Chapter 2022: Vampiric Demons
-----
The flames and the frost burned and froze the viper monster's body constantly, the changing temperatures made the monster's internal body get shredded apart, until cracks spread through its body, as if it had become made of stone…
"GRYYYAAAAHHH!"
Crack, crack…!
Until…
BOOOMMM!!!
The entire monster exploded into pieces, its flesh and bones having been hardened to stone through an incredible level of magic manipulation, temperature control, and alchemy all mixed into magic.
"K-Kraxka… Dammit, to be saved again by you…!"
Larzak felt humiliated once more, relying on his friend so much, he felt terrible as a person, and even more as a warrior.
"Don't charge recklessly, we might be accompanied by strong people, but that doesn't mean we suddenly are invincible."
Kraxka touched Larzak's arms as he tried to heal him, managing to stop the poison through the manipulation of temperatures inside of his body and alchemy.
FLUOSH!
"Hmmm, your arms are… they're lost."
"U-unnggh…!"
As Larzak saw his arms having already rotten from the inside out, a shadow loomed above them.
The two panicked, looking into the skies.
BAAAAM!
But it wasn't a monster, but an adorable robot girl ten meters tall!
She had the shape of Benladra, but made of silver, white, and gold metal, overflowing with her Element and Divinity.
"I'll heal you, Larzak!"
"Ah, young Lady Benladra…!"
Larzak was moved as her giant, cold mechanical hands touched his arms, and then…
CRASH!
"Aaaagggh!"
She tore them off his body rather bloodily, making the lizardman scream in pain as blood and venom sprayed into the ground.
"Y-Young Lady! Did you had to be so forceful?!"
"A-Ah! I'm sorry, it's hard to control this machine while only using a part of my mind… I'll help you get new arms!"
Benladra started infusing her light into Larzak's arms, as they began to regenerate from the bone, to muscles, and more…
And yet…
"Sister, why don't we try that with Larzak here?"
Kate's voice echoed from within the robot.
"Oh, you mean that? Sure… but would Larzak be alright with it?"
"There shouldn't be any problems, if anything, his arms will never go through the same ever again if he accepts this."
"W-What is it, young lady?" Larzak wondered.
"Ah, Kate has designed special nanomachines that can combine with living cells and reinforce them. If we inject them now, sir Larzak, we could help you get even stronger arms, and perhaps your body slowly will assimilate them and get stronger too."
"Nano… machin?" Larzak was confused. "You mean the golems the young Lady Kate creates?"
"Yes!" Benladra nodded.
"Well… if she says it could help, sure!" Larzak nodded. "I don't have anything to lose either way… And I trust Lord Drake's daughters."
"Thank you for being our experimental subject~!" Benladra said happily.
"Benladra, don't say it like that out loud, it sounds weird…" Kate sighed.
"O-Oh?! Sorry! I didn't meant to say that!" Benladra giggled apologetically, as Larzak and Kraxka got a bit worried.
"W-Wait, maybe I'm beginning to reconsider- Agh!"
Larzak was beginning to regret it at the last moment, but it was too late, a giant syringe filled his arms with nanomachines, which rapidly merged with his regenerating bones, muscles, skin, and scales.
FLUOOOSH!
"W-Woah?!"
Larzak didn't feel any pain whatsoever, as his arms grew bulkier, larger, and pseudo mechanical, merging with his flesh.
Once done, his arms were of a shiny silver color, with neon blue circuits everywhere, but they also had his scales, sharp claws, hands, everything.
"I-It feels just like when I had my arms before, impressive…!"
Larzak quickly stood back up, overflowing with power.
The nanomachines, each one of them was a powerful robot created by Kate's powers.
They possessed her Divine Power and were made of the hardest metal she could create as well.
"You can do a lot of things with them, try out their functions as you battle, sir Larzak."
"T-Thank you, young lady Kate! I couldn't be more indebted to you… I was afraid but it seemed to be for nothing!"
As Hector regrouped with the rest, followed by an army of one hundred giant humanoid, armored machines overflowing with power and covered on the blood of many monsters, the whole group continued their advance.
Larzak tested his new arms right away, facing an incoming horde of not Divine Monsters, but Demons!
"Demons?!" Hector asked. "W-Why are they here?! Did Pandemonium open a portal here?"
"They might've been of the many that were moved away. I assumed most died, but I guess that's not the case then!" Larzak said.
"GIVE US YOUR SOULS AND BLOOD, MORTAL!"
The Demons roared in unison, their faces looked pale, and they had giant sharp fangs in their faces, while their eyes glowed bright red.
They had powerful Blood Auras coming from them, they were not simply demons.
"They look strange… Be careful!" Benladra said.
"What the hell is going on in here?" Miranda wondered. "We were getting so close and then these guys showed up?"
Miranda glanced at the approaching horde of Demons, which were roughly two hundred strong. They came in all shapes and sizes, from the smallest imps to some Red Oni Demons, gigantic in size, making the ground tremble with every step.
But their skin was paler than usual, some were just completely white in color, their eyes were bigger and red, and as they saw beforehand, they had sharp fangs, sharper than usual, with Blood Auras mixed with their Demonic Auras.
"T-Those are Blood Auras, and those damn Demons are certainly Vampiric! What the fuck?!"
As Miranda began to wonder what the actual fuck was happening, the horde of demons clashed against their group, the three Red Onis, which were also Vampiric, roared, swinging their giant axes made of Demonic Beast Bones against everyone.
CLAAAASH! CLAAAASH! CLAAAASH!
RUMBLE!
The entire ground shook constantly, as Hector, Larzak, and Kraxka quickly evaded the incoming, and rapid attacks, and the even more devastating shockwaves.
Flames of infernal demonic power spread everywhere, accompanied by weird, life-draining blood flames, which were even more annoyingly deadly.
BOOOMMM!!!
