Chapter 1035: Sea God Pavilion Meeting

The middle-aged man walked to the left side and took the second seat from the head of the table, where Meng Fei was sitting. Meng Fei leaned in and whispered something to him. The man nodded slightly, maintaining a warm and gentle smile on his face throughout.

At that moment, two more people entered, one behind the other. As soon as the first person stepped in, everyone in the room stood up respectfully and said, “Pavilion Master.”

It was a woman wearing a mask and a long robe. Though her features were concealed, her graceful figure was faintly discernible. She nodded at the others present, then looked toward Lan Xuanyu and his six companions, who hurriedly saluted her with great respect.

Pavilion Master? The Master of the Sea God Pavilion, the number one person in the current Federation, was a woman?

Following her was Elder Yi, a True God-level powerhouse Lan Xuanyu had seen before—someone even more senior than Shu Lao.

What shocked Lan Xuanyu was that the Pavilion Master didn’t take the main seat at the table. Instead, she walked to the middle-aged man’s side. The man stood up and respectfully said a few words to her in a voice transmission, inaudible to Lan Xuanyu and the others. Then, the Pavilion Master sat beside him—in the first seat on the left.

The Sea God Pavilion Master not taking the head seat at a Pavilion meeting? Then what was the significance of that main seat?

Elder Yi walked across and took the second seat on the right side.

The Pavilion Master said calmly, “That’s everyone. Let’s begin.”

“Yes,” Wang Tianyu responded respectfully, then turned his gaze to Lan Xuanyu and the others. He said, “Xuanyu, you all participated in the recent war between the Federation and the Dragon Horse Galaxy. In this war, we achieved a temporary victory, and during the negotiations, the Federation gained considerable benefits. The Academy is aware of your major accomplishments—you blew up the Spaceborne Clan’s resource planet, infiltrated Celestial Dragon Planet, secured a large chunk of Space Origin Crystals, and acquired substantial intelligence.

Initially, the Federation government was displeased by your recklessness, but they later came to view your actions as a pleasant surprise. You’ve successfully sowed chaos within the Dragon Horse Galaxy, especially by redirecting conflict outward. Among the Federation’s top leaders, more support you than oppose you. You’ll likely be rewarded with Sky Fighter merits and points. Today’s Sea God Pavilion meeting was convened specifically for you. The Academy wants to know whether there are any details the Federation missed, and to clarify a few things. You’ll speak first, and then Pavilion members will ask questions.”

“Yes,” Lan Xuanyu replied respectfully.

After a brief pause, he continued, “Let me start with the war. The war was sparked by the Proto Dragon Crystal incident. The Federation planned to use it to retaliate against the Dragon Horse Galaxy. During the major battle between the Seventh Fleet and the Dragon Horse forces, we used this to deceive the enemy and dealt them a heavy blow.”

The expressions of everyone present grew animated.

Because the Proto Dragon Crystal incident had been orchestrated by Lan Xuanyu and his companions! In other words, from the beginning to the end, the recent war was nearly entirely shaped by this group of young people.

Wang Tianyu interrupted, “We know all that. Tell us something the Academy doesn’t know.”

“Yes,” Lan Xuanyu continued. “We were assigned to the Seventh Fleet’s Dragon Three Warship. After the battle ended, Captain Yan Xinghe granted us freedom to operate within the Dragon Horse Galaxy and gather resources. I remembered how crucial Space Origin Crystals are to the Federation, the Academy, and Tang Sect, so I planned to visit Dragon Horse Planet Seventy-Six to see if we could obtain some.”

He then recounted how, using the Treasure Seeking Beast’s transformation abilities, they infiltrated Dragon Horse Seventy-Six with their companions, planted a Dragon’s Fury device as a backup for retreat, but concealed the existence of the Space Worm. The Space Worm was too important and tied to the Divine Realm. Lan Xuanyu wasn’t being selfish—he simply believed that revealing it could be dangerous for the Academy. The best choice was to keep it in the safest hands.

As he described the detonation of Dragon Horse Seventy-Six, the Sea God Pavilion members were visibly shocked. The unfamiliar middle-aged man smiled and said, “Impressive youth—truly impressive!”

“After leaving Planet Seventy-Six, I figured the Spaceborne Clan would suspect the Federation fleet first, so we fled in the opposite direction. At that time, I thought, if we could infiltrate a heavily guarded planet like 76, why not try their capital planet? Maybe we’d find something valuable, or better yet, frame someone else for the destruction of Planet Seventy-Six. If internal strife broke out in the Dragon Horse Galaxy, it would benefit the Federation.”

Lan Xuanyu gave a detailed account of their mission on Celestial Dragon Planet: impersonating Blue Sea Clansmen, Bai Xiuxiu using her martial soul avatar to pose as a Dragon Clan member, how they traded for resources and Space Origin Crystals, attended an auction, and deceived Huang Yuanlang. He shared everything except the final chaos caused by the Space Worm, which remained secret.

After hearing how they gained identities and infiltrated, nearly all Sea God Pavilion members—except the Pavilion Master and Elder Yi—were visibly excited, nearly ready to applaud.

“This time, we’ve returned mainly to hand over the resources we obtained. They’ll be of most use at the Academy. I only kept the Rainbow Gold Ore for my cultivation. The rest is all to be handed in.”

Lan Xuanyu walked to the long table, raised his hand, and bright light glowed from his Ring of Fate. Shimmering silver Space Origin Crystals appeared on the table.

Each crystal was the size of a fist, crystal-clear, distorting the surrounding space.

Tang Miao couldn’t help but leap to his feet. Blue light radiated from him as he enveloped all ten crystals to suppress the space distortion.

“Space Origin Crystals. My God, it’s my first time seeing such large ones. I had thought Xuanyu was foolish for giving one huge crystal to the Federation. Who would’ve thought he brought back ten times that amount? Haha! Our Tang Sect’s spatial tech research is going to skyrocket!”

The ten Space Origin Crystals stunned everyone in the Pavilion. Lan Xuanyu didn’t reveal other resources, as the setting wasn’t suitable for displaying everything.

“That’s the full report. Please feel free to ask your questions,” he said respectfully as he returned to his seat.

The Pavilion Master looked at him and said, “Anyone with questions, go ahead.”

The middle-aged man seated below her looked at Lan Xuanyu. “From what you just shared, you plan to return to Celestial Dragon Planet using your current identity, right?”

Lan Xuanyu nodded. “Yes. Celestial Dragon Planet’s resources are incredibly rich. By staying undercover and making trades, we can secure a large amount of rare materials. However, I doubt we’ll obtain more Space Origin Crystals. The Spaceborne Clan suffered massive losses, and I suspect Celestial Dragon Planet will eventually reconcile with them due to the Federation’s external threat. The price of Space Origin Crystals will likely soar, making them harder to get. But other resources—especially rare metals and minerals—should still be accessible. The Federation supports our return and will provide resources for trade. I’m confident we can earn the maximum benefit—some for the Federation, and the rest for the Academy and Tang Sect.”

The middle-aged man continued, “Can you guarantee safety?”
