Chapter 237: Intimacy Is Normal In This Household
The room exploded into stunned silence, the vulgarity of his words landing like a thunderbolt.
Aisha's jaw dropped, her tail puffing to comical proportions as her face flushed a deep crimson. Julie's composure cracked, her cheeks warming despite her best efforts, her mind reeling at the brazen admission.
Vivi's face itself turned so red she looked like a ripe tomato, her eyes brimming with tears as she grabbed Cassius's shirt and shook him, her voice a desperate, shaking wail.
"Young Master, why!?" She cried, her hands flailing as she tugged at him. "Why would you say that!? Why couldn't you just...just let me lie?!"
"Oh my god, I'm so embarrassed! You told them what I was actually doing! I can't, I can't even look at anyone now!"
Her voice cracked, tears spilling down her cheeks as she buried her face in his chest again, her shoulders shaking with humiliated sobs.
Cassius chuckled, his hand stroking her back in a soothing rhythm. "There, there, Vivi." He said, his voice warm and reassuring. "No one hates you. But you can't go telling lies like that it's a sin, you know. God won't forgive you for fibbing, especially not when the truth's so...straightforward."
His smile was teasing, but his gaze flicked to Julie and Aisha, as if daring them to ask more about the truth further.
Vivi's head snapped up, her tear-filled face twisting with indignation.
"A sin? Young Master, even God would let me lie about this!" She cried, her voice high and desperate. "It's too embarrassing! Anyone would lie in this situation! I can't...I can't even show my face in public now! Everyone's going to think I'm some...some perverted girl who hides under desks for fun!" She shook him again, her hands gripping his shirt as if she could shake the truth back into hiding. "Why couldn't you just say I was...I don't know, organizing papers or something? Anything but that!"
Hearing this, Aisha's tail flicked, her voice sharp with exasperation.
"Organizing papers? Vivi, you're in a dress that's practically a napkin, and you were under his desk doing...that! There's no way we'd believe you were filing paperwork!" She turned to Cassius, her eyes blazing. "And you! You think this is funny? Admitting something so...so vulgar like it's just another day? What's wrong with you?!"
Cassius leaned back casually, his smile unshaken as he held Vivi close.
"Oh, Aisha, you're so dramatic." He said, his tone light but teasing. "It's not vulgar, it's just...a bit of fun between two people who love one another."
"...And Vivi's here because she wants to be, and I'm not forcing her to do anything, so I don't see the problem." He glanced down at her, his voice softening as he brushed a tear from her cheek.
"But how do I know that, Cassius?!" Aisha couldn't help but ask in a fluster. "How am I supposed to believe that when all I see is a girl crying like she was wronged?!...Looking at this scene it only feels like you're bullying the poor girl!"
Hearing this, Vivi's heart raced, her mind a whirlwind of panic. Julie and Aisha's insistence on the truth was a looming threat, one that could unravel everything.
She thought that if she didn't make it clear that she'd acted willingly, that she'd chosen to please her Young Master, the Holy Guard might drag Cassius away, accuse him of coercion or worse.
And the thought of losing him, of seeing him punished for her actions, was unbearable, so despite the shame burning through her, she summoned her courage, twisting in Cassius's lap to face the trio.
Her voice trembled, high and flustered, as she blurted out to everyone's surprise.
"No wait, don't blame him, since I-I was the one who wanted to do it! Not the Young Master! He didn't force me, I swear!" Her eyes darted between Julie and Aisha, pleading for them to believe her. "He just...he dropped some hints, teased me a little, but I chose to crawl under there! I wanted to make him happy, to please him, because...because I love him!"
"...Please, don't think he made me do anything! It was all me!"
Julie let out a quiet sigh, her shoulders relaxing slightly, relief mingling with a deeper embarrassment. Vivi's words confirmed there was no coercion, no dark manipulation at play, but the innocence of her confession, the way this pure, earnest girl had been drawn into such an act by Cassius's charm, only heightened Julie's unease.
