Chapter 28 - 28 28 Marital Agreement
28: Chapter 28: Marital Agreement 28: Chapter 28: Marital Agreement Emily Parker didn’t expect Carlos to be home at this time.
Carlos was also stunned.
The bathroom was filled with steam.
At that moment, Emily had only her undergarments on, everything that should and shouldn’t be seen was seen.
Her skin was very white, flawless, even more captivating than in the videos.
Her legs were long and straight, wearing a set of white lace lingerie.
It was ostensibly conservative, but on her, it hugged her curves in all the right places, pure yet seductive, like a teasing little wildcat, nearly taking his life.
Carlos could only feel an inner beast stirring restlessly within his body.
Gradually, his gaze became fiery, his breathing quickened, his eyes were moist and full of aggression.
“Sorry, I didn’t know you were in here.
I’ll go out right away.”
Emily hurriedly covered her body with her hands, intending to retreat from the bathroom.
But she was too nervous and stepped on a puddle of water.
The floor was slippery, and she lost her footing.
In the moment she fell backward, Emily thought of the child in her belly and grasped wildly in the air.
Carlos saw the woman about to fall and stretched out his long legs, ready to catch her.
But Emily’s reaction was faster.
She wrapped her arms around Carlos’s neck.
Carlos, with a reflexive move, switched their positions.
He protected her in his arms.
Bang—
The moment they hit the ground, Emily’s whole body lay on top of Carlos’s in a spread-eagle fashion, their bodies stacked together.
Carlos became Emily’s human cushion.
Their eyes locked, neither daring to move an inch; the posture couldn’t have been more intimate.
Emily inexplicably thought of that night in the cinema when they were lost in passion, and she had been on top of Carlos just like this.
Perhaps thinking of the same scene, Carlos’s face quickly darkened.
He was, once again, on the bottom!
“I really didn’t mean for this to happen.”
Emily stammered.
She tried to get up urgently, but as she did, her hand unwittingly touched a certain spot on Carlos.
The hand was soft and boneless, and felt warm.
Carlos’s body tensed up, and he let out a muffled grunt.
Emily didn’t dare to move, frozen in position, maintaining the posture on top of Carlos.
“Did you get hurt from the fall?
Where does it hurt?”
“Shut up!”
If Carlos’s gaze could be knives, Emily would have been stabbed into a sieve by now.
Dammit!
This woman’s figure looked good, but felt even better to touch.
The moment he held her, Carlos felt her skin was as smooth as silk, irresistible to the touch, her waist so soft and slim, beckoning one to grasp it more.
And yet, this little seductress kept wriggling on him, her hands roaming, he was about to explode.
Carlos, bending at the waist and supporting himself against the wall, stood up.
He then pulled Emily up as well, and they both awkwardly limped out of the bathroom.
By the time Emily finished showering and came out, Carlos was already dressed in a dark blue silk bathrobe, sitting there, drinking coffee and reading a book.
“My clothes seem to have been thrown away; I had no choice but to wear your clothes for now.”
Emily felt somewhat embarrassed.
When she came out, she hadn’t found her clothes.
She didn’t have many clothes to begin with; she usually wore a nurse’s uniform at work.
When she left the Parker Family home this time, she only brought a few outfits.
The servants, thinking the old clothes were unwanted by Emily, had tossed them away.
She had searched the bathroom and only found one of Carlos’s shirts to wear.
The man’s shirt was very large on her, loose and baggy.
Her graceful figure was faintly discernible under the garment, exuding an indescribable charm.
Carlos’s gaze casually glanced at Emily Parker, and once he did, he found he couldn’t look away.
He struggled to shift his eyes from Emily’s fair legs and saw her moving around the room with wet hair, much like a little child.
Carlos spoke gruffly,
“Come here, dry your hair.
It’s not you I care about, but the baby in your belly.”
Just then, the parenting manual had said that pregnant women are physically weaker and prone to colds, they have to keep warm.
He roughly grabbed a large bath towel and, with awkward movements, dried Emily’s hair.
Emily caught a glimpse of the book Carlos had casually placed on the bedside table, this man was actually reading “New Father’s Guide”; unexpectedly, he seemed to be quite studious.
“Carlos, the way you’re drying my hair, it really resembles my mom.
She’s a very capable person, but she’s not good at taking care of people.
When I was little, every time she dried my hair, I felt like my scalp was about to be ripped off.”
Emily looked at Carlos with a smile, suddenly feeling that this man could sometimes be fierce, yet sometimes quite gentle.
“If you miss your mom, then bring her over; the villa is big enough.”
Carlos said nonchalantly, as women seemed to like living close to their maternal homes.
He never asked about Emily’s family, nor was he interested.
Since their marriage was one of convenience for the sake of the child, to end in a year, he never inquired about Emily’s parents.
It was a while before Emily softly said,
“No need, my mom passed away when I was in junior high.”
Carlos’s movements paused for a moment, the strength in his hand lessening as he continued to dry her hair.
He was silent for a bit before speaking in irritation,
“At least your mom dried your hair for you; when I was a kid, my mom was so busy she never even held me once.”
Emily felt somewhat comforted, but decided it might be better not to offer any comfort next time.
Before long, Carlos’s lawyer arrived, preparing a prenuptial agreement for the two of them.
The content of the agreement was similar to what had been previously arranged.
During this year, Emily could work on the premise of ensuring her health.
Carlos would pay her a living expense of one hundred thousand per month, and all items and properties gifted by the Carter Family would belong to Emily and the child.
During the marriage, both parties were to be free but were to ensure fidelity to each other, and should the other party have a need, the other must comply unconditionally.
Once both parties signed, the prenuptial agreement came into effect.
“Here’s a card; your living expenses will be deposited here from now on.
Tomorrow, go buy some clothes.
If you need a car, there are a few in the garage…”
“I don’t usually drive, I’m not comfortable with it.”
Emily shook her head.
“Then have Oliver Ross arrange a car for you.
You’re pregnant, you can’t be taking public transport.”
“Could it be a cheaper car?
The one today was too flashy; even our hospital director’s car is only worth three to four hundred thousand.”
Emily thought about it and did not refuse again.
Carlos agreed and then left with the lawyer.
Outside the villa, Oliver Ross was waiting beside the Bentley; he opened the door for Carlos,
“Find me a car that’s worth three to four hundred thousand.”
Carlos said.
“Boss, what do you need a bicycle for?”
Oliver Ross asked, puzzled.
“It’s not a bicycle; it’s for picking up and dropping off Emily.
She works in a hospital and doesn’t want to attract too much attention.”
Carlos got into the car, while Oliver Ross scratched his head, finding himself in a tough spot, the cheapest car in the boss’s garage was worth three million…
Back in the villa, Emily had a simple dinner and returned to her room.
She took out an old laptop and unlocked it with her fingerprint.
Upon booting the laptop, she logged into a forum.
What do you think?
