The contract was a formality as people could breach the contract without receiving a punishment. However, the contract was convenient because they could easily find out if their partner breached the contract.

After having his legal team check the contract for ten minutes, checking the loopholes and so on, Tang Shaoyang signed the contract together with Hubert. They dropped the blood on it, and it was official that the Valuer Empire would have to share seventy-five percent resources they owned and the resource point they discovered in the future with the Tang Empire.

That was compensation and also the price to reconcile with the Tang Empire. The contract did not mention any alliance, but Hubert was well aware that they would obtain The Executive Administrator's protection. Those resource points were literally owned by the Tang Empire, not them. If the other alliances or factions or cities attacked and took over, The Tang Empire would lose the earnings from the said resource.

A satisfied smile hung on Hubert's lip. He could see The Emperor was satisfied with what he offered and did not ask for more. That meant the Emperor was quite a reasonable person not to ask for more shares even though The Tang Empire had an upper hand in the negotiation.

Tang Shaoyang and Hubert had a handshake for the last time, finalizing the agreement. With the contract, the Tang Empire and the Valuer Empire had agreed to a truce and reconcile. The Tang Empire and the Valuer Empire would not attack each other outside the city with no obligation to help or protect each other.

"I am releasing your people right now. They are on the way back to the city," Tang Shaoyang did what he was supposed to do, releasing the captives.