She glanced at Cassius, her expression full of disapproval and resignation, wondering how he wielded such influence over someone so innocent.
Cassius, sensing Vivi's distress, couldn't resist probing further. With a playful grin, he scooped her closer, his hands resting boldly on her hips as he pulled her against him, eliciting a small squeak from her.
"Vivi, my dear." He said, his voice low and teasing. "Why'd you admit the truth just now? You were so ready to spin that tale about a quill and a nail. What made you come clean, hmm?" His tone was warm, almost affectionate, but there was a glint of curiosity in his expression as he studied her flushed face.
Vivi's cheeks burned brighter, her hands clutching his shirt as she looked up at him, her voice trembling with sincerity. "I...I had to." She whispered, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "If I didn't tell the truth, they might've thought you forced me. They might've taken you away, and I...I couldn't bear that."
Her voice cracked, her gaze locked on his.
"I'd rather die of shame than see you punished for something you didn't do. It'd hurt so much more to lose you, Young Master...I love you too much for that." Her words were raw, her devotion laid bare.
Cassius's grin softened into something warmer, his eyes sparkling with genuine delight.
"Oh, Vivi!" He said, his voice brimming with affection as he hugged her tightly, lifting her slightly off his lap to shake her gently, like a treasured doll. "Oh, my baby girl, I love you so much! You're too cute, too perfect for my own good!" He laughed, a bright, joyous sound that filled the room, his arms wrapping around her as he nuzzled her cheek. "You're too good to me, you know that? My heart's gonna burst!"
Vivi squeaked, her flush deepening as she squirmed in his embrace, her voice a flustered whine.
"Young Master, stop! People are watching!" She protested, though a small, happy smile tugged at her lips, her embarrassment mingling with the warmth of his affection. "You can't be so...so loving right now! It's too much!" She glanced at the trio, her cheeks burning as she realized they were still staring, and ducked her head against his shoulder.
Cassius chuckled, pulling back just enough to look at her, his hand gently caressing her cheek. "Oh Vivi, you don't have to be embarrassed since what had just occurred is nothing to be ashamed of." He said, his voice soothing but firm. "You see, the Holy Guard, they're like family to me. So you don't need to be embarrassed about sharing our little secrets with them...They're too close to us to mind, really." His smile was reassuring, his tone carrying a quiet confidence that seemed to anchor her.
Vivi peeked up at him, her brows furrowing with doubt.
"No way." She said, her voice soft but skeptical. "There's no way they're okay with...with this! You're just saying that to make me feel better, aren't you?" Her eyes darted to Julie and Aisha, then back to Cassius, searching for any hint of a lie.
Cassius shook his head, his smile turning mischievous.
"Not at all, Vivi, It's the absolute truth." He said, his voice brimming with conviction. "Why, even Isabelle, your beautiful older sister, my lovely maid, the one who's been taking care of you since you arrived has had her own...passionate moments with me, right in front of these three." He glanced at Isabelle, his tone teasing but expectant. "Isn't that right, Isabelle?"
Isabelle's hands fidgeted with her apron, her cheeks flushing as she nodded, her voice soft but clear. "It's...true." She admitted, her eyes darting to Vivi, who stared at her in open-mouthed shock. "The Young Master and I...we were, um, together one night, and the Holy Guard...they were there. It was embarrassing, but...it happened." She offered Vivi a shy smile, as if to reassure her, though her flush deepened at the memory.
Vivi gasped, her hands flying to her mouth.
"Big sisterIsabelle? You?" She squeaked, her voice high with disbelief. "You of all people?! Y-You're such a sweet angel, always helping me, making me feel at home, and you...you did that? In front of them?" Her eyes widened, her mind reeling at the thought of her kind, bright caretaker and her first friend in such a scandalous moment.
Cassius's grin widened as he then turned to Portia, who stiffened slightly, sensing her turn.
"And Portia..." He said, his voice playful but pointed. "Remember that time I...I sucked on your breasts? Right in front of the entire Holy Guard? They all watched, didn't they?"
