Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Chapter 415 – Aiko, the newly appointed poison prodigy!

Chapter 415 – Aiko, the newly appointed poison prodigy!

Aiko kept going like this. There were now several ways in which she could manipulate those poisons.

The easiest way was when the poison was 'foggy', in other words, it was not seated anywhere in her body, and it kept changing locations. This was also one of the harder poisons to cure, since it was harder to detect.

The middle road was when the poison was in the bloodstream. It was more or less like the 'foggy' poison, but a bit harder to manipulate.

Aiko couldn't concentrate that poison into one place, since it would block the veins. The easiest way to take it out was to 'bleed' the system, but that couldn't be used often.

Why? Well, if you are low on blood... You get the idea.

The third way was to seal the poison. Aiko was not really successful in this since sealing was difficult.

If the poison was not moved out of the organs, it would impede their function. The seal would help it from getting worse, but the organs would likewise not get any better.

Moving the poison into one place inside the body would allow her to seal it, and the person with the poison inside their body would get better over time. Later, she would be able to unseal it, and the Cultivator would be able to deal with it with Qi and Pills, or other methods.

As such, Aiko could successfully only seal poisons she could move, or rather, that was the only way to gain most from the transaction.

Not moving the poison could also result in organ failure. You are, in theory, sealing part of their organ with it, since you couldn't move it away.

Aiko shook her head gently. This was difficult stuff to do, but fortunately, she had plenty of 'willing' research participants.

"I didn't think you would be good at this." Lian felt slightly speechless at how the young Fox operated.

"I'm not that good." Nightmare Aiko knew that if it were Moon Aiko, she would be able to move the poison even if it was deep inside the tissue or bones.

Of course, it was no different for their body, since Nightmare Aiko doesn't have as good control as Moon Aiko.

"You are suddenly humble." Lian was more and more confused about this young Fox.

Aiko rolled her eyes. She was not humble, it was a definitive fact that Moon Aiko ruled when it came to control, while Nightmare Aiko ruled in battles.

Nightmare Aiko had many battle-oriented Abilities, while Moon Aiko was the observant thinker.

...

"I think I can try the Inscription Poison now." Aiko suddenly said. While she was not confident enough to move it, she at least wanted to see what kind of poison it was.

"Sure." Lian had many Inscription Cultivators afflicted by that poison, so it was not an issue.

...

An Elder came into the prison, where some kind of young Fox conducted her research.

'I have heard that she was beautiful and that Fang Jia was trying to curry her favour.' The Elder was well-informed, since he was the Peak Elder of the Inscription Peak of the Heavenly Treasure Pavilion.

Why was he coming instead of some kind of low-class Inscription Cultivator?

'I hate how weak my body became... I can't live with this!' The Peak Elder was enraged at how much his cultivation had stagnated, especially when it came to Inscription Cultivation.

"Elder??" Lian stared speechlessly at the stubborn fool.

"Don't stare at me like that, little Lian. We both know this is necessary." The Peak Elder believed that it was better to use his life as material, instead of young'uns.

"..." Lian frowned, but she knew that she couldn't move this stubborn fool.

"Another grandpa?" Aiko felt like she was attracting too many of them lately.

This one was not dressed in lavish clothing, but in simple white clothing. It gave him a sage-like appearance and the wisdom of the ages.

The Peak Elder chuckled and sat down.

Aiko didn't dwell too much on it, and her eyes quickly changed.

Unlike the normal reaction, she always got. This elderly man was calm and collected.

'Oh shit! Oh fuck! Why is she so scary!' The Peak Elder cried inside his mind and almost fainted, sitting upright. He didn't expect this young one to be so...

Aiko tilted her head. 'How strange...' Unlike the other poisons, this one didn't show on her 'green' spectrum, but on the 'black' spectrum.

'The only time I got this reaction was with the Qilin girl...' Aiko narrowed her eyes.

"Can we get the Qilin girl back for a moment?" Aiko asked the Patriarch.

"Sure." Lian was confused, but didn't mind calling them back.

"Patriarch." Unfortunately, only the brother came.

"I want your sister here, now." Lian commanded.

"My apologie-" The brother wanted to interject, but Lian would naturally have none of it.

"Fine, I will do it myself." Lian sighed. Just because she was infatuated with Fang Jie, many Cultivators no longer took her seriously.

It seemed like she would have to do a few more purges until they understood and took her words seriously.

She disappeared and reappeared with the girl, gently placing her on a chair near the Peak Elder.

Another Elder ran into the prison, breathing harshly.

"Patriarch, you can't just take my patient away from me." The Alchemy Peak Elder was an old grandma.

