Chapter 1017: Huang Yuanlang

The private room was very large, as it was designed specifically for the Dragon Clan. The entire auction house was also incredibly huge, at least a hundred times larger than the one in Shrek City.

Lan Xuanyu and the others had never seen an auction house this massive before.

Bai Xiuxiu had already reverted to her human form, her deep blue hair cascading down her back, and she was dressed in a flowing white gown. The other six remained in their Blue Sea Clan disguises, following closely behind her.

To their surprise, none of the Dragon Horse Galaxy’s inhabitants seemed astonished by Bai Xiuxiu’s stunning beauty. Instead, they appeared indifferent to human-like features, with more of them showing reverence rather than admiration.

The news of a Higher Dragon appearing today was spreading like wildfire. In the Dragon Horse Galaxy, a human-like form was often seen as a characteristic feature of a Higher Dragon.

As the Dragon Horse Galaxy opposed the Douluo Federation, there was no possibility of real humans existing here.

Lan Xuanyu and his group consisted of only six people, making the private room—over 40 meters tall and spanning a thousand square meters—feel quite empty. Even a giant dragon over a hundred meters long could comfortably participate in the auction from here.

Moreover, their private room was in a prime location, positioned perfectly in the center.

In front of the room was a massive curved balcony, providing a clear view of the enormous auction stage in the distance. Though some details were hard to discern, simply looking down at the densely packed crowd of various Dragon Horse Galaxy species below naturally instilled a sense of superiority.

Inside the private room, a dedicated screen displayed a close-up view of the auction stage, allowing guests to see everything clearly. There was also a specialized bidding device, making it convenient for the occupants to place their bids.

Upon entering, they were informed that guests in the private rooms were considered the most esteemed and had the privilege of purchasing an item at its base price once. However, if another private room guest also placed a bid, the auction would proceed as usual.

Bai Xiuxiu sat down on the sofa. Since she was in human form, the sofa's size was just right for her. Lan Xuanyu and the others, however, remained standing, as they were playing the role of Bai Xiuxiu’s attendants.

A young girl, responsible for serving guests, brought in a variety of food and beverages, all of which were unfamiliar to Lan Xuanyu and his group. However, their unfamiliarity didn’t matter—the abundant life energy emanating from the food was enough to indicate its high value.

These could be considered specialties of the Dragon Horse Galaxy. Bai Xiuxiu picked some to taste and found the flavors quite pleasant. Even with a human palate, the food was delicious, especially a certain green fruit juice, which had an exceptionally sweet taste.

The server was also from the Blue Sea Clan, showing that the auction house had put effort into catering to Bai Xiuxiu. To the Lower Dragons attending today, the fact that all of Bai Xiuxiu’s attendants were Blue Sea Clan members suggested that she favored this particular race.

Initially, Lan Xuanyu and his team thought that earning over a million Dragon Horse Coins today was already a significant amount and that they would be able to purchase some items at the auction. However, upon arrival, they quickly realized that the number of wealthy individuals here far exceeded their expectations.

The entry requirement alone was a deposit of 300,000 Dragon Horse Coins, and there were over a thousand participants in the auction. Just imagine how much wealth that represented!

It became evident that the Dragon Horse Galaxy’s resources were even more abundant than they had initially thought.

Before long, most of the attendees had taken their seats. Lan Xuanyu and his group faintly heard deep rumbling noises coming from the private rooms on the second floor—it was likely the dragons. Gaining access to a second-floor private room required not only wealth but also status, making the dragons the most probable occupants.

On the auction stage, a humanoid creature with colorful plumes atop their head stepped forward. Standing about three meters tall, their feathered crest extended down their back. They walked upright on two legs but had four arms. Dressed in a red leather outfit, their facial features were somewhat human-like, but they lacked hair and had three eyes.

What species was this?

Lan Xuanyu quickly searched using his soul communicator and learned that this was a member of the Prism Feather Clan, also known as the Three-Eyed Prism Feather Clan—a small species within the Dragon Horse Galaxy.

The defining trait of this species was their immense spiritual power, which allowed them to influence others. Their combat style heavily relied on spiritual attacks, and their race had even produced god-level powerhouses before, making them one of the more elite species within the Dragon Horse Galaxy.

"Greetings, everyone! Welcome to today’s auction. I am Yicai, and I will be your host today. To the esteemed guests on the second floor, Yicai extends her respects." As she spoke, she bowed slightly toward the second-floor private rooms.

Despite the vast size of the auction hall, her voice resonated clearly in everyone's ears—or rather, in their minds. Lan Xuanyu immediately recognized that this auctioneer possessed spiritual power at the Spirit Domain Realm. Her voice carried an enchanting quality, naturally drawing everyone's attention toward her.

"Our auction will begin shortly. After reviewing today’s auction catalog, even I have felt my heart racing—there are quite a few incredible treasures up for bid today! Please place your bids actively and participate enthusiastically." Yicai continued her introduction.

Just then, the door to Lan Xuanyu’s private room suddenly swung open.

Lan Xuanyu turned his head toward the entrance, and his heart immediately tensed.

The person who entered was not the Blue Sea Clan girl who had been serving them earlier, but a man.

The newcomer had long, striking orange hair cascading down his back. He was handsome and well-built, dressed in an elegant white outfit resembling human formal attire, exuding an air of sophistication.

With just a single glance, Lan Xuanyu could sense the bloodline aura emanating from the man—without a doubt, he was a dragon, and not just any dragon, but a high-ranking one capable of taking human form.

Behind him, a series of heavy footsteps followed. The Lower Dragon they had encountered earlier that morning had also entered the room.

Lan Xuanyu immediately understood the reason for their invitation to the auction. He exchanged a glance with his companions, and they discreetly suppressed their presence while the Treasure-Seeking Beast reinforced their disguises.

The man stopped a short distance from Bai Xiuxiu, offering a polite nod with a smile. When his gaze landed on Bai Xiuxiu’s face, a brief flicker of amazement flashed through his eyes, and his pupils momentarily became vertical slits before quickly returning to normal.

The Lower Dragon immediately prostrated himself and respectfully announced, "Honorable High Lord, this is my young master, the Young City Lord of Fenglong City. Upon hearing of your presence at the auction, my young master hurried over to meet you."

Bai Xiuxiu glanced at the Young City Lord without speaking, merely tilting her chin up slightly. A natural chill emanated from her presence.

The Young City Lord showed no sign of displeasure at her cold demeanor. With a wave of his hand, the Lower Dragon quietly retreated from the room.

He then casually took a seat on the sofa beside Bai Xiuxiu. "I apologize for the sudden intrusion. My human name is Huang Yuanlang. Upon learning of your arrival, I was delighted and came over without delay. I hope you don’t mind. May I ask your name, fair lady?"

Hearing his words, Lan Xuanyu was a little surprised. Even in the Douluo Federation, few people spoke in such a refined and formal manner. This Young City Lord had the demeanor of a well-mannered gentleman.

Bai Xiuxiu turned her head slightly and replied curtly, "Xiu."

"Just one character? Human names are usually composed of two or three characters. How about I call you Xiuxiu? What do you think?" Huang Yuanlang said with a smile. "The beauty of the human form is something those lesser species fail to appreciate, but we Dragon find it quite admirable. In fact, the human body structure is even more conducive to cultivation than that of our dragon race. For you to have attained human form is truly an impressive feat! I also heard that you displayed ice-elemental abilities today, giving those lesser beings quite a scare. The Blackbeard Clan members who offended you have already been captured—I leave their fate in your hands."

Huang Yuanlang’s tone was warm and engaging, and his smile never faded.