Portia coughed, adjusting her glasses with a practiced calm, though a faint blush crept up her neck. "Yes, it's true." She said, her voice steady but tinged with embarrassment. "It was...unexpected, but it happened. The Holy Guard was present, and...well, they saw it." She glanced at Vivi, her expression softening as if to ease the girl's shock.
Vivi's jaw dropped, her voice a stunned whisper.
"Big sister Portia, too?! You're always so...so proper! And you let him...in front of them?" She shook her head, her mind spinning as she tried to reconcile the composed, studious maid with such an act.
"Hold on a second!" Aisha, unable to stay silent, pointed at Cassius, her tail lashing as her voice rose with indignation. "You're bringing up those moments like they were some fun little memory, but we didn't want to see that!"
She snapped, her cheeks still flushed from the earlier revelations.
"We were forced to stand there, Cassius! We had no choice because you just...do whatever you want, and we're stuck witnessing it!" Her claws flared, her voice sharp with frustration. "Don't act like we were happy to watch you and your maids! It was mortifying!"
"Forced or not, Aisha, you're still here, aren't you?" Cassius leaned back, his smile unshaken as he waved a hand dismissively.
"You didn't run screaming, didn't drag Isabelle or Portia away for their 'scandalous' behavior. You stayed, you worked with us, and you're not judging them now, are you? That's my point." He turned to Vivi, his hand gently caressing her cheek, his voice softening. "That's what I'm trying to tell you, Vivi. Intimacy, affection, it's just part of this household. And the Holy Guard, they're like an extension of us. They've seen it all, and they're still here. You don't need to feel ashamed."
Vivi's eyes searched his, her trembling easing as his sincerity sank in. His confidence, his calm assurance, worked like a balm on her frayed nerves. "You...you really mean that?" She whispered, her voice small but hopeful. "They won't...hate me? They won't think I'm...bad?"
Cassius smiled, his thumb brushing her cheek.
"Not at all, my dear." He said softly. "You're part of this family now, and so are they. No one's judging you." His gaze flicked to Julie. "Right, Captain?"
Julie, her authority unshaken despite the flush on her cheeks, felt a surge of disapproval at Cassius's brazen behavior. She wanted to speak her mind, to tell him that what he'd done with Vivi was utterly inappropriate, that an office was no place for such intimacy, that he should take his antics to a bedroom and spare them all the spectacle.
But as her gaze met Vivi's, the girl's wide, hopeful eyes brimming with a desperate need for acceptance, Julie's resolve wavered. She couldn't shame Vivi further, not when the girl was already drowning in embarrassment. To save her dignity, Julie swallowed her words and coughed, her voice measured but gentle.
"Vivi..." She said, clearing her throat. "This...wasn't the ideal situation, but these things happen. We barged in at an unfortunate time, and that's on us." She forced a reassuring smile, though her mind churned with suspicion.
Cassius had let them in while this was happening, had he planned it, orchestrated this chaos to tease them all?
"You don't need to be too embarrassed." She continued, her tone softening. "You're not at fault here. We should've announced ourselves properly." Her words were a lifeline for Vivi, but inwardly, Julie seethed at Cassius, certain his lustfulness was a calculated weapon.
Even Skadi, now free of her fish, piped up with her usual carefree candor, her tail wagging as she grinned at Vivi.
"Yeah, it's no big deal!" She said, her voice bright and unbothered. "And you know, I knew what was goin' on under that desk the moment we walked in. The sounds of licking and sucking were kinda obvious, y'know?" She shrugged, as if discussing the weather. "But I didn't care. It's just you and the Young Master lovin' each other."
"...My mama also always said, if you see a couple kissin' in public, just mind your own business and let 'em be. So, frail human girl, don't worry about it!"
She beamed at Cassius, seeking his approval for her words, and when he gave her a nod and a warm smile, her tail wagged harder, her chest puffing with pride at having helped.
What do you think?
