Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Chapter 421 – Aiko and Business

The group session ended with Aiko showing everyone into her Tails.

This made Lian quite literally faint, standing upright. How was it possible that a single Fox could house so many living beings?! She couldn't understand it...

That thing aside, everyone was concerned about the army that the young Fox was raising.

Every Demonic Fox without insanity was exceptionally intelligent or fast at learning things.

This allowed them to clear the necessities and immediately go practise their given occupation.

The hardest at work were Sound Cultivators, as even a single sound out of them could hurt not just everyone around them, but also themselves.

There were many prerequisites to becoming a Sound Cultivator, the main one would be control over your energy.

If just a tiny bit more energy leaked into the zither, it would be devastating to everyone around them.

Being a Sound Cultivator was a wonderful thing. Pretty much every Cultivator would worship you for your obscenely destructive power, but at the same time, fear you for the same reason.

Sound Cultivators were powerful double-edged swords. As such, they required a lot more practice than your common Cultivation Path.

"Everything is so complex." Aiko didn't like Sound Cultivation, since it sounded like another headache that only Moon Aiko would be able to deal with.

"We will practise safety first so that we will not burden our Mistress." Brave Passion bowed slightly, and the other Sound Cultivator Foxes bowed with her.

"Fine. I won't ask about what you need for now as we will be moving later." Aiko didn't store Brave Passion and her group just yet, since she was the leader.

She had to report her findings and everything else so that everything worked like a well-oiled mill.

...

Finishing her business with Brave Passion, Aiko turned towards the rest of them.

"We have Fang Jie, Jia, Lian, Nightingale and a few shadows..." Aiko counted them. "Just keep quiet so that I don't have to become your enemy." She suddenly smiled.

"That's obvious." Lian rolled her eyes with a still slightly throbbing forehead. 'Nobody would dare to antagonise an army of Demonic Foxes.

At best everyone could only suppress them, but they couldn't be controlled by Soul or Mind Techniques, even most curses were shrugged off like they were nothing!

That bothered Lian since the only defence against Demonic Foxes would be to either drug them or kill them.

By this point they pretty much worshipped Aiko, which was not a bad thing, but also not a good thing.

Lian was concerned that one of the stupid servants could anger her and make her hate the Heavenly Treasure Pavilion and with her plans about the Massage Chair, it was obvious that the Heavenly Massage Parlour would go under.

Well, they would have to scrap the 'Heavenly' out of their name, since it would no longer be the best thing Cultivators could seek.

"On another note, do you have some kind of beastclopedia?" Aiko tilted her head.

"Beast-what?" Lian couldn't understand that word.

"Some kind of book about beasts and their most basic traits?" Aiko tilted her head.

She was looking for some kind of Beast that would be as large as an island, could swim, fly and walk, while also protecting itself from harm.

That's right! Aiko was planning to build a flying Fort- Massage Chair Business!

She would be able to move her business whenever she would go, which would allow for quick maintenance.

Aiko also understood humans' greedy nature, which would prompt them to seek her flying Massage Chair Business no matter where she would go.

'And if I invite Old Ming...' Aiko chuckled. Not only would it become a flying Massage Chair, but also a flying restaurant!

"She is scary..." Fang Jia saw the manically giggling Aiko and shivered.

"That's just how some Foxes are..." Fang Jie had vacant eyes, like she already experienced something like this...

"She is indeed scary..." Lian had this nudging feeling that many businesses would go under with Aiko around...

...

Lian guided Aiko into a certain library. "This library was created by Human Hunters, in order to record Beasts' nature and their quirks."

"So that they can be easily hunted, huh?" Aiko clicked her tongue.

"Indeed." Lian nodded unhappily, but this was necessary information.

"You can read anything in this room, but nothing in the other rooms." Lian explained to Aiko.

"That is fine by me." Aiko nodded, not minding that.

She picked up the first 'book' and sat down. This would be a long research.

...

......

.........

'There are only a few Beasts that would match what I want if I don't include the exceptionally rare ones.' Moon Aiko frowned. She was weighing her chances on how likely it was that she would be able to find those Beasts that would be perfect for her current situation, and she could only come up with a few.

"Roc's can house large buildings, but they still need to rest." Aiko believed that with a few adjustments, they would be able to stay in the skies forever, but there were other issues.

"Defence is impossible, and the offence would damage the buildings." Aiko clicked her tongue.

That left her with only one good option. Rare Earth Turtle.

It's a mixture of sea and earth variants but with a few important points.

