She seemed to enjoy the process, pacing back and forth, from one side of the room to the other, repeating this until she finally arrived at the window.

The curtains were stirred by the night wind, the silent breeze brushed against her face. Amanda’s eyelashes fluttered slightly, and at last, a faint smile broke across her face.

Then she closed her eyes, spread her arms, and pried open the crack of the window, allowing more wind to gush into the room.

In this moment, it was hard to tell whether she was basking in the serenity of the night or embracing the world itself.

If Roger were standing here, he would certainly notice the oddities in Amanda.

The same features, the same expressions, the familiar shell of her body. Yet, looking into her eyes, anyone close to Amanda would unflinchingly regard her as a stranger.

Centering herself, Amanda returned to the edge of the bed. She overlapped her hands into a peculiar gesture, a flash of brilliance shone in her eyes, but nothing happened.

Frowning slightly, Amanda sighed soundlessly.

She cycled through several gestures in succession, but the result remained unchanged.

She spread her hands open, interlaced her fingers, and then slowly separated them.

What followed was an eerie scene.

Though Amanda’s hands remained intertwined, a slight tremor stirred at the edges of her arms.

Gradually, two shadowy figures emerged.

They were two brand-new arms, seemingly insubstantial. Moments later, the newly formed limbs raised upwards and cast a fresh gesture.

At last, Amanda displayed a satisfied smile.

Her frame slightly quaked as she reverted to her natural state, stepping forward and instantly passing through the window to the outside.

Her whole figure seemed to meld with the night, like a weightless leaf drifting far along the wind.
