Chapter 1167: Back to campus!
From MC’s Perspective:

Faction Leader Francesca dropped me in the middle of Star City in an isolated spot. No one could have spotted her. But I have to go back to the university on my own now.

A slight headache is making me uncomfortable. So many things have happened back-to-back. I couldn’t figure out the heads and tails of it.

I have decided to lock myself up for at least 2 days in my residence. Only after clearing my head could I face others.

Not long after, I came to the busy street. Then I found a cab waiting for a customer. When I showed my ID, the driver widened his eyes in disbelief.

Before he could open his mouth and draw attention, I looked at him and said, “I don’t have time for this. I need to go back to the university ASAP.”

Hearing that, the middle-aged driver nodded his head. His expression was serious.

Then I entered the cab and sat in the back seat. The driver then started to drive without making any noise. The cab slowly hovered above the ground.

After appearing in mid-air, he started driving toward the destination. From time to time, the driver took a look at Zack Lockwood, who is one of the famous persons of their Star University.

His fame went through the roof when he became one of the survivors of the secret land. The survivors of the secret land all got Inheritance.

Many of them received ancient inheritance. It was no longer hidden news. The driver thinks that Zack Lockwood had accepted ancient Inheritance as well.

It’s just that he feels unfortunate that he is not familiar with Zack Lockwood. Otherwise, he could have spoken to him right now.

“But we don’t know about his inheritance. I guess he is now an inner hall warrior. Soon, everyone will know.”

They are discussing in low tones, but I could hear them clearly. I almost forgot that I’m an Inner Hall Warrior now.

Which means I have to go to the new place. Then I pushed down these thoughts before continuing to walk.

Soon, I reached the residence. I quickly went inside and locked the door.

I heaved a sigh of relief the next moment. I hope Faction Leader Francesca won’t come here to abduct me again. My eyes reflected helplessness thinking about it.

“Are you sure he doesn’t want the bloodline method?” Jerome asked.

He is speaking to Francesca Ball.

“With that power, he can save a lot of lives on the battlefield,” Jerome said in a serious tone.

Francesca’s eyes lit up with hope.

She said, “Dean, I think he doesn’t know about our work. Maybe he thought that Red Mark Warrior was the ceiling. Now he has the inheritance information; he should know by now that our world is not that simple. It’s bigger than he is thinking.”

“Alright, I’ll tell Clifford to inform him about the world and our enemies. Once he clears his mind, we will talk to him again,” Dean Jerome said.

“Okay, Dean,” Francesca replied.

Jerome then thought of something before asking, “Is there any possibility of finding Zack Lockwood’s parents?”

Hearing that, Francesca hesitated. Then she said, “We don’t have records of those who have gone for undercover missions.”

“Many of them were dispatched to various outposts that year. So I’m still trying to find out the truth,” she added.

“Take your time. Too much information is not good for him. Let him focus on the task at hand,” Jerome replied.

He can’t imagine the emotional turmoil of that kid, Zack. So he doesn’t want the past wounds to bother that kid now.

Then they spoke about a few other things before Francesca left the place.

Meeting Hall:

“Zack is back,” Clifford uttered in surprise.

There is no one inside the meeting hall right now. Everyone is doing their own work. He is thinking about meeting Zack Lockwood.

Then he recalled something before shaking his head.

“Ancient Inheritance of the variant water element,” he uttered in a helpless tone.

He has decided not to bother the kid. If other factions learned about Zack Lockwood’s situation, then they wouldn’t be silent. They would definitely make fun of that kid.

So far, Zack Lockwood had tormented them with his powerful purple lightning. Others would surely be happy if it’s not going to repeat in the future.

Clifford trusts Dean’s words. Dean Jerome is a Red Mark Warrior. He has seen many things and knows many secrets. He believes he will solve the problem soon.
