Chapter 32 - 32 32 Dreams that Predict the Future
32: Chapter 32: Dreams that Predict the Future 32: Chapter 32: Dreams that Predict the Future Lately, Emily Parker hasn’t been dining with him, and Adam Willow spends every day eating with Sophie Parker, who dislikes the food from the hospital cafeteria and prefers to order takeout.
The takeout is not only expensive but also tastes bad, and Adam Willow’s stomach has been upset several times.
He never used to think there was anything special about the packed lunches Emily made, but now he feels that Emily’s cooking is actually quite delicious.
It was only when Sophie said that Emily had gone on a blind date that Adam truly began to panic.
He took out his phone, ready to contact Sophie.
“It’s too late, we can’t go back to how things were,”
Emily shook her head.
She was already married, and even if she got divorced in the future, there was no way she would be together with Adam Willow again.
Contaminated with Sophie’s scent, she found it repulsive.
At this moment, the elevator doors opened, and a doctor walked in.
Before Adam Willow could fully understand the meaning of Emily’s words, Emily stepped out of the elevator.
As Adam Willow came out of the elevator, he saw Sophie with tear-stained eyes walking towards him.
“Little Sophie, why are you crying?”
Seeing Sophie’s appearance, the words that were on Adam Willow’s lips were swallowed back.
“It’s nothing.
I think my sister didn’t do it on purpose.
She must like you too much, and that’s why she treated me like that,”
Sophie wiped the corners of her eyes.
“Human Resources just informed me that I shouldn’t come to volunteer anymore.
They said someone reported that I was not serious at work, and I thought I had offended someone.
Later, I heard from other volunteers that they saw my sister going to Human Resources before they called me over.”
Sophie put on the appearance of a wronged little white rabbit.
Adam Willow originally wanted to say that Emily wouldn’t do such a thing, but considering her previous attitude towards Doctor Bennet…he began to doubt again.
It seemed that Emily really had changed.
He took out a tissue and handed it to Sophie.
“Little Sophie, actually there are some things I’ve been wanting to say to you, the two of us…”
“Brother Adam, let’s not talk about these unhappy matters.
My internship is over, and it’s a pity I won’t be able to see you every day.
My mom just gave me my allowance for this month, so let me treat you to dinner tonight.”
Sophie had just seen Emily and Adam Willow coming out of the elevator together.
Emily, that little bitch, was clearly not giving up on Adam Willow.
Adam Willow’s recent attitude towards her had been lukewarm, and she needed to push harder to make him utterly unable to leave her.
“You’re still a student, so you shouldn’t waste money, let’s skip dinner.”
“Then you treat me, as a celebration in advance for your published paper.”
“How did you know that I submitted a paper?”
Adam Willow looked completely astonished.
“I had a dream last night that you successfully published an SCI paper, one of the most authoritative kind internationally.”
Sophie blinked, she wanted Adam Willow to know that she was special.
Whatever Emily has, she has it too.
And what Emily doesn’t have, she also has.
Every successful man doesn’t want a strong woman standing behind him?
She, Sophie Parker, had prophetic dreams.
That night, she dreamt about Adam Willow publishing a paper.
It wasn’t long after he and Emily got married, during a dinner, the Old Master mentioned it.
Before that, the Parker Family looked down on Adam Willow.
But as he published his first SCI paper and then several more in succession, Adam Willow maintained a publication frequency of one or two papers a year.
He became the doctor with the most authoritative publications in People’s Hospital, earning multiple titles at a young age.
It was then that his biological father began to notice Adam’s abilities…
“Dreams can’t be taken as reality.”
Adam Willow shook his head, not taking Sophie Parker’s words to heart.
Not long ago, he had indeed submitted a paper, which at the time was Emily Parker who helped him find the materials.
However, that paper was submitted to one of the international leading medical journals, and he himself didn’t harbor much hope for it.
Adam Willow checked the time; it was already time for work.
He decided to talk about the truth with Sophie Parker another day.
After separating from Sophie Parker, Adam Willow was busy all morning, temporarily putting the matters concerning Emily Parker and Sophie Parker to the back of his mind.
At noon, Director Foster from his department walked in excitedly.
He patted Adam Willow’s shoulder and praised loudly,
“Little Willow, congratulations.
You are indeed young and promising, to have published an article in an American medical journal at such a young age.
Experts both domestically and internationally have given high praise to your paper.
You are the youngest person in our hospital’s history to have published in such a weekly journal.”
Adam Willow was stunned.
His paper, it was really published?
Upon receiving this news, Adam Willow’s first reaction was to tell Emily Parker.
He sent a message to Emily Parker, but she didn’t reply.
He then shared the good news with his mother and sister.
Afterward, hesitating, he stared at the WeChat profile marked “Father” and sent him the good news.
During lunch break, Emily Parker was carrying her lunchbox, ready to eat with Old Master.
She overheard several colleagues chatting,
“Did you hear that Doctor Willow from the emergency department has published a medical paper in an American medical association journal?”
“The American medical association from one of the world’s top three medical journals?”
“Doctor Willow is really amazing, isn’t he possibly our hospital’s youngest publisher?”
“Doctor Willow truly has a bright future.
His papers will surely keep coming one after another.
Whoever marries him is going to be very fortunate.”
Saying this, those few nurses sneakily glanced at Emily Parker.
Everyone knew that Emily Parker had a crush on Doctor Willow.
Unfortunately for her, Doctor Willow did not reciprocate her feelings.
Right now, Emily Parker must be regretting deeply, for having lost such an excellent prospect for marriage.
Emily Parker’s hand, holding the lunchbox, paused slightly.
A bunch of papers?
Sigh, these nurses think that SCI papers are as common as cabbages.
Emily Parker shook her head and walked out carrying her lunchbox.
Just as she reached the elevator, she saw Doctor Bennet in a wheelchair being pushed towards her by a nurse.
Doctor Bennet’s face turned pale as soon as she saw Emily Parker.
Seeing Emily caused her a headache.
She had just been checked for a minor concussion.
“Go, hurry on.”
Doctor Bennet hurriedly had the nurse push her away, not daring to get close to Emily Parker, as if a slight touch would send her flying again.
It wasn’t until Emily Parker had gotten on the elevator that Doctor Bennet dared to move forward.
Doctor Bennet grew angrier the more she thought about it.
After waking up, in a fit of anger, she had called her father to complain.
Her father had assured her repeatedly that he would discipline Emily Parker.
But who knew, after her father made a call to the personnel department, he scolded her instead and told her to stay away from Emily Parker in the future, saying that Emily Parker had a powerful backing.
“I knew it, that Emily Parker is nothing but a slut, no good at all.
She must have been kept by some old man, that’s why she snatched the position of the city’s image ambassador from me.”
Doctor Bennet spit towards the elevator.
“Doctor Bennet, what did you just say?
Who is keeping Emily Parker?”
A curious voice came from behind her.
What do you think?
