Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4418: A Fiery Union

Chapter 4418: A Fiery Union
“…”

Davis didn’t know what this old man’s problem was. He would be quite troubled to have his hopes pinned on him when he didn’t even know who the other person was. Regardless-

“Even if you didn’t say that, I will still protect my Lea. Even if it weren’t for the phenomenon, my love for my wives is plain to see. It doesn’t matter if people laugh at me or ridicule me. I am determined to spend my life with them, love them, and protect them. This Anarchic Divergent’s life is dedicated to them.”

Davis chuckled, “You wouldn’t get another Anarchic Divergent like me elsewhere. It’s a bargain sale, so it would be great if all of you stopped trying to hurt us. Otherwise, feel free to have a taste of death at your own expense. I won’t make it any cheaper.”

“…”

The Realm Masters were glum.

He was basically telling them that they should not provoke him while he was still reasonable enough to talk to. Further aggravation would only cause them to die since he would show no mercy.

It wasn’t like they wanted to be hostile unless he really went crazy and started causing calamities. However, if given the chance, they would indeed kill him. This was the cultivation world. He had a resource that they wanted- which was karmic virtue.

They could only imagine what kind of godly karmic virtue they would obtain upon ending him. Regardless, even dreaming was difficult now since the Divine Emperor of Death had become so powerful.

Nonetheless, with the wedding ceremony over after they exchanged vows, Davis finally let the guests leave.

Naturally, they brought gifts.

They were all at Low-Level Empyrean Grade, but still, Empyrean Grade nevertheless. He was satisfied with it since he didn’t expect gifts in the first place anyway. After personally checking the gifts for strangeness and danger before organizing them, he wrapped up the event and sent away the guests one by one.

Finally, it was Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade who remained the last. He even gifted him a Peak-Level Empyrean Grade Treasure, so Davis was quite welcoming of him at the moment.

“Many thanks for coming to our wedding.”

Davis cupped his hands and gestured for him to go outside.

Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade nodded, “Today has been very eye-opening. If I knew this was possible, perhaps my life would’ve played out differently.”

“…?” Davis inclined his head in doubt.

“Never mind.” Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade waved his hand, “Just talking to myself. Today, I came here to battle you but with all those terrorizing acts by those villains, I presume you are no longer of the mind to battle but kill.”

“Pretty much.” Davis nodded.

He really had enough for this day.

“Alright, I’ll take my leave. If the opportunity presents itself, we’ll meet again.”

Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade cupped his hands and was about to leave when-

“Wait.”

Davis’s voice suddenly echoed, causing the other party to stop.

“I’m not sure whether to say it or not, but considering someone from the Fire Phoenix Clan wanted me dead more than the others, I’ll presume it’s the same with other clans. If you know an Azure Dragon who also has fire phoenix blood within, then tell that person to never look my way and maintain an appropriate distance from the woman of the Covenant.”

“Oh, you’re talking about Arcturus Rocksunder? Certainly, he has made some upheavals in the Azure Dragon Clan the moment he showed up, doing great things and shocking my Heavenshade Clan. He had long ascended to the Greater Realms, though. Rumor has it that he has become a Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon already.”

“Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon… a Grand Ancestral Magical Beast…”

Davis looked surprised.

Rocksunder’s son was born a magical beast despite being a child between a human and a fey. Usually, this would rarely happen, mostly between a human and fey with impure blood. However, in this case, both father and mother were pure bloods, and the progeny between them was a magical beast with nearly a perfect combination of dragon-phoenix blood.

If Arcturus Rocksunder’s cultivation path differed, it was presumed that he could’ve also become a Seven-Colored Phoenix during evolution, but he had become an Azure Dragon with a perfect blend of Fire Phoenix blood. He was a special variant even among them, so he was bound to raise some brows.

In any case, Davis didn’t feel Arcturus Rocksunder would take any action against him, even if it was for Saintess Lunaria. After all, public opinion right now was that Saintess Lunaria was a Divergent. She had hidden herself and was nowhere to be seen, but the Heaven’s Warriors had given her the temporary status of Divergent unless she revealed herself to explain herself.

Davis hoped that she didn’t go to the ruins without him.

Regardless, he nodded to Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade.

Everyone left, leaving Davis with his family.

The Azure Trees managed to hide their evolution with illusion arts and illusory artifacts. Levi Starchild was now bound to soar. Feeling slightly accomplished since most of the happenings went his way, Davis grinned before turning to look back and taking Lea’s hand.

Davis and Lea then moved to their nightly chamber after they were delivered by her sisters.

However, neither Davis nor Lea was in the mood to be quickly intimate.

They mindstormed as to what the blessing could be and why they had been bestowed such a thing. It was still incredulous for them, so after two whole hours, they came up with some conditions that they needed to meet in order to be given this blessing.

“As the most obvious one,” Davis opened his mouth, “As the voice said, we need to be able to think about each other in a way that we won’t hesitate to bring carnage in order to be together.”

Lea nodded, “Secondly, everyone or most of the people or the phoenix souls around us should disapprove of us being together.”

“Yes,” Davis nodded twice, “This matches with how the Supreme Everlasting Empyrean claimed that his marriage with his spouse wasn’t approved by others. Thirdly, we might’ve needed to have some history with the ancient phoenix spirit.”

“…” Lea took a deep breath.

Davis just revealed that he insulted the phoenix multiple times in his tribulation and incurred its wrath, so it would be bad karma. However, a good thing happened, making her confused and a bit scared.

“Still, how do you explain the Supreme Everlasting Empyrean’s wife meeting with the ancient phoenix spirit?” Lea asked.

Davis shrugged, “As a long-standing major power, the Seven-Colored Phoenix Clan should possess secret realms that may host their ancestor’s Wills. It shouldn’t be strange for them to summon the spirit of their Mythical Paragon Magical Beast using their special nirvanic abilities. In fact, I suspect that even though the Mythical Paragon Magical Beast Phoenix may have left this universe, its soul might still be able to reform here by virtue of nirvanic rebirth in its ultimate form.”

“…”

Lea sucked in a cold breath, her bosoms heaving.

Davis blinked as he saw her peaks. Since there was nothing to talk about anymore, he grabbed her shoulders gently and pushed her to the bed, wanting to feast.

Their intimacy lasted for two weeks straight, and halfway through, Lea got pregnant for the second time.
