Chapter 619: Kotea Volcano

Little Treasure licked Yabao awake.

After adding Sylvia’s contact information and thanking the director once again, Qiao Sang confirmed that her cameo payment would be processed through the finance department in two days. Then, she rode the now-enlarged Yabao and left the Theo Film Base.

Watching the girl disappear into the sky, Sylvia asked, "Director, you seem quite interested in these pet beasts from Blue Star. Why not discuss with Qiao Sang about having her pet beasts act in more films?"

The director didn’t answer directly but instead asked, "You’re not actually familiar with her, are you?"

Sylvia hesitated for a moment before replying honestly, "I posted a mission at the Beast Taming Center. She took on my mission to come here. Today is actually the first time we’ve met."

"The reward for your mission was dream projection?" The director chuckled.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Sylvia admitted, "My Dream-Hunting Beast's dream projection is only at the advanced level, but she needed a third-person perspective dream projection, so..."

"So you brought her to me." The director finished her sentence.

Sylvia, unafraid of the biggest boss in the crew, grinned, "Well, I knew you were kind and would definitely help out."

"A foreign exchange student from another planet, already having three pet beasts at her age, with two of them even wearing miniaturization rings... Someone like that couldn’t possibly be interested in acting. She agreed to let her Ghost-type pet beast cameo today only because I hadn’t helped her yet. She was worried that if she refused, I might go back on my word."

Staring at the now-empty sky, the director suddenly answered the original question, "Asking her would just be a waste of time."

Sylvia was momentarily stunned.

"You mean... all three of those pet beasts belong to her?"

"What else?" The director glanced at her.

"You wouldn’t be naive enough to think they belong to her family members, would you?"

Sylvia: ???

They were just chatting, how did this turn into a personal attack?

But the director was always sharp when it came to judging people. If this was true, a child with such natural talent as a beast tamer would indeed have no interest in acting.

After all, who would become an actor if they had the potential to be a professional beast tamer... Sylvia suddenly felt a bit melancholic.

Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a familiar figure in the distance. Lowering her gaze slightly, she casually asked, "By the way, Director, I remember Eleanor from our team unlocked the second page of her Beast Taming Codex recently. Didn't she contract a new pet beast the very next day?"

The director was a little surprised at the sudden topic change.

Thinking for a moment, he replied, "I think so. She even threw a party to celebrate. She didn’t invite you?"

"She did, but I was busy at the time." Sylvia replied indifferently.

"I just wanted to know what kind of pet beast she contracted so I could pick a suitable gift for her."

"I wouldn’t know about that." The director said, checking the time on his phone before turning to leave.

"You can ask her yourself. I need to get back to filming."

With that, he walked away.

Sylvia glanced out of the corner of her eye at the figure still eavesdropping nearby, then acted as if she hadn't noticed anything and returned to her trailer.

"Xun xun..."

A Swift Moth fluttered out leisurely.

That human definitely noticed me on purpose and started talking...

Humans are so troublesome.

Back then, she used to feed me those energy pills that Dream-Hunting Beasts liked. I didn't even enjoy the taste, but when I refused, she assumed I was just being shy and insisted I eat them. It almost made me sick.

Now, finally, another human has taken an interest in my abilities, so of course, I switched sides.

Even if that person tricked me into forming a contract, I wouldn’t be willing anyway.

I told her that, but she still thinks I have some hidden struggles.

Humans always assume they’re right.

Yabao held a phone in his paws, happily admiring his handsome new evolved form, his tail wagging wildly.

Little Treasure, seeing Yabao’s excitement, seemed to have an idea. Floating to his beast tamer's side, he called out, signaling that he wanted to see his own evolved form too.

"You’re still far from evolving." Though she said that, Qiao Sang still put down her book immediately, turned on her computer, and searched the star network.

The next evolution stage of Ghost-Ring Phantom was only one: Ghost Ring King. Qiao Sang had looked it up before.

So, she simply typed "Ghost-Ring King" into the search bar.

Soon, information and images of the Ghost-Ring King appeared on the screen.

Qiao Sang enlarged the images.

"Xun xun!"

"Xun xun..."

Little Treasure eagerly moved closer at first, but soon his enthusiasm deflated.

Compared to Yabao's powerful and intimidating evolved form, his own evolution seemed... underwhelming.

Well, your appearances have always been quite different... Qiao Sang mentally retorted but outwardly comforted him, "I actually think your evolved form looks really cute."

"Xun xun?"

Little Treasure's expression turned to one of surprise. Really?

"Really." Qiao Sang affirmed.

She wasn’t lying. The Ghost-Ring Phantom's evolution line had a much higher aesthetic appeal compared to other Ghost-type pet beasts.

Most beasts grew significantly larger after evolving, but this line only increased in size slightly. Compared to other same-tier beasts that could reach several meters or even over ten meters tall, Ghost-Ring King looked exceptionally adorable.

Little Treasure instantly perked up.

Meanwhile, Gangbao continued practicing her Wing Blade technique, silently shaking her head as she listened to the conversation.

Fools. What good is being cute? Strength is what matters.

In the Scared Water Essence, Lubao lay still with her eyes closed, seemingly asleep, but in reality, she was furiously absorbing energy.

Recreating the evolution scene from the dream as accurately as possible would ensure Yabao’s evolution wouldn't go wrong.

She wanted to find a volcanic location where Yabao could evolve.

Originally, she had meant to search for this right after returning from the film base, but Yabao had been too busy admiring his evolved form on the phone.

Since she couldn’t take the phone from him, she had forgotten about it...

Now reminded, Qiao Sang typed "Where are the volcanoes on Chaosu Star?" into the search bar.

The results appeared:

[Over 6,000 volcanoes. Aside from 1st District to other 29 Districts all have volcanoes.]

Qiao Sang hesitated for a moment, then refined her search, adding the word active in front of volcanoes.

Volcanoes were categorized as active, dormant, and extinct.

Extinct volcanoes had no recorded eruptions or signs of activity.

Dormant volcanoes hadn’t erupted for a long time.

Only active volcanoes still erupted regularly.

She had a strong feeling that a volcano was crucial for Yabao’s evolution.

If Yabao had never seen a volcano in real life but could dream of one in vivid detail, that meant the volcano was important.

Thinking this, she searched: "Where is the most active volcano on Chaosu Star?"
