If Kane had figured out something from the behavior of his spirits, Max could only shake his head in helpless resignation. He didn’t want anyone knowing about his class—not yet. Still, he had to act calm.
“Master Kane, can you give me one of your spirits?” he asked lightly, masking his nervousness with a composed smile.
