Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king

Chapter 143: Akwarddd

"Sigh " Guilliman sighed as he walked towards his room trying to not get caught in the crossfire of Victorias rage.

She had become extremely erratic since finding out her father was missing. It was just too much. Losing Thane her childhood friend and benefactor and now her father…it was too much for her.

"Hm?" Victoria looked over at the side and spotted Guillimans silhouette walking a distance away from her in a sneaky manner.

"Why are you sneaking around?" She sneered looking at Guillimans weak attempts to get past her without being noticed.

After the whole incident with Thane, Guilliman no longer spoke with her. In fact she had to learn about what happened from a third party as she wasn't a witness to it. She didn't know why Guilliman did what he did, but she could understand he had no choice.

However, his need to hide and avoid the conversation made her feel like he did something wrong and wasn't willing to account for it.

"Uhhh, no reason. Just didn't want to disturb your meeting" Guilliman scratched his head and explained. He seemed to have come in at a rather unfavorable moment.

"Hmp!! Never knew you to be such a coward Guilliman. It's disgusting" Victoria sneered.

Guilliman was proud, straight forward and most times blunt. But here he was acting like a slimy snake, if nothing she hated slimy individuals the most.

"What?" Guillimans expression contorted into irritation as he faced Victorias words.

Coward? There was nothing he hated more than that word. Being called a coward was worse to him than being put to the sword and being backstabbed.

"Did I stutter?" Victoria spoke snappily as her lip broke into a smile. She was pressing Guillimans buttons, as for why she was doing so?

She didn't quite know . To hear the full story? Or just as a way to relieve some stress. Finding that old man was a pain in the ass, maybe a good fighting session could exhaust her long enough for her to get some actual rest.

"You…little" Guilliman gritted his teeth and tightened his fists causing a purple energy to accumulate.

He was pissed off.

All the pent up rage from the past few months seemed to be pouring through the floodgates right now. Anger he thought he had buried in the head of that hallowed beast.

Victoria had gone too far, it wasn't like he was the bad person here. All he did, including killing and ensalving Thane was for their survival.

How dare she call him a coward for that??! !

Fortunately, just as the anger was about to reach its peak a loud bang erupted from the main door causing both parties to look over in caution.

-bang bang bang,

The door was being banged from the outside.

"I count around a dozen….maybe two" Guilliman quickly commented grabbing forward as he caused a dagger bathed in moonlight to appear.

[Fading moonlight: Great Abomination' High lord]

[description: under the light of the moon, a beast was slain, a beast that had undergone the torture of the black raven for close to two centuries. Relieved by its end it granted the king of souls a part of its long burned out essence.]

[attribute: When faced in the dark, this dagger shines with moonlight. Amplifies attack power by 100% in the dark]

Guilliman had just pulled out a great abomination class dagger!! This was the echo he had gotten from killing the original wanning beast moons soul with the help of Barthold.

He had used it only once after the fact and it was with his fight against the abomination class hallowed beast.

Pulling it now meant what was behind the door was not any weaker from his estimates.

-boom!!

A large bang sounded, and the doors blew apart. After which a dust cloud rose covering the silhouettes behind it.

"Hmp!! This is the place" a brustish voice resounded from behind the cloud as a boot completely covered in Blacksteel stepped through the cloud of dust and emerged inside the courtyard.

By this time, Hamdel and Jemie had already appeared beside Victoria and Morgan beside Guilliman.

"Lord Blacksteel, to what do we owe this honor?" noticing the green hair flowing down the fully clad man's head, Victoria quickly recognized the person infront of her.

It was the Blacksteel lord, the ruler of the Blacksteel shelter.

"Honor? I don't think I'll get any honor here Victoria" the Blacksteel lord sneered looking at the young lady infront of him.

She was truly remarkable, if his memories served him right, she had become a full fledged slayer around the time the Gate opened. And now she was capped at Red, all of them in this group seemed to be capped ar that level in fact.

"Hmmm," Victoria frowned then nodded.

The last time the old lord referred to her by her name was when she was still quite little. Immediately after ascertaining her linage and who her father was, he opted to refer to her as Silverstein.

But now he wasn't, a clear indicator that something was wrong with this situation.

"Is that the boy?" From behind him, a man in white stepped forward pointing at Morgan on the side with a bemused expression on his face.

"Hmm, a bit too ordinary looking, can't be you" after staring at him for a few short seconds, his finger drifted to Jemie with a smile on his face.

"It must be you then" the man in white said with a forced smile.

Normally, they didn't act like this, the officials of the alliance were known for taking action first and asking questions later. In normal circumstances, they would just kidnap the whole bunch and interrogate them at their leisure.

But the Blacksteel lord was right here. The idiot would not let them act wantonly in his territory and none of them could actually beat him in a fight so they had to conform.

"Stop acting like an overzealous kid and pointing at random people. Get behind me now!!" The Blacksteel lord seeing the man in white act so awkwardly barked annoyance painted in his tone.

Immediately after hearing those words, the man in white smiled bitterly and stepped back secretly feeling wronged, they weren't use to this, how could the Blacksteel lord Blame them?

"You, you're Guilliman yes?" The blacksteel lord shook his head in embarrassment then slowly turned to Guilliman.

He had placed his sights on the young man a while ago, though he didn't expect to be drawn to him so soon after the gate incident, he would accept it.

"I…Yes" Guilliman spoke reluctantly.

Facing Victoria was hard enough, now he had to face the father of the man he had killed not too long ago?
