Ch 39 - Vidyut saves Era's life

When dark clouds were hovering in the sky, a strong lightning struck the wolf, tearing through the sky. The wolf was unable to recover from the sudden attack and the lightning struck him directly. Due to this sudden attack, a painful scream and roar came out of his mouth.
When everyone in the group saw that unknown boy, they all looked at him in surprise for a moment. Ira was also looking at the boy who had attacked the wolf and was standing in front of her wearing a red robe.
He had a gold coloured spear seven meters long in his hand. Ira was surprised and confused as to who this boy was.
It was difficult to guess his age because of his clothes because at that time the boy's face was not towards IRA. During the attack this boy in red clothes was standing with his back towards them.
Seeing one of his companions injured in this way, a wolf roared loudly and said, "Who are you?" "How dare you attack my companion!" and roared at the boy in red clothes.
When all the members of the group ate, they were shocked. Then one of them said in panic, "This, this can't happen! This is a rank three wolf. We can't defeat it. We will all die. Run away from here, or else we will all die."
On this a tall boy from the same group said, 'Shut up. You being a warrior are talking like this? If you want to run away, you can. I will not stop you, but I will not leave the battlefield and run away.'
This tall fair boy was none other than Dhruv Mahajan. Then Dhruv said, "Ira, are you okay?" When Ira looked, her attention went towards her group mate and she too nodded in agreement.
Then the fair boy said, "Thank you very much for saving my friend's life. On this the boy looked back and said, 'What kind of thanks, Dhruv bhai? You said that we are friends.
It doesn't feel good to say thank you to a friend. But right now we are in trouble. This part of the forest is infested with these wolves. We have to get out of here as soon as possible because all their companions will come and then we won't be able to face them."
Then the wolf, whose hatred for electricity could clearly be seen in his eyes, roared loudly and signaled to his companions.
As soon as he signaled, the remaining twelve wolves surrounded him from all sides. The eyes of those wolves were bloodshot and they did not want to let anyone go from there.
When Ira saw that the boy in red clothes was none other than Vidyut, a smile came on his face. Just then a snake crawling on the ground came there and bared its poisonous teeth and looked at the leader of the wolves.
When the wolf leader and the group saw this, they started retreating and roaring loudly, they started leaving from there. Seeing the group of wolves leaving, Vidyut and everyone standing there were shocked. Dhruv said, "It is very strange. A moment ago they were attacking us and now they are retreating."
Here Vidyut was smiling. He looked at the snake sitting on his shoulder and stroked its head. After his strokes, the snake went to the injured wolf and dug its teeth into his neck to drink his blood. Due to which the wolf started thrashing and started hitting the ground with its paws.
After a few moments, his feathers turned pale, as if all the energy from his body had been sucked out along with the blood. After this, the snake walked past Vidyut and went to Ira and climbed up her legs and came near her shoulder.
Seeing this, Vidyut smiled and said, "Okay, child. Did you find new friends? Did you forget your old friends?" and started laughing after saying this.
On hearing Vidyut's voice, the snake started teasing him by sticking out its tongue which was divided into two parts. Seeing this, Ira smiled again and happiness started to show on her face. Just then, the third boy of that group took out his sword and said with his power, 'Ira, this snake is going to bite you.'
Seeing this, everyone's eyes went to the snake. The boy started gathering his powers on the sword. Seeing this, Vidyut made a seal and a lightning bolt was created.
The blow tore through the sky and fell in front of the boy.
Then Vidyut said, 'Don't even think of attacking it, otherwise you will be punished.' Actually that snake was biting his neck, not by biting but by placing its head there.
Seeing this, Ira smiled and said, "Friends, there is no need to panic. I know this snake. It is not a mad animal but like a good friend."
Just then Dhruv came there and said, "You came at the right time. This is your second favor to me. I will repay all your favors in one day." "But I don't understand why these wolves retreated despite being more in number and strength than us?"
But Vidyut knew this and he did not want to reveal the secret of the divine little snake to anyone. He knew that this forest was ruled by the snake Nagin and his ancestors and those wolves knew this.
If he had attacked them, the snake would have come in its real form. So he showed wisdom and went away from there. All the wolves also followed him and went away from there.
The mysterious voice of that old sadhu was echoing in the ears of Vidyut and Dhruv. This sadhu was standing like an ancient warrior amidst the dense shade of the forest, his deep eyes seemed to be piercing the layers of time and looking into the future.
Dhruva asked in a hesitant voice, 'Who are you? And why are you stopping us?' The sage took a deep breath and said, 'I am only a guard who protects the powers of this forest. But whatever is hidden in this forest is only for the Nagas and their successors. And Vidyut, you are the one who has to shoulder this responsibility.'
Vidyut asked in surprise, "Successor? But I am just an ordinary person."
The sadhu smiled slightly, 'If you were just an ordinary person, this forest would have swallowed you up by now. You have a power within you that is yet to be discovered. And Dhruv, your destiny is also linked to this journey.
Dhruva said hesitantly, "But we have come here only to seek shelter." The sage shook his head, "No one reaches this forest by chance. There is a reason why someone comes here.
Just then, there was a rustling sound in the darkness of the forest again. Vidyut and Dhruv became alert. This time it was not a wolf, but the sound of something with a heavy body moving. A huge snake appeared from among the bushes, its glowing eyes were fixed on Vidyut.
Dhruv got scared and immediately started to retreat, but Vidyut stood firm. The snake slowly moved forward and stopped near the sadhu.
The sadhu pointed towards Vidyut and said, 'Look at this snake. It bows its head only to those who have the blood of the snake dynasty.
Vidyut was stunned. He still couldn't believe that he could be part of such a mysterious lineage. But before he could say anything, the sadhu raised his hand and started chanting. Suddenly, a brilliant symbol appeared on the naga's forehead, glowing in a blue aura that resembled Vidyut's eyes.
The sadhu said in a serious tone, 'Vidyut, this forest has come to test you. Pah Naag will stay with you until you recognize the power hidden within you. But remember, this journey will not be easy.
There will be many obstacles in your path, some that can be overcome not by physical strength alone, but by mental strength."
Dhruva, who had been silent till now, spoke up, "So will we not find a way out of this forest?" The sadhu took a deep breath and said, "The path is in front of you, but it is your job to decide whether you will go on the path of truth, or towards darkness."
Vidyut and Dhruv looked at each other. This was not just an ordinary forest, it was a place where the past and the future were intertwined.
The question was: Were they ready to take this journey forward?
