RECLAIMING THE EMPTY SLATE
In a world where the definition of what we want is determined by what others do, what they think, and what they love and hate, most of us don't even know who we are.
The highest state in this life is no state.
The very essence of being human is not set in stone from the moment we are born; we are like an empty slate, and whatever we input into our mind changes the way we see things.
Let us reason together.
Imagine you have a friend with whom you are very close, and you have entrusted her with your most guarded secrets, hoping that she would keep them safe. Now, let's assume that someone tells you she has been sharing details about you, even mentioning one of your secrets. Immediately, your view of her changes, and you begin to see her as a betrayer.
This implies that what we see is influenced by the information stored in our minds.
The mind is the root: if you can control what you think, you can definitely change your life.
This is not to throw you into the deep end without guidance, but to help you break free from a set matrix.
Life has no inherent meaning. I refer here to Albert Camus to support this point.
He argued that life has no intrinsic meaning; there are no written guidelines provided by the universe.
Albert Camus, a proponent of absurdism, maintained that life is inherently devoid of meaning.
This is not to mislead you but to remind you that the life we live is subject to the meaning we choose to give it.
You can choose to be what you want; the very essence of reality is determined by our mind.
What is meaning? (Answer this question based on your view in the comments section.)
I ask this because it is crucial for you to answer it for yourself.
Take your time, no matter how long, try to discover your answer.
Let us list out these questions:
-
What is red?
-
What do you feel when you see red?
-
Why do you feel that way?
-
What do you see when you see a vulture?
-
Why are you thinking what you're thinking?
-
Why do you think that way?
You will notice that most of the answers we have been receiving are not truly our own.
Our thoughts have been influenced, and even the very core of our mind has been affected.
What do you think?
