Dragon Tamer

Chapter 785 - 789: Defeated, Then Die

Chapter 785: Chapter 789: Defeated, Then Die

Zhu Minglang did not mention the consequences of failure to the Yama Dragon, nor did he bring up the subject of the dragon signing a contract with him.

He gave the Yama Dragon plenty of opportunities.

He wanted the Yama Dragon to fail time and time again, to grind its pride and will to dust through these defeats and humiliations.

Of course, Bai Qi also had to endure battles of such intensity, posing a significant challenge to himself as well.

Bai Qi could not afford to lose, for even one loss would mean all previous efforts had been in vain.

But Bai Qi’s ambition was high as the sky. With the Yama Dragon as such a rare adversary, Bai Qi was instead inspired by an even more surging fighting spirit and battle intent. In this evenly matched slaughter, he learned, and in these long, drawn-out battles of endurance, he sought breakthroughs, pushing every ability to its limit, utilizing every inch of his body’s strength, and always maintaining a clear, coolheaded consciousness!

Bai Qi’s talent was truly remarkable, with very few opponents capable of invoking such high morale in battle. After several fights, Bai Qi’s appetite had increased significantly. The effect of the Ten Thousand Years Silver Fir Holy Dew was becoming apparent, giving him absolute confidence in defeating the Yama Dragon again, and this time it might not even take a whole night!

Bai Qi and the Yama Dragon both rested for three days and three nights.

The Yama Dragon’s rate of healing was extremely fast. After filling its belly, all the wounds on its body had miraculously healed on their own.

Bai Qi did not belong to the type of dragons with rapid self-healing, and some burns from the Demonic Flame and other injuries were still present on its body.

For this reason, the Yama Dragon waited an extra day especially for Bai Qi.

On the twentieth night, the Yama Dragon launched another attack on Bai Qi. After a long battle, it seemed as if both had become familiar with each other’s abilities, requiring no further probing. They went straight to employing mighty Divine Skills, and only when their physical and mental energies began to wane did they resort to more rudimentary hand-to-hand combat!

Approaching dawn, Bai Qi used an overwhelming glacial Spirit Realm to crush the Yama Dragon, freezing it into a massive iceberg.

The Yama Dragon could not break free from the powerful freezing and was defeated.

As the frost thawed, the Yama Dragon’s defeat seemed more vexing and infuriating. It roared incessantly at Bai Qi, apparently denouncing the White Dragon’s cunningness, but it seemed more like a thunderous outrage at itself, perplexed by its own stupidity!

After a while, the day brightened once more.

After venting its rage, the Yama Dragon needed no more enticement from Zhu Minglang. It went on its own to the heap of Sun and Moon Essence Stones, gobbling them up hungrily!

Unconvinced!

This time, it was seriously unconvinced!!

The White Dragon is deceitful!!

After eating, the Yama Dragon went to rest. It was not heavily injured this time and would not take long to recover.

But to ensure it was in peak condition, the Yama Dragon adjusted for an extra night, allowing itself to be nurtured by the darkness…

Once again, night fell, and the Yama Dragon continued to challenge the Moon Blessing White Dragon.

The battle was still incredibly fierce, with the colliding Dragon Breaths causing tremendous storms that battered heaven and earth.

In the early stages of the fight, both the Moon Blessing White Dragon and the Yama Dragon seemed evenly matched, with no clear sign of who had the upper hand. But by midnight, Bai Qi had gained a slight advantage.

As the night wore on, Bai Qi suffered some injuries, but the Yama Dragon was more heavily wounded. Its throat was encased in a thick layer of ice, preventing it from spewing Dragon Flame, and even its Demonic Flame was sealed.

Deprived of such potent abilities, the Yama Dragon stood no chance against Bai Qi’s Frost of the Ice Sky.

The Yama Dragon was defeated once again.

This time, there was still some time until dawn.

Meaning Bai Qi had defeated the Yama Dragon in even less time than before!

“My White Dragon has grown stronger these days, so no matter how many times you challenge it, you will not be able to win,” Zhu Minglang said to the Yama Dragon, which had been defeated again.

The Yama Dragon showed signs of dejection and demoralization, unable to accept that it had failed for the third time.

But the Yama Dragon was incredibly stubborn and insisted on fighting again!

Zhu Minglang gave it the opportunity. After all, there was an abundance of Dragon Food stored, though the Yama Dragon could devour nearly ten million gold in one meal, one can’t trap a wolf without risking the child!

The Yama Dragon, worth devoting one’s all!

“Yoo~~~” Little White savored food slowly, always preferring to chew thoroughly and slowly, and it had to sit on Zhu Minglang’s shoulder like a little pine squirrel nibbling away. The Yama Dragon, on the other hand, wolfed down its food, as if it wanted to pour all the essence charged with star and moon energy directly into its stomach.

After finishing its meal, Little White shook its tail, stretched forward, and then rapidly and fiercely stabbed at the saw rock in front of Zhu Minglang.

Eighty-one shadow stings in a row instantly turned the extremely hard saw rock into a honeycomb. Zhu Minglang was somewhat surprised, looking at Little White.

