Luke exchanged profiles with the Troll Devil as it was a puppet and thought in his mind. 'Let the carnage begin.' Right after he had made his appearance in Erebreth Tropical Jungle, his first target was Carl and Jasmine.

From then on he would continue till only a handful of people remained but that didn't mean they would remain unscathed.

Why he would do this, there was a motivation compelling him to do so, possibly him slowly detaching from his humanity and to establish a lesson to the rest.

As for the actual test itself, he had multiple ways around this.

He could make the artifacts himself with a snap of a finger using Overwrite, use his Omniscient perspective to locate the treasures and mind control the rest to find and collect them for him or something else if he would find it necessary.

'So glad I chose these skills.'

It didn't take long before he found Carl as they made their way towards a waterfall up in the mountains. They had a treasure seeking artifact and it led them here, not that it was forbidden to use any to begin with.

Carl was startled at first to see the Troll Devil blocking their path.

He had left before the Troll Devil had arrived so he was taken aback by his presence. "Get out of the way, whoever you are."

His order went unheard as the masked individual started moving towards them. Carl's mercenary former a barricade around him while the Troll Devil brandished the Edged Void.

They were all mesmerized by it and one of them spoke up, "That's one impressive sword. You wouldn't mind handing us taking care of it on your behalf."
