Chapter 212: Xu Wei is Yu Li
Chapter 212: Xu Wei is Yu Li
Hearing that familiar voice, everyone instinctively looked toward the door.
Bo Jingmo stood at the entrance. Behind him was a beautiful woman, wearing the same style of pajamas, hugging him from behind, her head leaning out from the side.
Her sleepy fox-like eyes squinted as she complained, “Hubby, what are you doing here? You said you’d check next door. Why are you in someone else’s place?”
“How’d you wake up?” Bo Jingmo touched her hand. Feeling a slight chill, he turned around and took off his coat, draping it over her shoulders.
Yu Li yawned. “Got woken up by the cold. It’s freezing without you next to me.”
She lazily clung to Bo Jingmo, her body leaning into his arms.
Bo Jingmo wrapped his arm around her waist, letting her rest more comfortably against him.
Seeing the exhaustion on her face, his eyes darkened. He gently touched her cheek with heartache, bent down to kiss her, and asked in a low voice:
“Tired? Want to go back now?”
Yu Li softly hummed in reply and murmured lightly, “Let’s finish this scene first.”Her lazy gaze swept across the others in the room. She seemed to just now notice something was off and raised her brow. “What are you all doing? Demolishing a house in the middle of the night?”
Rong Fan couldn’t help staring at Yu Li’s face, but the scene before him stabbed at his eyes. When Bo Jingmo bent down to kiss Yu Li, his pupils trembled, and his gaze jolted away like he’d been shocked.
In this film set where everyone fought for screen time, he chose to turn his head and stay silent.
Mu Chengsi sat on the floor. The continuous blood loss had already blurred her consciousness. She could only vaguely see a graceful figure walking toward her.
The woman squatted down, looked at her current state, and sighed. “Mu Chengsi, how did you end up like this? What a mess.”
When the eyes go blind, the hearing sharpens.
Mu Chengsi sat on the floor with half-lidded eyes and suddenly found the woman’s voice extremely familiar.
Suddenly, her fingertip twitched, her pale lips moved, slowly and silently mouthing two words:
Yu Li…
Xu Wei is Yu Li.
Seeing her lip movement, Yu Li smiled without replying. She reached out to tuck Mu Chengsi’s scattered hair behind her ear. The gesture was gentle yet held a hint of indifference, like a pitying charity.
In a corner unnoticed by anyone, she bent down, curled her lips into a soft smile, and said:
“Keep it a secret for me, okay?”
“Your NPC—I helped you finish her early.”
She remained squatting, then looked toward Xiao Zhi holding a comb nearby and said sweetly, “Good children shouldn’t go around picking random daddies.”
She tilted her head again to look at Xiao Yun, who stood dazed in the living room, and spoke gently, “Xiao Yun, take your little sister to bed now. It’s really late. If you keep making a mess, your mommy will get tired.”
Clack—the scissors fell to the floor.
Xiao Yun snapped out of her trance and dazedly let go.
She walked over, took Xiao Zhi’s hand, and step by step headed to the room, mumbling nonstop, “Time to sleep… time to sleep…”
Once their figures completely disappeared from the living room, Yu Li yawned and stood up, turning to look at the man beside her.
“Rong Fan.”
This might’ve been the first time Yu Li had ever fully called Rong Fan by his name. She said it casually, but to the listener, it threw everything into chaos.
Rong Fan stiffened and instinctively stood straight, not even daring to move his hands. His voice hoarse, he replied, “Here.”
Receiving her odd glance, he finally realized what he was doing. His face flushed a little as his body relaxed. “Wh…what is it?”
If Rong Fan had one fatal flaw, it was that he was always tense around Yu Li.
Especially now—this was their first meeting in years.
Yu Li saw his reaction clearly but didn’t say anything. She only lifted her chin slightly, gesturing at the unconscious Mu Chengsi.
“There’s one passed out here. You take care of it.”
“Got it, you go rest first.” Rong Fan’s mind hadn’t caught up yet, but his mouth had already agreed out of habit.
【Hahahaha this damn body memory.】
【Xu Wei: What’s up with this guy? So weird.】
【But seriously, our Li-jie!! So badass!! Just one move and both little girls were totally stunned.】
【I can only say—so cool! That familiar presence, waaah, it’s a shame she’s not a player. Otherwise, she’d get way more screen time.】
【Seriously, can we give our Li-jie more face time? Don’t you understand what "traffic magnet" means?!】
【By the way, is Li-jie’s identity really that simple? Is the rule for this film set that all NPCs randomly turn into monsters at night? Then wouldn't Li-jie also turn into a monster?! (shocked face)】
【D*mn, but she’d still be the prettiest monster…】
【I’m dying of laughter—so what’s the solution? Kill the monsters? Is that the only way to break free?】
【No clue. It’s only the first night. Totally clueless. Let’s wait and see if the players find any clues.】
【Did anyone notice? The moment Rong Fan showed concern, Bo Jingmo’s face darkened.】
【Bo Jingmo: That’s my wife. What are you worried about.】
【OMG the comment above is killing me—honestly though, that’s probably what Bo Jingmo was thinking.】
【Super possessive little husband alert.】
At this moment, this “little husband” wasn’t in a good mood at all. He pursed his lips, walked to Yu Li’s side, took her hand, and said in a low voice: “Let’s go home.”
Yu Li held his hand tightly, looked up with a smile. “Okay.”
They had just reached the doorway when they bumped into Jiang Xi and Chen Zhixia rushing downstairs.
The two froze at the bloody scene in Room 602.
Seeing Bo Jingmo about to leave, Jiang Xi wanted to say something, but when she noticed Yu Li next to him, the words silently died in her throat.
She lived alone upstairs. She had no idea when or what kind of accident might happen. By the time she sensed something was off, it was already too late.
Now it seemed… everything was over.
Once the two of them had left, she rushed into the room. When she saw Mu Chengsi collapsed on the ground, her steps rooted in place.
Rong Fan had his back to them, tending to Mu Chengsi’s head wound, and suddenly asked:
“What time is it?”
Jiang Xi froze, quickly checking her watch. “It’s… twelve oh five.”
“Past midnight, huh…” Rong Fan muttered under his breath.
He suddenly turned his head, and the pitch-black eyes were terrifyingly calm.
“Check Room 606.”
When they reached the door to Room 606, the unlocked door was easily pushed open. Instantly, the stench of blood hit them, along with low sobbing sounds.
When they stepped inside and saw the room, their expressions instantly became extremely complicated.
Mu Shichen’s corpse lay at the doorway, his dark pupils staring wide, blood tears dripping from the corners of his eyes, his bruised face twisted in hatred and horror.
A sharp knife was stabbed straight into his chest. Red-black blood poured from his heart. The death was gruesome.
Zhang Jialin was kneeling next to him, covering her face and crying.
Seeing this, Rong Fan’s fists at his side slowly clenched, and his eyes darkened with unreadable emotion.
What do you think?
