After Transmigrating as a Tycoon’s Wife, My Thoughts Are Heard by the Whole Family

Chapter 414

Sixth Uncle’s family was returning to the country, as their precious daughter Qin Tiantian had finally finished her exams.

The family initially planned to go to the airport to welcome them, but Sixth Uncle said their clothing wasn’t season-appropriate, so they’d stop to buy some clothes on the way before heading to the ancestral residence. They told everyone not to trouble themselves and that they’d see them at home. As always, Sixth Uncle’s family operated in a laid-back, casual manner.

Since Qin Tiantian was done with exams, the younger family members immediately added her to their group chat.

The moment she joined, Qin Tiantian flooded the chat with memes and emojis, embodying the joy of a bird finally freed from its cage.

It was clear that the eighteen-year-old had been pushed to the brink by her exams. She was the youngest of Qin Xian’s generation, even younger than Qin Jiaxi by a year. However, due to her rigorous studies and enrollment in a strict girls’ academy, she’d been living in isolation, so their contact was limited to an annual visit.

Whenever Qin Tiantian came back, Qin Jiaxi was the happiest. Qin Tiantian, with her outgoing and sunny personality, was like a living embodiment of joy. She could get along with anyone.

Ji Fei noticed Qin Tiantian tagging her in the chat, exclaiming, “Second Sister-in-law, I want to see you first when I get home!”

Ji Fei, puzzled, responded, “Huh? Why?”

Qin Chao chimed in mischievously, “She probably wants to see what kind of miraculous woman managed to win over her idolized Second Brother.”

Qin Tiantian replied with a giggle, “I already know! I’ve watched all your variety shows! I’m officially part of the Fei fan club now!”

Ji Fei was so embarrassed she didn’t know how to respond, opting for a string of ellipses.

The family in the living room erupted into laughter.

Ji Fei had assumed most people in the family wouldn’t care much beyond knowing the basics—that she and Qin Chao had once appeared on a variety show. But Qin Tiantian clearly wasn’t like most people.

“Do you know why she’s so invested in you?” Qin Chao asked with a mysterious grin.

“Why?” Ji Fei asked curiously.

Qin Rong burst out laughing and explained, “Because when Tiantian was little, she met Second Brother once and kept saying she wanted to marry him when she grew up. She called him her idol. But as she got older, she realized her dream was impossible and had to resign herself to heartbreak. Our Second Brother, stealing even his relatives’ hearts.”

Before she could finish, Qin Rong got a light smack on the head from Qin Xian.

“Stop saying nonsense to your sister-in-law.”

The rest of the family laughed uproariously. It was clear they were used to hearing such stories. Qin Tiantian had long been a devoted fan of Qin Xian.

Ji Fei couldn’t help but notice how Qin Tiantian’s presence brought so much joy to the family. She really was a ray of sunshine, lighting up the room.

As everyone laughed and chatted, someone suddenly exclaimed, “Is Miss Tiantian coming back soon?”

The Qin family was generally kind to their household staff, so no one minded when a housekeeper interrupted their conversation. Instead, they smiled and replied, “Yes, she is.”

“Wonderful! I’ll get started on her favorite desserts right away,” the housekeeper said, hurrying off to the kitchen.

Ji Fei glanced curiously at her eldest cousin, Qin Wenqiang.

Qin Wenqiang explained, “That’s Aunt Mao. She’s been with the family for a long time. When she first started, she took care of Sixth Uncle’s family, especially Tiantian. She dotes on her like her own child.”

The topic passed, and the group returned to their lively conversation.

In the afternoon, the sound of a car approaching could be heard.

Everyone went outside and soon saw a car pulling in.

A window rolled down, and a head popped out. It was Qin Tiantian, eagerly looking around. When she saw the group waiting, she waved enthusiastically, her joy as bright as the sun.

As soon as the car stopped, Qin Tiantian jumped out and ran towards them. Her parents got out more slowly, watching her with indulgent smiles while calling out, “Slow down!”

Qin Tiantian made a beeline for Ji Fei, who stood beside Qin Xian, the most beautiful person in the group.

“Fei-jie! Oh, no, Sister-in-law! I finally get to meet you! I need your autograph, a photo, and—”

As Qin Tiantian ran up, Ji Fei thought she might actually get hugged. But the girl, perhaps realizing her enthusiasm might be overwhelming, adjusted at the last second and opted to grab Ji Fei’s hands instead.

She clung to Ji Fei’s hands, shaking them and pouting adorably, leaving Ji Fei overwhelmed.

Among her in-laws, only Qin Jiaxi and Qin Rong were younger than Ji Fei, and they were both quiet and reserved. This level of enthusiasm was entirely new to her.

“Alright, alright! I’ll fulfill all your requests. It’s so nice to meet you, Tiantian,” Ji Fei said with a smile.

The other siblings, seeing Tiantian monopolizing Ji Fei, teased her to greet everyone else too.

Tiantian quickly went around, greeting everyone in turn.

When she got to Qin Xian, she sighed dramatically. “Sigh, Second Brother is even more handsome now. How am I supposed to find a boyfriend? You’ve raised the bar way too high!”

Qin Xian remained indifferent, but the others burst out laughing. “Tiantian, comparing your future boyfriends to Qin Xian is just setting yourself up for failure. Be careful you don’t stay single forever!”

At that moment, Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt walked over.

Tiantian declared, “Well, in that case, I’ll just live off my parents forever. I’ll mooch off you guys and be a spoiled young lady for life!”

Sixth Uncle tapped her forehead. “What ambition!”

Sixth Aunt laughed. “Alright, we’ll take care of you forever.”

Everyone greeted the elders warmly, the atmosphere cheerful and harmonious. Ji Fei couldn’t sense anything unusual about Sixth Uncle’s family.

This made the second branch of the Qin family even more genuinely happy.

Just then, voices could be heard from the main building. Everyone prepared to head over together.

Suddenly, Aunt Mao rushed over, exclaiming, “Miss Tiantian, you’re back! Oh, let me have a look at you. You’ve grown so much taller and prettier in just a year!”

Her timing felt a bit awkward, almost lacking tact.

Still, the family was in a good mood, so no one minded.

Tiantian greeted Aunt Mao warmly, and Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt exchanged polite words with her. However, it was clear that Aunt Mao was much more focused on Tiantian, looking at her with tears in her eyes. Her affection was almost over the top.

Ji Fei couldn’t help but joke, “She might as well be treating Tiantian like her own daughter.”

“Maybe it’s because Tiantian is so lovable,” someone replied.

“After all, she practically watched her grow up.”

Sixth Uncle’s family seemed used to this level of attention, but the others found it a bit much and reminded Aunt Mao that the elders were waiting.

Aunt Mao snapped out of it, awkwardly mentioning that she had prepared Tiantian’s favorite treats and would bring them over later.

Tiantian smiled. “Thanks! I brought you and Xiao Yi gifts too. Will Xiao Yi be coming by today? It’s been so long since I’ve seen her.”

For a brief moment, Aunt Mao’s expression faltered before she forced a smile.
