"Though you are already in your third month, you are not in the safe zone yet. You need to take care of yourself and make sure that you don't try to push your body beyond your limits." She paused and added, "And try not to engage in intimate activities for the time being or else the child would be troubled."

As soon as Shen Zhen finished speaking, Bai Meiyue spurted. She coughed as if she was choking on water and questioned, "Intimate activities? With whom will I engage in such activities? No, why are you even telling me this?"

"It's Mister Lei who questioned me." Shen Zhen smiled at Bai Meiyue with a teasing look in her eyes and added in a subtle voice, "He said that he was worried that you would be troubled when you two are alone and asked me to give you some body-strengthening pills. I would have done that, but you are pregnant at the moment and cannot take that kind of pill at the moment."

Bai Meiyue was speechless. She waved her hand and then said to Shen Zhen, "He is speaking nonsense. Why would I sleep with him when I don't even want him in my life? Don't listen to his one-sided words."

She really had to admire the shamelessness of that man. He actually said such a rich thing to Shen Zhen? Did he really think that one day, the two of them would do the tango? He was simply too stupid!

With another eyeroll, she said to Shen Zhen, "I just feel nauseous when I am near sharp scents and when I wake up in the morning. My appetite is, however, good and I don't need to worry about anything."

As she finished speaking, she saw Shen Zhen nod her head. Then the woman said with a serious tone, "Then it could mean that your body had started accepting the womb. Once your body has completely adapted to the foetus, you will stop vomiting as well. I think I should congratulate you; you are about to enter the most relaxing period of your pregnancy very soon."

Though Shen Zhen spoke in a light-hearted voice, Bai Meiyue knew that the woman was worried about her health. After all, even though she was entering the safest period of her pregnancy, Bai Meiyue knew that compared to everything else that she had to face very soon, vomiting was nothing.

When a woman became a mother, she not only had to battle the changes in her body but she also needed to face many challenges like mental anxiety, increasing pressure on the tailbone, worries, constipation, cramps, prenatal depression, memory fog, difficulty in sleeping and other severe symptoms where she wouldn't be able to do what she could do normally.

These things were not easy, and even more so when the woman was a single mother.

Though Shen Zhen didn't want to tell the truth to Bai Meiyue, she didn't need her to do so. After all, Bai Meiyue was not carrying a child in her womb for the first time; she had faced these challenges in her past life and knew very well how hard it was on her.

She still remembered that when she was about to give birth, her body started having fake cramps.

Back then, she didn't have anyone by her side, and Bai Meiyue had to take care of everything. She was young and timid, with a big belly, and the entire world had turned upside down. On top of that, she had to take care of Bai Qingshi, Bai Xue and the others. Just thinking about it made Bai Meiyue feel tired. She had no idea how she did it all.

Shen Zhen was still speaking in her ear as she nagged Bai Meiyue over a bunch of things. However, Bai Meiyue didn't pay attention to anything. She turned to look at Shen Zhen and asked, "Do you have the equipment to do a prenatal checkup?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Shen Zhen turned quiet. Indeed, how was she supposed to give Bai Meiyue a prenatal checkup when the end of the world was here? So how could she have all the equipment for a prenatal checkup?

"There are indeed a lot of things that we need if we want to do prenatal checkups. Because this hospital was swarmed by the zombies, most of the things were already in ruins."

As she spoke, she ended up handing a long list to Bai Meiyue, who was simply speechless when she heard the number of machines that they needed to collect before she could get a prenatal checkup.

"The father of the child, do you think he is in good condition?" Shen Zhen asked after a short pause. She had heard that Lei Qian was a big boss before the end of the world; such big bosses were used to doing things that could cause harm to their children.

"I —think he is?" Bai Meiyue blinked her eyes and didn't know what to say. Though Lei Qian had a clean background, that was all Bai Meiyue knew about him. She had absolutely no idea about that man other than that he was the heir of the Lei family and that he once owned a big company.

More importantly, the one thing that she was worried about was whether or not her child was growing safely and sound inside her belly without any hidden illness. Her son might have been healthy in her previous life but what if something changes?