“Yoo~~~~~”

Little White was thrilled because in the battle with the Yama Dragon it had realized a new Dragon Tail technique. This sequence of shadow stings could pierce through the Yama Dragon’s Diamond Scale, meaning it was confident it could defeat the Yama Dragon even faster in the next battle!

“Well done,” Zhu Minglang extended his hand, scratching the fluff on Bai Qi’s neck. The Little White Dragon wore a look of noble haughtiness on its face, but its little head involuntarily raised, slowly half-closing its eyes, resembling an elegant snow fox basking comfortably in the sun.

After scratching comfortably, Little White Dragon also rubbed its fluffy head against Zhu Minglang’s cheek.

The Yama Dragon opened its eyes and watched the intimate gestures between the human and the White Dragon, a flash of confusion and disdain crossing its gaze.

Continuing the challenge, for the fourth time the Yama Dragon fought with soaring spirits, as if it had also gained some insights from these constant battles, nearly defeating the Moon Blessing White Dragon several times.

Thankfully, Bai Qi managed each situation, eventually reclaiming his advantage and reasserting his dominance over the Yama Dragon’s momentum.

Bai Qi utilized the newly understood “Shadow-stealing Tail” to pierce a huge hole in the Yama Dragon’s chest, ultimately achieving victory.

This time, Bai Qi defeated the Yama Dragon around midnight, cutting the time from the first battle in half!

Once again the Yama Dragon was brought down, but this time it did not get up like before.

Panting heavily, its body covered in frostbite, the Diamond Scales were damaged beyond repair.

In its current state, even without the Dragon-binding Divine Silkworm Silk, it had no chance of escaping.

With a defeated expression and void of any vitality, the Yama Dragon realized it was now inferior to Bai Qi, and no matter how many times they fought, it was unlikely to win.

It had trouble accepting this fact but was already out of options to change the outcome.

At that moment, the Yama Dragon resembled a bull that had its horns broken, its body impaled with countless spears, lying on the ground, exhaustedly awaiting death’s embrace.

“Your last chance,” Zhu Minglang said to the Yama Dragon.

At this point, the Yama Dragon had no expectations for food; it had lost its appetite. Its pride was trampled by the White Dragon, and it had believed there were no dragons in the world stronger than itself. However, these repeated defeats shattered its pride and dignity.

Yet, the Yama Dragon still chose to swallow the food, grasping at even this last opportunity.

It recognized that it was no longer as powerful as the White Dragon, but it refused to believe that with so many chances, it couldn’t win even once, at least not to the point of failing to last till midnight!

After resting for two days, the Yama Dragon’s combat strength had rejuvenated. Its life force was incredibly resilient, and it could maintain such a high state of readiness for battle continuously for such a long time.

Actually, Little Bai Qi was already struggling to hold on, not being a dragon known for its rapid recovery. So if he kept giving the Yama Dragon opportunities, by the sixth, seventh, eighth time, Little Bai Qi would be exhausted.

However, Zhu Minglang had another plan.

He had reached his dragon taming objective; there was no need to keep letting Little Bai Qi wear down the Yama Dragon’s esteem. From now on, the challenge would be between him and the Yama Dragon!

“Ghouao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The Yama Dragon roared and strode towards Bai Qi, issuing another challenge!

But this time, the one who stepped forward was Zhu Minglang.

Zhu Minglang stepped up alone and with a wave of his hand, he miraculously retracted all of the Dragon-binding Divine Silkworm Silk.

Thousand strands and filaments, the God silkworm silk had woven a vast silk forest within the serrated rocks, a magnificent sight.

As Zhu Minglang collected the God silkworm silk, the chains like silk on the Yama Dragon’s body vanished as well.

The Yama Dragon felt a lightness over its body as its Grim Reaper Scythe Wings were finally unfettered, stretching freely to the heavens.

The moment the Dragon-binding Divine Silkworm Silk disappeared, the Yama Dragon almost took to its wings to fly away from this torturous place.

“I told you, this is your last chance. If you can’t even defeat me, then what meaning do you think your existence has in this world!”

“So, this is your last chance. If you lose, you die!!”

Zhu Minglang’s last three words came out with a heavy emphasis, and his eyes radiated a fierce cold light, his whole body exuding an ice-cold killing aura that swept in all directions!

The moonlight poured down bleakly, outlining the distinctive brilliance of Zhu Minglang’s “hidden star god”.

“Sword Awakening!”

Zhu Minglang grabbed the Sword Spirit Dragon soaring through the night, and in an instant, a blazing flame erupted on the blade, like a fierce sun. Then the entire vast night sky ignited, bright red and dazzling, with Fu Chen Star shining sinister yet mesmerizing, like a soul-capturing judgmental eye, overlooking the Yama Dragon on the ground below.

The Yama Dragon felt greatly challenged and sensed the endless divine power emanating from Zhu Minglang.

It instinctively took a few steps back, but by then, Zhu Minglang had already drawn his sword magnificently. With the night sky ablaze and the cold earth as its sheath, the moment the sword was drawn, heaven and earth trembled, and the sword’s light shone as bright as daylight!!

Heavenly Level Sword Technique!

Thousand Flower Life Sword!!

With the sword unleashed, it was his strongest swordsmanship. After his oppressive display of God’s Light, Zhu Minglang went straight for the killing blow!
