Chapter 147: Chapter 147: Giving a Status, Is It Boyfriend?
Bella’s family is situated in the relatively remote Wood County under Peace City.
Wood County isn’t very large. In earlier years, residents essentially lived by tending a patch or two of land, letting the seasons pass by. As times progressed, many people in Wood County sought opportunities in Peace City to provide their descendants a way out of the small place.
Ron Woods and Jade Patel were among this wave of people.
Just that Ron Woods seemed to have a knack for business by nature.
The couple, through a dinner event, got acquainted with a distant second uncle whom they didn’t have much connection with. After drinking happily, the second uncle promised the couple to follow him to Peace City to work on building materials.
Initially, it was just talk after drinking, but the next day, Ron Woods packed up and went to Peace City with Jade Patel and the second uncle. At the uncle’s factory, Ron worked diligently, coincidentally witnessing the second uncle’s two sons fiercely competing for the factory.
The uncle simply decided to sell the factory to Ron Woods, as long as Ron would give 10% of the marketing revenue every year back to the sons, ending the agreement in ten years.
Ron Woods used this factory to become wealthy, until Bella Woods arrived in Peace City and met Cyan Marshall, backed by the Hughes Family, pushing the Woods Family’s business to new heights and reaching their current position.
“This piece of land was funded by my dad.”
Bella Woods held Ashton’s hand, walking on the asphalt road, introducing every detail of Wood County.
Wood County, despite its status as a county, wasn’t actually big with just an old street and a few hundred households, followed by mostly original land and forests, primarily relying on these lands for livelihood.
