted him to know she wasn't desperate—far from it.

If Thomas backed out here and now, she wouldn't lose sleep over it. In fact, it might be for the best.

It would mean putting some distance between herself and the very thing that threatened to unravel her resolve.

Temptation wasn't just knocking—it was kicking down the door. And she wasn't sure how long she could keep pretending she didn't hear it.

Thomas, however, didn't flinch.

"One billion," he said flatly, his voice low and assured. He leaned forward just enough to show he wasn't backing down.

"If that's too small for you, I can double it. Triple it. Money isn't the issue here. And—" he paused, eyes narrowing slightly, "—call me Thomas. That's part of our deal."

His tone made it clear he wasn't just offering a transaction. He was offering control—his terms, his name, his rhythm.

And the way he said it, so calm and confident, sent a subtle current of unease down Jade's spine.

This man wasn't bluffing.

He had the resources, the audacity, and likely the backing of forces she'd only heard whispers about.

With the clandestine hand of the U.S. government behind him, ten billion was child's play.

Jade studied him, her silence stretching long enough to make most men squirm.

But Thomas held her gaze, unfazed. In another life, she might've respected that. Maybe even admired it.

Instead, she smiled.

"My, my… You really did come prepared, didn't you?" Her voice softened, silk wrapping around steel.

She stood, smoothing her skirt down, every motion deliberate.

"Very well. You got yourself a deal. I'm not arrogant enough to shoo away money that's already knocking on my doorsteps."

She walked to the window, the city lights flickering across her face like firelight.

"I'll have my lawyers here tomorrow morning. Bright and early. And if you're still serious by then, we'll sign the papers and move forward."

She turned back to him, lips curved in a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"I'll see you then… Thomas."

And just like that, the deal was no longer just about money. It was a battlefield—and neither of them had any intention of losing.
