Chapter 1189: Convincing The Demonic Faction (Part 2)
The Demonic Clan had been pretty silent so far, but it was the first time that murmurs had started amongst the clan leaders.
"The Empire, they are the strongest force among the Civilians." One of the clan heads commented. "They are also located in the Light Faction, their relationship is certainly closer then anything any of us have with them, so it's not a stretch."
"But them getting involved would they really do that wouldn't it break the pact?"
This was the specific word that was floating among the members, the word that was being used, Pact. It was everyone's worry and something that even as crazy as the Demonic Clan members were, something that they had kept in line with as well.
"Right, if the pact is broken, we will have more to worry about then the Light Faction. It feels like these words that are being spoken, are just being said to worry us, and to get us into a fight."
"Right!" Another shouted in support. "In the first place, we aren't the only ones that need to comply with the pact. If the pact is broken on their end to their will be trouble."
Everyone spoke in agreement, and the words Rayna had spoken had the opposite effect. Rather than frightening them of a possible attack heading their way, they were frightened to be the ones to break such a thing.
"Enough!" A loud voice shouted over all of them. This time it wasn't a voice that had come from Rayna. When they looked at who had spoken it was from Fing.
"We lose our men, we lose those close to us, and this is the reaction of the Demonic Faction, that is meant to put the strength of power above all?" Fing's look among the leaders, it was as if he was truly sick to his stomach.
"Those that died today, how would they feel to hear these type of words come out of your mouth. I know every single one of them would be rolling in their grave.
"They already gave up their life, and now, were not willing to do the same, when we know the enemy that is in front of us? The pact, the pact, who gives a Fuck about the pact!"
There was true anger and frustration in Fing's voice. His words, some of the Demonic faction members found themselves embarrassed for thinking such things. It truly wasn't the way of the Demonic Clan.
When they thought about those they lost and a clear path to get vengeance it did rile them up, but it was also quite clear that not all of them were convinced.
When people and individuals were pushed into a corner. There was one clear feeling that would be placed in their minds and heads, no matter how hard they tried to train it out of them, it was survivability.
The Demonic Clans had already been hit hard, and this move could be the end of the Demonic Clan. They had the most to lose in this situation, it felt like.
"I can confirm to you all the empire is on the move." Lince added in. "They will come, with the powerful artifacts and items, and powers that they used today, and they will attack you.
"You can either do this together to fight against them, or we can do it apart. When they come, you will be on your own, and the odds of you surviving any type of attack like that are low.
"I will tell you all now, if they attack you, and you don't go on this mission, no one is protecting you. The Demonic Clan isn't known for its alliances within the clan in the first place, but this will be the one chance to fight together and not turn your back."
Lince words and his support as one of the big three meant a lot, and they had swayed even more to agree. The wave appeared to be turning in their direction again, but the murmur was strong especially among those that were older who had never broken the pact.
"If the Pact is your main worry then what are you worried about?" Dame asked. "I'm sure you all heard it before right, this isn't the first time the pact was broken, and the person who had broken it is still alive till this day.
"I'm talking about the Dark Magus, in the town of Flendon. Nothing had happened despite him even besting battle against a king!"
Due to the current events that had occurred everyone had been focusing on what had happened now, that they had almost forgotten. It was true one of the kingdoms had attacked the Town of Flendon, in defence the Dark Magus hadn't cared for the rules and attacked back.
There was no retaliation which led to the talk among people wondering if the pact was something that was even real between people or not.
Hearing the strength of the Dark Magus and knowing that he was the one leading them, all of these points were adding up, and it was convincing the Demonic Faction.
"The Demonic Faction are a hard bunch to convince, honestly maybe the current situation is the only thing that could have swayed them all over." Lince said.
"Where is the Dark Magus!" One Clan leader eventually shouted out, among the wave of agreement. "This important matter shouldn't we have him here in front of us?
"He should be the one that is leading this charge. Yet he isn't by your side. It's hard to even know if he is an alley in all of this. How do we know that he will be the one fighting by our side.
"There's a chance if we fight against the light faction and empire, that the wrath of the Divine realm will fall on us."
The others hearing this started to nod and speak in agreement.
"If they come down, then I will make sure they get out of my way. I will take down all that can in my way, until the enemy is taken down."
The group turned to where the voice was coming from, and they could see a man in a long straight blazer in appearance at the top, with a straight out flowy bottom like that of a robe and a trench coat.
A specific helmet was held in his hands by his side, but they all knew who it was, it was the Dark Magus.