1. Their shell can be both low and even or tall and spiky.

Aiko would be able to choose if she would go for the 'Peak' version of her business, or nice meadow.

2. They can 'swim' on land.

Those kinds of turtles could move the land like it was water, allowing them to keep their speed. Their defence would likewise rise to absurd numbers.

3. Their shell doesn't move much, and it's sturdy, making everything easier to defend.

This was very important since Aiko planned to create special buildings attuned to Qi and Elements.

4. Docile Nature

Aiko wouldn't have as hard time taming them or teaching them not to do certain things.

'Like barrel rolls.' Aiko dreaded that part. All her hard work would be drowned or compressed.

There were a few other points, but these were the best points Aiko could make at the moment.

It was definitely not because Earth Turtles were herbivores!

Aiko closed the last 'book'. It was hard work researching everything, but the hardest part was yet to come.

She had to find an Earth Turtle that was willing to be made into a transportation turtle.

Of course Aiko would give it benefits, but Earth Turtles liked to dive into water/earth, which would abuse her business and customers too much...

...

Walking outside, Aiko was greeted by pouting Fang Jia.

"What is it?" Aiko tilted her head.

"We are spending time together now." She pouted even more when she saw Aiko's confused expression.

"You spent two weeks inside!" Fang Jia didn't know if she should be upset at her or concerned for her...

"Oh..." Moon Aiko blinked with a startled expression. That was indeed a lot of time for Aiko, who wished to return as soon as possible.

"We can hang out." Aiko still needed to finish her Cauldron, so this was an important part.

"Don't even think about talking about 'that' until I'm satisfied!" Fang Jia pouted even more.

"Oh..." Aiko pursed her lips.

"Don't give me that!" Fang Jia cried out, while she didn't like light Aiko as much, her expressions were still adorable for her.

"Ugh, fine. We can talk about it a little bit, but don't make it the main topic!" Fang Jia yielded like rice paper without any resistance.

Aiko smiled happily, which made Fang Jia groan even more. 'I told you she is a vixen.'

'Rich coming from someone who has been asleep for years.' Fang Jia clicked her tongue. Her annoying ring was back from sleep.

'You shouldn't-' The voice inside the ring tried to say something, but Fang Jia took it off of her body.

"Can you do me a favour?" Fang Jia asked Aiko.

"What is it?" Aiko paused her steps.

"Please take this and throw it as far as possible!" Fang Jia smiled from ear to ear.

'No!' The voice inside the ring suddenly yelped. 'I'm sorry, okay! Don't throw me away, please!' She pleaded with Fang Jia about this, since she was very compatible with her.

As such, the Soul inside the ring didn't need to squeeze her dry just to recover a bit of strength.

'You will be silent unless it's important or I ask you a question.' Fang Jia narrowed her eyes.

Aiko tilted her head at Fang Jia, who stood still. 'Some kind of strange equipment?' She was curious about it, but not curious enough to ask Fang Jia about it.

'I swear!' The voice inside the ring had to yield, otherwise she would not be able to finish repairing her Soul Body.

"Sorry, it seems I mistook this one for something else." Fang Jia giggled happily for some reason.

Aiko felt slightly strange, but she still just nodded.

'She has suspicions about this ring.' The voice inside the ring said briefly before keeping quiet. She wouldn't maintain this status as long as the vixen was around!

...

Aiko lay on the bed with Fang Jia, and around them were Jade Slips with smithing forging and Forging Cultivation Path.

It was quite extensive, but neither of them were in a hurry.

Aiko was slowly and gently scratching Fang Jia's back to make her less pouty.

'Maybe I should get Massage Skill and put her to sleep?' Aiko still remembered how well she slept with the help of the Blood Fox.

But she dismissed that thought for the time being.

'I still need her input. It wouldn't be very productive if I put her to sleep.' Aiko sighed softly. It would be troublesome if her only source of reliable information was asleep.

"How about I return the favour?" Fang Jia's eyes sparkled with mischief.

Aiko paused her reading. "Are you sure? I thought you would like to keep going like this?" She didn't believe her at all.

"That's true, but I also wanted to (take revenge on you) help you~" Fang Jia smiled 'innocently'.

Aiko tilted her head. "Sure?"

'Hehemuhahahaha.' Fang Jia laughed inside her mind. 'Allow me to show you the power of my mum's knowledge and my fingers!'

Contrary to what most might believe, forging was all about finger work and your imagination, especially if you wanted to put in the finishing touches.

As such, Fang Jia's dexterity was much higher than usual!

'I will make you regret not spending more time with me!' Fang Jia smiled with mischief.