She had white and green clothing, which was refreshing in this black and red prison. Her scent was also gentle and quite addictive.

"You can continue here. This is important." Aiko interjected as she noticed that the Qilin girl had less 'black' stuff inside her.

The Alchemy Peak Elder wanted to scold the young Fox, but seeing the Patriarch not say anything...

'Is something wrong with this young Fox?' The Alchemy Peak Elder felt something amiss, so she didn't go out of her comfort zone.

She didn't like to scold others, only when it was absolutely necessary.

"I was just detoxifying her. It could've waited." The Alchemy Peak Elder grumbled. She was a really cute grandma.

Aiko observed the girl and the grandpa. Neither of them was in good condition, but the girl was recovering quickly.

'Detoxification... was it?' Aiko tilted her head. She was not as smart as Moon Aiko, so she would just gather the necessary components for her.

"Is there something wrong?" Lian frowned.

"I think." Aiko nodded. "I would have to ask her later, but can we use Herbs and stuff?" She knew a bit about detoxifying Pills, but it was important to find the right one for this one.

"We?" Lian tilted her head, and the young Fox's hair changed to 'white' again.

Lian pursed her lips. 'Is this the 'we'?' She thought she understood what the young Fox meant.

"What do you need it for?" Lian didn't want to splurge resources without a good reason.

"It doesn't have the same reaction as other poisons, so I'm thinking of a different approach." Moon Aiko said. "While the reaction and how it behaves are closer to poison, other components are not. As such, my Ability does not work on it. I would like to use Herbs to figure out the origin, and then you would be able to do the rest." She didn't want to spend too much time on it, since she had already been here for quite some time.

Lian's lips twitched. She couldn't get used to these changes in demeanour.

"You can use it. Alchemy Peak Elder will also assist you." Lian said.

Peak Elders in this place were not called by their names, since they would change quite often.

Every 6 months, there was a small tournament between Peak Elders and Elders to see if Peak Elders still had the prowess to keep their position.

Lian got tired of remembering all their names, since they changed so frequently. As such, she proclaimed that she would only use the 'place' as their name.

Thus, Alchemy Peak Elder.

"Sure." Moon Aiko didn't have any problems with this, since there were better Alchemy Cultivators out there.

She also never tried any kind of detoxification, as Mei told her it was quite dangerous.

If you detoxify too quickly, the thing you tried to detoxify could rebound harshly, injuring the user.

However, if you tried to do it too slowly, the thing would try to protect itself from being detoxified, gaining immunity to the detoxification.

As such, you had to accurately strike a balance between those things, and Aiko couldn't bother with that.

None of her companions needed it as they kept their Beast Cores somewhat pure, and if they got a bit worse, Mei always cooked something up.

Moon Aiko yawned. "But tomorrow. I already did too much work today." She stretched gently, and her loose clothing suddenly adjusted itself.

A small spider peeked out of her clothing before hiding inside again.

Lian thought that she saw something, but it must've been her imagination.

'She was able to cure 67 Disciples. Diagnosed 146 prisoners and only killed 14 of them.' Lian thought that the young Fox was overdoing it, since it had already been a few days since they entered this place.

Everyone stayed completely still for days, because her work was that mesmerising. Her sensual hands waved slowly in front of her body, making certain parts shake in return.

It was a beautiful melody, no matter the gender.

"Sure, have some rest." Lian smiled slightly, and a few guards alongside Peak Elders almost coughed up their intestines.

The cruel and unforgiving Patriarch smiling?! Does she want this young Fox as a companion? She only smiled at that one Fox, and now there is another?!

They had so many questions, yet nobody dared to ask them.

The wrath of the Patriarch would be severe, and they didn't want to get caught in it.

"You can take your sister away. It seems she helped greatly." Lian dismissed everyone, but still took notice of the Qilin girl.

'I wonder what that old fogey will say once he knows his daughter is fine.' Lian didn't want to lock his daughter in here, but this place had incredible suppressing abilities when it came to curses and poisons.

That Qilin girl had both curse and poison inside her, or rather, it was Cursed Poison.

As long as the poison was inside her, the curse would reapply itself again and again.

The curse was the rebound of the poison and the transformation of the body.

In other words, even if you located that poison, unless you had a powerful Taoist and Alchemist working in sync, you would be unable to get rid of that poison.

Yet that young Fox only slightly injured that girl and got rid of that poison. She could be called a prodigy when it came to poisons...

'Maybe I should reward her a bit more so that Jia wouldn't get the butt treatment?' Lian pondered on this and she thought it was a good idea.
