Chapter 36 - 36 36 Find a Girlfriend_1
Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Find a Girlfriend_1 Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Find a Girlfriend_1 Here in Russia, the male to female ratio is a bit skewed.
There are more women than men!
And before graduating high school, they weren’t as open-minded as in the United States.
Perhaps it’s because the weather is too cold, it’s hard for them to “get fired up”…
Even in university, Wang Ye knew many Russian students in his “past life”, and quite a number of them didn’t have a romantic relationship.
So it isn’t too strange for Angelina to say she has never had a boyfriend.
Ultimately, in Wang Ye’s opinion, Angelina is a knockout.
But whether the Russian boys see her the same way is another story since her body type wasn’t that hot…
Russian boys seem to prefer spicy and lively girls more!
But this could be good news for Wang Ye…
………
Wang Ye didn’t press on too much. They were just starting to get to know each other. It wouldn’t be good to come on too strong. It might be off-putting.
When they reached building number six, Wang Ye waved goodbye to Angelina, casually asking, “If I want to further improve my Russian skills, where should I start?”
Angelina stopped and thought seriously.
She already knew the level of Wang Ye’s Russian skills, which were quite good. Maybe comparable to those of local Russian high school students…
At this level, improving further would be no easy task.
“It would be best to talk to Russians more, try to use Russian as your daily language. There’s an easy way, find a Russian girlfriend, hehe,” she said with a joke.
It wasn’t just Angelina saying these words.
Many teachers already expressed in class that finding a Russian “boyfriend” or “girlfriend” is the fastest way to improve Russian.
In fact, many studying abroad do just that…
Wang Ye looked at her with a smile, spreading his hands out and said with a helpless look, “But I don’t know any Russian girls yet, where will I find a girlfriend? Hmm… Wait, isn’t there one right in front of me?”
Angelina was taken aback, slowly realizing what Wang Ye meant.
But she didn’t take it in the wrong way and openly said, “That won’t do, I’m your teacher. Besides, I’m older than you too. I’m almost 21 and you’re only eighteen, right?”
Wang Ye casually responded, “Who cares? In China, there’s a saying that ‘when a woman is three years older, it’s a ‘Gold Brick’!’ The meaning is, in terms of couples or boyfriends and girlfriends, it is more suitable for the woman to be slightly older than the man.”
If this conversation happened in a domestic school, Wang Ye would probably be in deep trouble.
Harassing a female teacher?
It’s at least a major offense!
But here, no one cares. The Latin American guy in their class was also on the verge of making a move on Angelina…
It seemed that Angelina actually considered Wang Ye’s words for a moment but eventually shook her head.
She looked at Wang Ye and earnestly said, “We don’t understand each other well enough yet, it’s a bit early for that. How about this, I have a few good friends who are either studying or working in Moscow. If there’s an opportunity, I can get us all together for a meal. Maybe you’ll find someone you like.”
If it were any other student, Angelina might not have suggested this.
But Wang Ye is obviously not like other students.
Not to mention this boy’s manners and behavior makes him seem very steady and mature, his conversation is refreshing.
At the very least, his language skills have passed the bar; he can have a normal conversation with any Russian.
Moreover, whilst he did come from a comparatively “poorer” country like China, the fact that he was able to study abroad means his family should be in good standing.
A high-quality guy like him would be quite sought-after even in Moscow!
Because here, “wolves are many, meat is scarce”…
So, Angelina is willing to introduce Wang Ye to her friends to see if they can match up.
Without responding, Wang Ye asked, “Do you have time on the weekend, Angelina? I would like to invite you over and ask you about some things. I have questions regarding my choice of major after the preparatory course. While you’re over I can make you a meal.”
If he had only asked Angelina to meal, he might have been rejected.
As a woman, she might feel uncomfortable going to a man’s dormitory when they barely knew each other.
But Wang Ye found an excuse: asking Angelina about her major selection problem, making it hard for Angelina to refuse outright.
After all, this is part of a teacher’s job…
It’s just that Wang Ye didn’t choose to discuss this during office hours, but on Saturday, in his dormitory.
As expected, Angelina hesitated for a moment, glanced at Wang Ye, and asked, “Can’t we go to my office after class?”
Wang Ye shook his head, smiling saying, “Actually, there’s another thing. From tomorrow, Wednesday through Friday, I need to take leave to handle some stuff, so I won’t be able to make classes. A friend is setting up company in Moscow, so I’ll be helping out. The weekend is the only time I’ll be free. If it’s inconvenient for you, then I can come over to your place?”
Angelina quickly shook her head and said with a hint of shyness: “My cooking isn’t very good, especially since you Chinese students are all so skilled in the kitchen, I don’t want to embarrass myself. Ok, I’ll come to your place this weekend.”
Perhaps this is a misunderstanding foreigners have of Chinese people.
Everyone knows martial arts, and they are all great cooks…
Actually, when Wang Ye invites Angelina over for a meal, he won’t be doing the cooking, the dorm has a chef. Song Xiaogang’s cooking skills are much better than his own!
……
So, they made a date. Saturday afternoon, Angelina would come over to Wang Ye’s dorm for a meal.
When he returned to the dorm, Wang Ye called Xiao Hu.
He told him about having the next few days free, so they can start preparing for the Hu family’s company!
Upon hearing this, Xiao Hu was naturally delighted.
The two of them discussed over the phone and decided to first find an office space, then approach a company registration service to handle the registration paperwork.
At the same time, they would start recruiting some Russian salespersons.
By doing this, they would essentially create a corporate framework.
The Hu family can then start shipping goods from China under the company’s name and later send someone over to take over the company.
Doing all of this may sound simple, especially since they do not need to handle the most complicated part, company registration procedures, which can be left to a professional company.
But it’s not without hurdles.
The Hu family doesn’t want to place their company in a mass market, as it would make their company appear low-end. They want to establish a brand!
However, they also shouldn’t be too far from the market. After all, foreign customers coming to Moscow are accustomed to going to the mass market to check and pick up goods.
Even if you’re a brand, not dealing in low-end goods, it’s more convenient to be as close as possible to the mass market…
Finding an office space that meets their requirements won’t be easy!
What do you think?
