Chapter 1028: Return To The Fleet

TL: GoldenLung

There was chaos in Celestial Dragon Planet City, and the Tianlong had yet to return. At this moment, no one had the bandwidth to pay attention to Lan Xuanyu and his team. And without a god-level divine sense, it was nearly impossible to detect the Treasure Seeking Beast—unless one had a protective shield with defensive capabilities. But Celestial Dragon Planet was simply too large to have such an all-encompassing shield.

Everyone rushed into space, followed the recorded coordinates to locate the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship, and only after boarding and restarting the ship did they finally breathe a real sigh of relief—even Lan Xuanyu. No matter how prepared or confident he was, the constant sense of danger from being in enemy territory never left him.

Through the porthole, Lan Xuanyu squinted at the enormous Celestial Dragon Planet, especially in the direction of Celestial Dragon Planet City. Something hidden above that city lingered in his mind, leaving him unsettled for a long time. What exactly was calling out to him? And what immense danger lay there?

The Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship changed course, not to rendezvous with the Third Fleet, but instead accelerated away, heading toward the Seventh Fleet.

Lan Xuanyu believed it wouldn’t be long before the Spaceborne Clan's fleet, originally meant to target the Federation's fleet, would arrive at Celestial Dragon Planet. Then things would truly become chaotic. He needed to return to the Seventh Fleet as quickly as possible to report the situation.

This matter was too important to handle via remote communication. If the information were intercepted, everything would be for nothing.

As they gradually distanced themselves from Celestial Dragon Planet, everyone finally relaxed.

They had gone deep behind enemy lines, first to Spaceborne Clan's Planet Seventy-Six in the Dragon-Horse Galaxy, then to Celestial Dragon Planet itself. Though they didn’t engage in direct combat, the tension and excitement far exceeded anything they'd experienced in past battles.

To ensure safety, Lan Xuanyu shut down all communication systems on the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship. The ship flew in ghost mode through space, heading straight for the Seventh Fleet.

They took inventory of their gains aboard the warship—and what they had collected was truly substantial.

The most valuable items were undoubtedly the eleven high-purity Space Origin Crystals. Lan Xuanyu suspected that the Federation, since learning about these crystals, hadn’t managed to collect this many in total.

In addition, there was a large quantity of Magic Silver and various rare metals, many unique to the Dragon Horse Galaxy. Of course, there was also the Rainbow Gold that Lan Xuanyu valued greatly.

He had personally examined the interior of the Rainbow Gold and found it exactly as he had anticipated—it contained all seven elements. Having the seven elements complement each other within a single material was no easy feat.

Within the Rainbow Gold, the elements formed a sphere: at the core was the silver space element, which was wrapped in light and darkness elements, with water, fire, earth, and wind elements forming the outer layer. The combination of these seven created a bizarre structure.

The seven elements in the Rainbow Gold were extremely stable. Lan Xuanyu understood that any change to a single element would disrupt this balance. While the metal wouldn’t explode, once the elemental balance was broken, the elemental fluctuations and spiritual energy inside would instantly vanish, rendering the Rainbow Gold useless.

In other words, it was the most delicate metal Lan Xuanyu had ever seen, which explained why it was only used for ornamentation in the Dragon-Horse Galaxy.

Even though Lan Xuanyu had already mastered soul forging, he still couldn’t forge this metal. He couldn’t simultaneously control all seven elements within it, which wasn’t a matter of forging skill.

To forge the Rainbow Gold, he would first need to master all seven elements—which meant waiting until he advanced to the seventh ring and could control all seven. Only then could he preserve the metal's spiritual nature during forging. Therefore, the Rainbow Gold wasn't suitable for making a Three-Word Battle Armor, but should be reserved for a Four-Word one.

"The military has treated us surprisingly well this time. We blew up Dragon-Horse No. 76, and they didn’t blame us—instead, they covered it up under the pretense of ignorance. Sure, part of that was to avoid a total breakout with the Dragon-Horse Galaxy at this critical time, but they also did it to protect us. I'm certain the Seventh Fleet played a major role in this. So, we should reciprocate. I plan to give one of the Space Origin Crystals, the intel we gathered, and some of the less useful but research-worthy metals and minerals to the military in exchange for merit. Any objections?"

"Boss, you decide," Qian Lei said with a grin.

"We didn’t really do anything! Of course Big Brother Xuanyu gets to decide," Yuanen Huihui added with a smile.

Naturally, no one else had any objections.

Lan Xuanyu continued, "Also, we need to return to the home planet once, to send the Space Worm back. It shouldn’t stay with us—it’s not good for its growth and might be discovered by the Spaceborne Clan."

"Is the home planet suitable for its survival?" Bai Xiuxiu asked.

Lan Xuanyu replied, "I discussed it with Little Trea. The environment should be fine as long as there's enough Magic Silver. What we brought back this time should feed it for a year. No idea how many Space Origin Crystals it might produce. I plan to entrust it to Uncle Le. With his cultivation, he should have no problem hiding its presence."

Undoubtedly, the most trustworthy person was Tang Le. Lan Xuanyu didn’t want to give the Space Worm to the Academy—not because he didn’t trust them, but because they would need enormous resources if they hoped to become the next generation of Shrek’s Seven Monsters. The Space Worm was their resource guarantee.

"You’ll come back with me this time. The rest of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings will stay and continue serving in the military. After we return, we’ll bring back some resources for them. Handing over the Space Origin Crystals and other items to Tang Sect and the Academy should earn us plenty of resources suitable for cultivation. We’ll use those to strengthen ourselves before returning to the fleet."

Qian Lei's eyes lit up. "This is way faster than doing Skyfighter missions to earn cultivation resources. What a great plan!"

Lan Xuanyu narrowed his eyes. "This should be our fastest way to improve. I hope it remains viable. That’s also why we need an official identity on Celestial Dragon Planet."

A few days later, they finally saw the Seventh Fleet. At that time, the fleet had already regrouped. The potential arrival of Spaceborne Clan ships had put the Seventh Fleet under a lot of pressure. While the Spaceborne Clan's combat power wasn’t necessarily high, their space-jumping abilities made them unpredictable. Especially after the destruction of Planet Seventy-Six, no one could tell how they would retaliate. As a result, the fleet adopted a full defensive formation. Though resource gathering continued near Celestial Steed Planet, the entire fleet was doing it together. It was less efficient but far safer.

The Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship exited stealth mode and reactivated communications.

“Dragon Three, Dragon Three, this is Thirty-Three Sky Wings. Please respond,” Lan Xuanyu called out.

Soon, a flash appeared on the main screen, revealing Yan Xinghe’s face.

Seeing Lan Xuanyu, Yan Xinghe looked visibly displeased. “What’s wrong with you? Why did you cut off communications? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is in the military? It usually means you were either destroyed or captured. Even now, you’ll have to undergo a full physical and security screening.”
