Armipotent

The guard led Tang Shaoyang into the villages, following the dirt road as he observed the houses to the sides. The houses were made of wood, a well built house. The villagers that brought a basket of clothes or vegetables stopped at the sight of him. Some villagers peeked through their window, and the children approached him with no fear.

The curious children tried to get closer to Tang Shaoyang, but the guards drove the children away. He kept his smile which might be the reason why the children were not afraid of him. The adult villagers seemed not to be afraid of him either.

He guessed that the villagers and the children might be curious about his weird outfit. A black long sleeve shirt with a black coat and black pants. He was wearing shoes that were totally different from their boots.

Soon the road changed into a stone road, obviously much cleaner and neat. The houses around the stone road were also different. Most of the house was made of half stone and half wood, better in design than the houses in the dirt road area.

Through his Chaos Eyes, he could see his destination. The house was bigger than the others with a big garden. Different from the previous area, the people stayed in their houses. They closed the door and the window, only peeking through the small gap of the window out of curiosity.

He ignored the unpleasant stares from the house. The two guards were aware of how different the villagers in the core area treated Tang Shaoyang. Afraid that their guest might lash out, the two guards picked up their pace.

They arrived at their destination in a few minutes' walk. The house was much bigger, three times bigger and taller. A higher fence that was outside surrounded the house. Two guards with plate armor stood on the gate, having much better gear than the two guards that guided him here.

One of the guards ran to the guard at the gate and whispered something. They thought he would not hear them just because they were whispering.

Tang Shaoyang heard everything. The outside guard said that he was a player and wanted to know the location of the floor boss. The guard remembered the warning, not to do something stupid.

The two guards wearing plate armor looked at Tang Shaoyang. The two clearly were more trained and competent, showing no reaction.

One of the guards nodded and went to the big house, and the second one approached Tang Shaoyang. He bowed his head slightly, "My friend is informing The Village Chief of your arrival, Sir."

Tang Shaoyang nodded as the guard with plate armor dismissed the two guides. He did not mind waiting outside, and he noticed the guard with the plate armor visibly relaxed. The guard seemed to worry that he did not want to wait outside.

Tang Shaoyang expects to wait for one or maybe three minutes at most. However, no one came out from the house after nine minutes since the guard entered the house. He furrowed his brow and purposely released his aura.

The guard's face changed as soon as he sensed Tang Shaoyang's aura. He subconsciously took a step back and glanced at the house behind. He was already nervous when his friend had not returned within five minutes. The Village Chief was inside, and their hunting team had not gone out yet. They had their force ready in the village, so there was no need for the Village Chief to worry about his safety. Yet, no one came out within five minutes, and he started to worry.

He faced the worst part now. The Player was clearly stronger than him. He did not have Detection Skills, but he was confident from the aura he sensed just now that the player was much stronger than him. The player might be the God Rank.

The guard wanted to make an excuse to get inside, but he noticed that the Village Chief came out from the manor accompanied by their strongest hunter and soldier. He was relieved that they finally came out and secretly glanced at the player. The player had lost his smile, having an expressionless face. He did not know why but for some reason, he felt something bad was about to happen. His instinct was spot on as he heard the player's voice.

"You better know where the boss floor is!"

It was a toneless voice, but the guard could tell that his Village Chief successfully provoked the player. He wanted to curse his Village Chief for doing the unnecessary. The Village Chief was smiling, and he hoped his Village Chief had a plan to face this player.

"Ah, I am sorry for the wait. I was—"

"You were ready seven minutes ago. You gathered all your people seven minutes ago and watched me from the second floor. You better know where the boss floor is after wasting my time on your stupid little game!" Tang Shaoyang's aura burst out, suppressing the Village Chief and his cronies.

Surprisingly, The Village Chief was a God Rank, but the others were just Demi-God Rank. As soon as he directed his aura at them, all the Demi-God Ranks were on their knees. He adjusted the aura, making sure not to disturb the villagers who stayed in their houses.

The Village Chief's expression changed, taking five steps back, closer to his house. Tang Shaoyang increased his aura intensity, and the Demi-God Ranks fell to the ground, their faces kissing the stone road.

The Village Chief initially was about to use his Bloodline Transformation to fight back. He changed his mind as soon as he sensed the aura. Based on the aura only, he could tell that he was far weaker than the player in front of him. He fell on his knees, lowering his head, "I apologize for my insolent behavior, Sir."

He tried to probe and provoke the player, not because he wanted to fight the player. He wanted to show that he was a strong God Rank and hoped the player would recruit him to the faction, so he could get out from the tower. The plan backfired, and he could tell that the player in front of him was not an ordinary member of a faction, but the top figure of a faction. He was pissed off the top figure, and he realized that he just blew his chance to get recruited.

Tang Shaoyang approached the Village Chief, "As I said, you better know where the boss floor is."

"Y-yes… I-I know the place you are looking for, Sir…"

"Good. You will guide me there!" Tang Shaoyang retracted his aura right away.
